Highlights

Prionia - Spilios Agapitos refuge

Prionia - Spilios Agapitos - Our day begins in Litochoro, where we gather and head to Prionia, the starting point of our journey. Prionia is the highest point accessible by car.

Situated at an altitude of 1,100m, Prionia features a parking lot. The 6km route, which takes approximately 4-5 hours with stops, is the most popular hiking trail on Mount Olympus. Most of the hike traverses dense forests of pine, beech, and fir trees and is well-maintained.

Our first day’s endpoint is the Spilios Agapitos Refuge, where we will spend the night either inside the refuge or in tents outside. The refuge is fully equipped with bathrooms, a kitchen, and a power supply. From here, we can enjoy views of the Aegean Sea and the stunning colors of the sunset.

Duration: 4 hours
