Safari - Experience of A Lifetime!!! - Frank was our driver/host - which picked us up at the hotel. He was more than a driver, he was attentive, helpful, informative, and patient. Our ride from Cape Town to Garden Route Game Lodge was very nice! We were able to stop for breakfast (The Restio - Amazing cappuccino and almond croissant) and breaks as needed. The stop in Agulhas - "The Actual Southernmost Tip of African mainland (and) Where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans Meet." If you ever get the opportunity to do this 2 day safari, ask for Frank as your driver. Once we arrived at Garden Route Game Lodge, the check-in was seemless, as well as welcoming. We started our game drive within 30-40 minutes with our game driver|Shana. Lets just say - neither disappointed!! Shawna was excellant and the sightings were Amazing!!! As we spotted the animals, Shawna both explained and allowed us more than enough time to film and take pictures. We were so engrossed in seeing the animals, the time went by too quickly. Dinner and service was top notch. The rooms were as well, but the reason for coming of course, was the chance to see animals we would never see in the wild other wise. That being said, we started the morning drive with Shawna (Beautiful Sunrise) seeing cape buffalo, and next - lions. "Oh My!" I just wanted to say oh my. We were able to see 4 of the big 5 and plenty of other animals. My best advice - DO IT!!! *Ask for Shawna :-)

Amazing - The 2 Day Safari Experience was amazing!! Both the Tour guide and Ranger informed the guests about the iternary and both had a good sense the humor. The dinner and breakfast at the Lodge was outstanding. I would highly recommend it

this is the way to go - This was a terrific tour. We did see a lot of animals close up thanks to our excellent safari tour guide Thomas. The drive out and back was also good, saw a couple of things on the way and got good info from the driver, who also made several bath room stops. There was not enough time for the visits on the way out and back for our taste, but we are used to driving on our own normally. Overall a great tour and the main attraction - the safari - was excellent including really good accommodations.

Don’t think, just do it!! - I absolutely loved this tour! 10/10 ⭐️ I want to start off talking about our tour guide, Vaughn. He was fantastic and was great about setting expectations from the start. Really nice, funny, helpful, etc… and you have the opportunity to ask for him, do it! Now I want to talk about the tour a bit because it’s a bit vague in the description. I was picked up from my hotel around 6:45 AM. Pick up time varies on your location. After we got picked up, we started our way toward the garden route. The garden route is absolutely beautiful and wonderful drive. The drive is long, but there are plenty of stops along the way. You have chances to eat food and have bathroom breaks. We started off having breakfast at this beautiful spot (you pay). Then more driving and from there stopped at another spot that had beef, pies, burgers, and chips and such (you pay). We hit up a lighthouse as well. When you arrive at the hotel you’re given some time to put your stuff away before heading out for the sunset safari. Then when you get back you’re asked to meet immediately after at the restaurant. You receive a three course meal that is already (they paid) for. Then you’re off to bed early and you have sunrise Safari. Immediately following the safari, you have a breakfast (they pay). From there you head back to Cape Town. We had two stops one to go will watching and the other two Betty’s Bay to see the Penguins. You arrive back in Cape Town around six or 7:00 PM. I absolutely loved this trip and will recommend it to anyone. The only thing is I wish I had stayed longer at the lodge! Hope this helps!!! 🤍

Unique experience / Unique experience - Fantastic tour. The highlight is of course the safari but the drive there had spectacular views as well. Our guide, Mawande, was particularly well prepared. He knew lots of information about the different places we visited and always tried to provide us with some insight below the surface. Definitely recommend it. It was a fantastic tour. The safari is certainly the most special, but the trip there has spectacular views. Our Guide, Mawande, was particularly well prepared and knew many interesting details of the places we visited. He also always presented this information with the historical context of the place. We highly recommend it.

An amazing experience to see and learn about South Africa. - I had an amazing journey through South Africa. It started with a great driver who picked us up from Cape Town, Mawande. What I liked about the drive with Mawande is that he would point out so much along the way. He provided insightful context, and history, and answered questions well. He also wasn't afraid to tell us what he truly thought including the good and bad. I feel like I learned a lot about the country from someone who's seen a lot of it. Also, the drive was very scenic and we made plenty of nice stops. The accommodations at the game lodge were amazing, with great rooms, amazing food, and in a beautiful park. Everyone was also very nice and helpful. The tour guide/driver for the Safari was also pretty amazing, as he made sure we'd see as many animals as possible. He also provided a lot of interesting facts about each animal we saw. It was clear he enjoyed his work.

2 day Safari excellent - Our 2 day safari was a great experience. We had a night/next morning safari where we saw rhinos, Buffalo, lions, zebra, elephants, antelope, unfortunately we could not find the cheetahs and the giraffes had gone to far on the reserve for us to see. We had dinner after the night safari and breakfast after the morning safari. The place we spent the night were like little huts, very clean and a great view of the reserve. The staff at the lodge were excellent and our safari guide Rigchter was excellent and knowledgeable. Our guide to get us to and from the safari, Chris, was excellent, very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very personable. We stopped at little side places to get coffee or snacks, stopped at places like the Southern most point of South Africa to see where the 2 oceans meet, stopped at Hermanas for whale watching and some lunch, and stopped at a penguin colony. The whole trip was a great time/experience for us. I highly recommend this 2 day safari experience, definitely ask for Chris, to be your driver to the reserve and back. Deb
