Arrival in Puerto Maldonado

Tambopata River - Upon your arrival at the airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado, we will greet you and escort you to our motor boat. We’ll cruise down the Madre de Dios River for about 40 minutes to reach our lodge. A refreshing welcome beverage will be waiting for you.
After enjoying a satisfying lunch, we’ll head out to Monkey Island. Here, you’ll witness a variety of monkeys, including capuchins, tamarins, and squirrel monkeys, as they perform acrobatics in the treetops and come down to accept food directly from our hands.
We’ll make our way back to the lodge, and following dinner, we’ll embark on a nocturnal adventure. We’ll navigate the Madre de Dios River by boat in search of the nocturnal caimans that typically line the riverbanks. Don’t forget to bring a flashlight for this excursion. You’ll spend the night at the lodge.

Would definitely recommend for any nature/animal lovers - Our guide, Franklin, was awesome. I know seeing animals can be unpredictable but we were fortunate enough to see and feed monkeys, see 3 species of caiman, a capybara, many birds, and the river otters! We also enjoyed doing the canopy bridge and zip line. Weather was hot and humid, as to be expected, but we knew what we were signing up for. Lodge is nothing extra fancy, but everything you need. Meals were amazing as well.
