Soon, we’ll be on the open road, ready for our first stop. Nestled in the County Louth countryside is an early Christian settlement founded by St. Buithe, where we’ll make a brief stop. The site features many ruins, including beautiful Celtic Crosses and a magnificent round tower. Surrounded by serene countryside, it’s easy to see why monks chose this peaceful place to settle.
Oldbridge Estate/Battle of the Boyne Visitors Centre - Back in our luxury car, we eagerly look to our tour guide for our next destination. On July 1, 1690, two kings clashed on the banks of the River Boyne in County Meath. This battle holds significant importance for Northern Ireland, as our guide will explain. Today, the battleground is home to an 18th-century house that serves as the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre. Take a tour, walk the battleground, explore the walled garden, visit the centre, or grab a coffee before we head further north.
Titanic Belfast - Before long, we arrive in Northern Ireland’s capital city. Afterward, we’ll stop in Ballintoy village for a quick refreshment and visit Whitepark Bay on our way to the day’s main attraction.
