Highlights

Camel right, night in desert camp

Draa Valley - Leaving Marrakech at 7.00 AM we travel towards Ouarzazat, driving some 200 km through the Atlas Mountains where you will see beautiful landscapes and many authentic Berber villages.
Our first big stop will be in ‘Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah’ a 16th century fortified village and a UNESCO world heritage site. Many big movies have been shot here, (Gladiator, Laurence of Arabia, The Mummy, Prince of Persia…Game of Thrones). We visit the fortress before traveling on to Ouarzazat, the capital city of cinema in Africa, where we stop for lunch. After lunch we drive towards Agdz and Zagora through Draa Valley (the oasis of palm trees). At Zagora you leave the van to ride a camel to the nomad camp just as the sun sets. The camel ride is approximately an hour.
We arrive at the camp and have mint tea the welcoming drink with the nomads after which dinner is served. The rest of the evening is spent around the campfire with the nomads making music under a starry sky. We sleep in nomad tents.

High Atlas Mountains - We wake you up in plenty of time to see the beautiful sunrise over the dunes. We breakfast at the camp before returning by camel to the van. On the way back to Marrakech we will stop to visit the Draa Valley, (the oasis of palm trees) and later we have lunch in the Atlas Mountains. We arrive back in Marrakech for around 18.00.

Unforgettable Journey Through Marrakech and Agafay Desert - What a special experience provided to our group by Mustafa and Farid! They were incredible in touring us around Marrakech and the Agafay desert where they taught us so much about the Moroccan culture. The days were jam packed with fun activities from hiking to a beautiful waterfall to riding camels during the sunset. Not to mention, both Mustafa and Farid are incredibly knowledgable about their country, and they both have very strong English skills making communication very seamless. I would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone, what a special experience it was!!! Thank you Mustafa and Farid!

Super fun time - Abdullah is the best! Had so much fun with 7 friends. We went to great spots and the tour guide was super knowledgeable. The driver was also super nice. He was genuinely interested and we all recommend the trip to anyone!

Desert Trip - This is a must if you're in the area to see the sand dunes, while I could have skipped the camel ride, I very much enjoyed the views. This was a very long car ride from Marrakesh, I would suggest you look to just get to the dunes, the other attractions weren't really worth it. Very much enjoyed the accommodations and the experience overall.

Firstly, I'm not sure this trip is... -
Firstly, I'm not sure this trip is exclusive to Viator. Someone else on the trip told me they had booked it through their Riad and paid half of what I paid by booking it online.
The camp was extremely noisy and difficult to sleep. There were dogs barking throughout the night and the tent creaked loudly from the wind. The tent door also blew open in the middle of the night from the wind.
Breakfast wasn't much, it was stale bread from the night before and hard boiled eggs.
The main downside of the trip was the constant tipping for each guide you encounter it's not just 1 for the trip and for the use of toilets at almost every stop. It didn't feel like good value for money and wasn't made clear in the description.
The main positive of the trip was getting to see some of the desert although the sand dunes are underwhelming in size. It was great to see some kasbahs too.
