Highlights

Angkor Wat Complex with Sunrise (4:30am – 2:30pm)

Angkor Wat - Begin your early morning tour at 4:30am to witness the stunning sunrise at Angkor Wat. The sun will rise behind the temple, creating a silhouette of its uniquely shaped towers against a colorful sky. This is also an ideal time to explore Angkor Wat, Cambodia’s ancient temple city, which is one of the wonders of the oriental world. The temple is a masterpiece of decorative details and architectural style, with awe-inspiring ruins that stand as a testament to the spectacular achievements of Southeast Asia’s greatest civilization. According to Hindu mythology, it is a replica of the universe, composed of Mount Meru, surrounded by continents and oceans. Its extraordinary bas-reliefs depict various Khmer epics and myths. Angkor Wat’s five famous towers rise into the sky, forming a geometrical arrangement of numerous galleries adorned with bas-reliefs and stone images of celestial Apsara dancers, as well as portals, chambers, and courtyards.

Enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant in front of Angkor Wat or return to your hotel for breakfast and a short rest.

Ta Prohm - Next, visit Ta Prohm, a quiet, sprawling monastic complex that is only partially cleared of jungle overgrowth. It offers some of the best “tree-in-temple” photo opportunities in the Angkor Complex.

Have lunch at a local restaurant near the Angkor area.

Bayon Temple - In the afternoon, visit Bayon Temple (Angkor Thom), known for its giant stone faces that have become one of the most recognizable images of classic Khmer art and architecture. There are 37 standing towers, most of them featuring four carved faces oriented toward the cardinal points.

Baphuon Temple - Nearby is Baphuon Temple, a Hindu temple built in the 11th century before Angkor Wat. The large Reclining Buddha behind it was added in the 16th century. Continue to the Royal Enclosure Wall.

Phimeanakas - Phimeanakas is a pyramid-shaped Hindu temple built in the 10th century, located in the center of the old Royal Palace of Angkor Thom. You can visit Phimeanakas along with the ancient Royal Enclosure Wall.

Terrace of the Elephants - The Terrace of the Elephants is a platform used by many kings to view their victorious returning armies. The platform’s wall is adorned with carvings of elephants. This impressive, two-and-a-half-meter tall, 300-meter long terrace wall spans the heart of Angkor Thom.

Terrace of the Leper King - This double terrace wall features deeply carved nagas, demons, and other mythological beings. It is named after the statue of the ‘Leper King’ that sits on top.

Preah Palilay - A picturesque sandstone and laterite tower set in a cool, shaded forest. The eastern gopura displays some particularly nice Buddhist-themed carvings.

Optional: Watch the sunset from Bakheng Mountain to end Day 1 of your tour.

Beng Mealea & Banteay Srei Tour (8:00am – 5:00pm)

Beng Mealea - In the morning, head to Beng Mealea, a Hindu temple located about 60 kilometers from Siem Reap town. The jungle covers over a 1-square kilometer area of the temple, which was built around the end of the 11th century before Angkor Wat. With very little restoration, you can walk through these mysterious archaeological sites with a sense of adventure. While there may be no great sculptures, it’s a great way to immerse yourself in beautiful archaeological sites.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near Beng Mealea Temple.

Banteay Srei - In the afternoon, visit Banteay Srei, a temple whose name translates to ‘citadel of women,’ likely referring to the delicate beauty of its carvings. Banteay Srei displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art.

Optional: Watch the sunset at Pre Rub Temple, an architecturally and artistically superior temple-mountain. It features beautifully carved false doors on the upper level and offers an excellent view of the surrounding countryside.

Best of the best! - Hidden Angkor Tour is very Honest and reputable company that we can highly recommend to anyone visiting Cambodia. We took the private car option and everything was smooth and efficient. Very flexible if you prefer more or less temples and offer lots of options and advise. We gave them quite a challenge as we only decided to visit Cambodia from Singapore at the last minute and they went out of their way to accommodate us and at a very competitive price. We are in the travel industry so we know when we receive exceptional travel service. You will never regret using this tour company

Best tour services in Siem Reap - I and my five other friends were going through the whole process of reviewing the Hidden Angkor Tour program packages for two-days trip in Siem Reap. It was worthy of our mission and sightseeing of amazing park. Our guide Veasna was known for every single temple history and clearly sound explanations. However, we gained confidence and critical experience during our first journey in South-East Asia Nations such as a richest culture like Cambodia. We've planned came back again in the future to see a wonderful country and smile. Sophan driver's experience person offering plenty cold water. Highly recommended for who looks a best people there.

Highly Recommend - Using Hidden Angkor Tour was an excellent idea and we were constantly surprised by the guide who was brilliant at using the iPhone camera resulting in some amazing pictures of both of us that captured some scenery and great angles at Angkor Wat and the other places we visited during our stay in Siem Reap. I was fascinated to see and learn how Cashew nuts grow and he took us to a tree and explained ( to now understand why they are so expensive !) All of the small points added up to the most amazing experience and we would urge anyone considering a tour company to use Hidden Angkor Tour -Many thanks to Theavy( we think it was Theavy ) and our guide for the excellent service and fabulous tour. Equally on another day Tonle Sap also highly recommended, was excellently arranged and I requested some photo stops that proved to be no problem - it's the little things that make it all so enjoyable and build the memories so do not hesitate to use this company.

Best Private Tour With Great Tour Guide in Siem Reap! - We are a couple from Winchester, Califonia, Age 55 and 48. We were in Siem Reap for 3 days. We spent 2 days to visit the amazing temples and landscape of Angkor. Our tour guide was Mr. Veasna, sometime we felt like discovers. He knows the best way to walk around beyond other large tourist groups. So, often we did not see anyone else. As well he knows the best place to take photos, his knowledge of English language is very good! He tough us much about the ancient Khmer and culture in present days. We were supplied for a walk. The meals we got at noon were very tasty, It was a great adventure to see and experience Angkor, the people living around the temples and the modern Cambodia in Siem Reap. Family tour - We booked a tour with Hidden Angkor Tour and Mr. Sophea as our guide! I was thoroughly impressed not for his ability to skip the crowds and take us to the rights spots at the right moments or his quick short cuts to get us out faster or to get to our bathroom breaks with less people or his ability to choose the best hidden spots for our photos, his friendly energetic personality was never ending! From start to finish of our 2 day tour, he was able to sense when we needed more info or if we just needed to see less. He adapted to what we needed as a group traveling with a child and 2 seniors! The van was so welcomed after visiting each temple and the driver welcomed us with cold towels and cold water and parked himself close to where we needed Him to be! Mr. Sophea has so much knowledge being a former teacher and gave us an insight on so much more than just the temples! He gave us an insight on the local life, different belief systems and kept us entertained from start to finish! Big tip: Angkor watt and all the other temples are once in a lifetime! You should definitely pay extra for the tour guide even if you just want someone to take amazing photos of your family! There were so many things we would have missed! It was so hot and we were tired, it was nice just to be guided through where we needed to go because after a while everything started looking the same and we could have wasted many hours just trying to find our way back! Definitely recommended! Do the sunrise just for he experience!

A tour worth every penny. - We are a family of 3 and have never been to Cambodia or Angor Wat. We chose the 2days tour including sunrise to avoid the heat and it worked out very well for us. The experience was amazing although it's a bit cloudy or the sunrise would be even more spectacular. Our tour guide, Mr. Veasna studied tourism in a local university and he explained all the details and history of Angkor Wat and other temples to us very well. We found it both educational and entertaining at the same time. Not to say that we've some spectacular pictures taken including one from the scene of Tomb Raiders. Thanks to our tour guide, we were also able to make it back to the hotel for breakfast before continuing the tour. It's a tour you can enjoy, relax and learn all at the same time!

Excellent tour, highly recommend. - This was a fantastic tour and took us to all the major spots. The guide was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the history. I coudn't imagine seeing the temples any other way. The vehicle was nice, air conditioned, and there was plenty of water for along the route. The restaurants we went to were delicious and gave us a real taste of Khmer cuisine. Our guide was also very sure to ensure that we had the best photos and gave us plenty of options of where to take the best photos from. This was definitely the highlight of our trip. Thank you!

Hidden Angkor Tour - Simply the best!!! - My guide was Buntheun and from the moment I was picked up in a nice conformable air conditioned car I knew this was going to be a great 2 day tour. Buntheun knew exactly what temples to go to and when and where to avoid the crowds. He was also great in finding the best spots to take photos. I have some incredible memories that will stay with me forever. Not only was Buntheun a great guide around the temples, I actually found out more about Cambodia in general than I had anywhere else. In between visits of the temples I was always offered ice cold water and a cold towel by our driver Mr. Sophan, if needed. The temples can be very dusty and this was greatly appreciated. I wish I could visit 10/10, I was very happy with my tour. I felt like I was treated like a VIP and I hope that I can use Hidden Angkor Tour and Buntheun's services in the future. Thanks!!!
