Highlights

South Coast, Waterfalls and Glacier Hike

Hveragerdi - A town renowned for its greenhouses and the “Hot River” of Reykjadalur, located in a rift valley between the Eurasian and American continental plates.

Selfoss - The largest town and the capital of South Iceland.

Seljalandsfoss - Experience this waterfall up close as it plunges 60 meters off the Eyjafjallajokull volcano. The path through the cave behind the fall offers one of Iceland’s most spectacular views.

Gljufrabui Waterfalls - A hidden gem that many visitors overlook. We’ll show you where to find it!

Volcano Eyjafjallajokull - Ask your guide about the massive 2010 eruption that brought global fame to Iceland!

Skogafoss - One of the world’s most iconic waterfalls, featured in “Game of Thrones”. Its south-facing position often creates rainbows from the 60-meter cascade’s spray. It’s a popular sight, and you can climb to the top for a different perspective.

Solheimajokull Glacier - Part of the larger Myrdalsjokull glacier, where you’ll embark on an unforgettable glacier hike with all necessary safety gear provided. Enjoy the raw beauty under the guidance of our experienced glacier guide.

Dyrholaey - The stone sea arches of Dyrholaey are visible from Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach.

Reynisfjara Beach - Visit the world-famous black sand beach at Reynisfjara, where basalt columns line the cliffs, volcanic sands meet powerful Atlantic waves, and the sea stacks of Reynisdrangar rise offshore.

Glacier Lagoon and Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon

Vik - Day two begins with a short stop in Vík Village, offering stunning views of the Black Sand Beach and surrounding hills.

Eldhraun Lava Field - A desolate wasteland filled with moss-covered lava formations.

Fjadrargljufur Canyon - A breathtaking river canyon, about a hundred meters deep and nearly two kilometers long, featured in a Justin Bieber music video.

Hofskirkja Church - The last church of its kind built in Iceland, dating back to the 19th century, with a turf roof and surrounded by moss-covered burial mounds.

Glacier Lagoon - Jokulsarlon is a bucket-list location featured in several Hollywood movies. The scenery is stunning and ever-changing as wind and tides move the icebergs. Enjoy a 45-minute amphibious boat tour among the icebergs, possibly spotting seals.

Fellsfjara - Just a short distance from Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach is named for the sparkling fragments of icebergs found here, sculpted by wind and waves on the black sand Atlantic beach.

Highlight of the Week - Our trip through South Iceland was nothing short of outstanding. Our guide, David, was one of the best parts of the trip. He was informative, charismatic, and talked about Iceland in a way that gave us an anecdotal look into the country and its people. The ice lagoon was superb - booking the boat tour is a must. This trip was an amazing way to see the country, and I’m very glad we decided on the 2 day trip instead of doing it all in 1. An easy 5 stars!

Very scenic and beautiful landscape - Had an amazing time on this tour. The south coast seljialandsfoss waterfall, the glacier hike and diamond beach were the highlights of the trip. We were lucky and had clear skies at night which meant we caught the northern lights too at Jokusarlon. Siddi the tour guide was also helpful and gave interesting bits of information at each destination. Overall an unforgettable experience!

Jokulsarlon and Beyond - Mica was an outstanding guide; very knowledgeable, professional, personable and safety conscious. He skillfully provided an adventure experience that pleased 18 individuals of all age groups from the newly wed to the nearly dead. The sights he showed us were grand with many opportunities to actively immerse oneself in the astounding beauty of nature, leaving lasting impressions and memories of Iceland. Black sand beaches, waterfalls, lava fields, glaciers, lagoons, puffins, iceberg viewing by boat and a glacier hike to an ice cave were just a few of the highlights. This trip was by far one of the best tours I have ever been on ( I live in Alaska) and I highly recommend it to everyone as you really get great value for the money paid. Loved the overnight accommodations in the countryside as well. All I can say is book it without hesitation and enjoy! Oh, and ask for Mica!

Well planned, great guide, amazing views - I had a great time on this tour. It is well-paced with enough time to see all the sights without feeling rushed. The highlight was the timing of the visits to Jokulsarlon and Diamond Beach. In the evening before we went to our hotel, we were able to stop at the glacier lagoon. Seeing the icebergs in the quiet twilight was pretty special. Because our accommodation was so close by we also got to see Diamond Beach early the next day when there were fewer people and the light was great! Another highlight was our guide, David. He was full of information on geology, history and anything else you could think of. He took care of the practical things AND brought the jokes. It was great to experience Iceland with a guide who was as wowed out by the landscapes as I was.

Vlad is the GOAT - Great tour with an incredible guide, Vlad. We stopped in multiple places through the south coast. Some of the best views I've seen in my life. The glacier hike was probably the peak of my trip. Our tour guide, Vlad, was so informative and funny. His dry humor really made the drives all the more enjoyable.

Incredible 2 Day Tour - This tour was a wonderful experience, from the pick up time to the itinerary. Our guide, Eddie, was fabulous...he was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history, geography, and geology of Iceland. He even stopped to let us view reindeer grazing near the road. The landscapes were awe-inspiring and the experience was once in a lifetime! The glacier hike and ice caves were amazing as well with wonderful guides. I would go again!
