Highly recommend ! - Everything ran really smoothly, first day In Tarangire nation park was amazing and we saw Lions, leopards, elephants and much more! Food is nice, then we stayed at the campsite which was amazing with live performances, nice tents (better than expected) and overall a very fun atmosphere! Then we went to the Ngorogoro crater which was mind blowing and had the best time ever! Our guide Waldon was very good in pointing out the animals and very knowledgable ! Overall amazing and highly recommend

Knowledgeable guide, excellent experience - We had a blast with Allen as our lead guide for this two-day safari. He was patient, knowledgeable, humorous, and an overall fantastic guide. We started in Tarangire Park where Allen helped us see lions, a cheetah, elephants, zebras, and more. We had a delicious hot lunch there that we shared with others on either the same or similar safari trips. After Tarangire, we stayed at Kizumba Camp, a lodge where other safari-goers were also staying. The lodge has tents with beds and mosquito nets - nothing luxurious but it worked perfectly for what we needed. We left early the next day for Ngorongoro Crater which was an unbelievable experience. Allen guided our safari truck safely through the precarious roads and as we got down to the crater he was patient with us as we took tons of photos. There were herds of animals and the scenery - being surrounded by rolling mountains - was breathtaking. We had another hot lunch and after more sightseeing Allen navigated us back to our hotel. 10/10 would recommend!

Very competitive price, excellent guide - Game Park fees in Tanzania are very expensive. This is the main reason why trips to (say) Ngorongoro are so expensive. By the time you’ve stripped out the Park Fees, you realise how little the operator is getting for providing you with a 4WD and driver/guide. We organised a two day, one night Tarangire/Ngorogoro trip with Avocet and, compared to most other operators, they were almost half the price which did worry me slightly. I needn’t have worried though. Mike, our driver/guide was outstanding and the one night’s accommodation was in a property owned by the travel company. The overnight meals provided were good and the tented accommodation was better than I was expecting. So thanks to Jeff, the owner, who was most gracious on our arrival and made sure we were well looked after. The game parks are outstanding. Absolutely teeming with animals and birds. Particularly Ngorongoro. And the infrastructure is good. Dirt roads in the parks are well maintained and the entry/exit and bathroom facilities are clean and tidy so you can see where (some) of your Park Fees are going. I think one day in Ngorongoro is plenty of time though. I certainly didn’t feel as though there were any corners of the park we had missed. Thanks too to the Tanzanian government who have an even better approach to this whole Covid thing than Sweden. We didn’t even require masks on internal flights and, in fact, for added hilarity, they were actually telling Western tourists to remove their masks leaving Zanzibar airport. I highly recommend Avocet Travel. And particularly Mike, our guide. Remember to do the maths on the cut the Tanzanian government is taking and the (small) amount this leaves for the travel operators and tip your driver/guide generously. Contact them direct for their best prices.

Jonas is the man - Our tour was absolutely amazing. The first night we were picked up in Arusha and taken to the Taragire national park, where we saw dozens of elephants giraffe, and babboons, some only mere yards from the land cruiser. We camped that night in a nearby camp ground, which has WiFi, alcohol, great food, a local group of dancers who put on a show in the evening, and lots of travellers. The next morning we went to the Ngorogoro crater. We saw a rhino, hundreds of zebra and wildebeast, flamingos, imapala, gazelle, and some lions at a distance. Our driver Jonas was very friendly, communicative, and attentive to our needs. He even took us to a local Maasai tribe for a meet and greet.

Amazing! And thank you magic mike - So, we had an amazing experience. We saw so many animals in the two parks. Lions, elephants, zebras, girafas, monkeys, buffalos, birds... Magic Mike, our guide, is like one in a million. He knows everything, he is funny, kind and he does everything for a better experience. We will never forget these days. We had good food, a good camping park and a nice time. We truly recommend it. Diogo, portugal

Prepare to be amazed... - I am a solo female traveler and decided to take an inland flight from Zanzibar to Arusha for a two day safari. I had booked already a date but when asking the Safari agency on how to plan the flight and noticed that it is better for me to come one day earlier, they changed without any fuss. Also were happy to pick me up and drop me at a lodge I booked after the safari as well. Talking about customer service! The safari itself was the Tarangire Safari on Day 1 and it was really amazing. I was put with 2 more solo travellers in one group- nice and it felt due to only us three as a very personal experience. Our driver,Waldon was amazing in pointing out the animals for us and extremely funny man! The evening was accomodated in a very nice tent with good sleeping beds and food was also very nice arranged. Day 2; was heading to Nrogoro Crater. I can see why it’s called ‘The Garden of Eden’. What an amazing place and the variety of animals. I could tick of 4 out of the Big 5. The cheetah you can find in the Serengeti, i’ve been told. I witnessed the elephants just crossing the roads so close without disrespecting their personal space. Always a must is to have a good anti-bug spray with you in the evening as it can be a challenge on keeping them away. The mosqito net on the beds does help but take Some extra percautions.

Great experience - The safari with our guide Magic Mike was wonderfull. Especially the part in the Ngorongoro Crater where we saw a lot of animals up close. Our stay was good but the beds were a bit disapointed. The compagny gave us a nice experience, it meet all our expectations.

Alright - Seeing the animals was amazing, our accommodations were sufficient, booking and communication through Mohji was easy and efficient. However there was lots lacking when it came to the planning of the days itself and some of the logistics with arrival and departure times etc. Also everyone on the Safari felt that we were doing most of the guiding and spotting the animals ourselves, our 'professional guide' did little more than just drive... Disappointing since we were hoping to learn a lot about the animals and have different ones pointed out to us. Maybe if 'Magic Mike' mentioned in lots of the other reviews had been our guide, this could've been a 5 star.

Safari - (Magic) Mike was a great guide, ensuring we saw lots of animals and got away from the numerous other jeeps in the safari park. We had fun on the safari but some of the logistics were not well executed. Our tent had only one single bed in it for two of us and, during the thunderstorm overnight, water came in our tent leaving the floor wet. They also completely ignored my dietary requirements meaning I couldn't each much. Overall we had a good time but some things could have gone smoother

Bad transfer - All ok, except for the last part. My transfer to the hotel was a chaos. I arrived with a delay of more 2 hours
