Fabulous tour! - LOVED this tour! A bit pricey, but so worth it! Our tour guide, Arna, was amazing!! She kept us all so engaged, never droned on and on, made special liytle stops for us and was just perfect. The people we toured with were all so nice and friendly. Sadly, we didn't get to see the Northern Lights but did see so much of the beauty of Iceland.

DO IT! - If you’re on the fence about booking this, DO IT! My partner and I had so much fun and really enjoyed our guide Robert and had an awesome group. Below are some things to highlight. SAFETY: We came in April and the weather was unpredictable. Leading up to the trip, Hidden Iceland was in communication with us informing us of the harsh weather expected during our trip and made a plan to get the most of the tour all while planning around the expected closures. COMFORT: We traveled in a comfortable 13 passenger van. We were able to charge our phones (USB ports) and use the WiFi on board while getting around Iceland. Also, the stops were close enough to where using the restroom was never a concern. TOUR GUIDE: We had Robert as a tour guide and we all loved him. He was funny, personable, and passionate about the country. He educated and entertained us throughout the drive to the point the timid driving flew by. CONVENIENCE: We got to see awesome parts of Iceland and didn’t have to plan anything. All the stops were spaced out, never felt rushed. Robert took the time to check out the weather forecast to let us know the odds of seeing the Northern Lights and told us when to be outside for them, and he was right!! CLOTHING: The price includes borrowing hiking boots, pants, and a jacket during the ice cave. You just send them your sizes and they had it packed it the van for us. HOTEL: Hotel was great. Absolutely no complaints. Clean, modern, and great set up to see the Northern Lights. ICE CAVE: The ice cave was great. We had a seamless transition leaving Pablo (the van we traveled in) and getting with the ice cave guide. He was very nice and had all of our gear ready for us based on sizes, saved a lot of time! The only negative thing I have to say was pickup. We were ready by 0815 at the bus stop and stood in the freezing wind for 40mn. We contacted the team on whatsapp and they assured us the van was coming, we just happened to be the last stop (which is highlighted in the email). This is a very minor complaint. Nonetheless, 10/10 thank you for such a great time!!

Do Not Miss This Tour . . . No Matter the Weather . . . It is Amazing! - We had a wonderful and memorable private tour with Helgi of Hidden Iceland. Our planning was very late - only about 3 weeks before our departure. The small group tours were already booked. But Anika at Hidden Iceland arranged a fantastic set of tours for us, including this 2-day trip. Even though we came to Iceland to see the Northern Lights but could not (clouds and weather) and learned on the morning of our Ice Cave adventure that it was cancelled (flooding), this was one of our best tours because of the personal touch of Helgi at adapting to the weather and circumstances. We experienced every type of weather - snow, white-outs, rain, sleet, gusty winds (that literally blew cars off the road), and sunshine. We saw so many beautiful vistas and waterfalls and beaches and glaciers and rivers. We spent more time at planned and unplanned stops along the way. And learned so much about Iceland, its people, its past, its present, and its future. I cannot thank Helgi and Hidden Iceland enough for their kindness, patience, knowledge, resourcefulness, and generous hospitality. We truly experienced the Iceland expression - everything will work out in the end.

Great tours with Hidden Iceland - My friend and I had a wonderful experience with Hidden Iceland. We booked several tours with them and all were well coordinated, fitted to our wants and preferences, and very informative. They definitely offer the best options in Iceland and we will keep very fond memories of our trip thanks to them. Isabelle

Excellent organization to optimize visits - If you don't have much time or are not used to driving in winter conditions, this 2-day tour offers to visit the most selected parts of the south coast from Reykjavík to Höfn by minibus in a small group. So we enjoy waterfalls like Seljalandsfoss or Skógafoss, incredible beaches like Black beach or Diamond beach, spectacular canyons like Fjaðrárgljúfur, the glacier in Vatnajökull Park, including a walk and visit to the ice cave, or a visit to the lagoon Jökulsárlón glacier, staying in a guest house for one night (although it was covered and we didn't see the northern lights). Absolutely recommended.

Great experience, fabulous guide - The sites we visited were great. The ice cave was amazing. The best part of our trip was our driver and guide Fannar! His knowledge of the geology and history of the area added so much to the trip, as did his music and humor.wonderful two day trip!

Sight Seeing packed with... - Sight Seeing packed with guide that gives great historical information on the areas visited and in general. The sprinkle of local folklore was nice as well. Highly recommend for a great time in a short period of time.

Fantastic experience - a must do! - Our guides were brilliant Fannar and Matej. Great tour bus, very comfortable, it was a small tour group, we had wifi and USB sockets - very handy! Felt very safe with the driving in Iceland. Went went to a lovely restaurant for the evening meal on the first night, which was great. We all sat around a big table and chatted. Accommodation at Lilja guest house was also very good, clean with a good breakfast the following morning. We saw waterfalls, glaciers, ice lagoon, diamond beach, black sand beach, Vik, and an ice cave known as Blue Diamond Cave. I think we were the oldest couple there, in our late sixties, but we managed everything, and care was taken to ensure we were ok, and safe. Our guides were for sure the stars of the show, I don't believe it would have been so enjoyable with other guides. Full marks to them. The two days, whilst busy, encompassed everything I wanted to see on the south coast, it was a really memorable trip, a must do.
