HA GIANG CITY - QUAN BA - YEN MINH - PHO CAO – SUNG LA - DONG VAN TOWN
Ha Giang - During your first day you will see a big change in the scenery when you drive into the mountains before the town of Tam Son. This is the first peak of what will lie ahead the rest of the tour. The tour takes you through the Karst Geopark. The Dong van Karst Plateau is a major geoheritage sight in Vietnam. You will see a lot of rice fields, thousands of limestone rocks and magnificent views. People will be working on the land and you can catch a glimpse of life on the countryside. Before driving in the town of Dong Van you will make a stop at the residence of the Vuong family, which is still called “Palace of Hmong King”. The trip continues to Dong Van town. Here you can walk around the town, enjoy dinner and relax.
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - Stretching over 2,356 square kilometers, Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark encompasses four districts within Ha Giang Province. Its extraordinary beauty and geological significance have earned it a place among the most captivating natural landscapes in Southeast Asia.
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Quan Ba Heaven Gate is a unique Ha Giang attraction located at a height of 1500m above the sea. It is the main gate leading you to the heaven of Ha Giang – the land of a majestic rock plateau.
Lung Cam Cultural - Tourism Village - Located in the narrow, incredibly picturesque Sung La Valley is the village of Lung Cam. Deemed a ‘cultural tourist village’ by the local authorities, the highlight here, aside from the stunning setting, is a century-old traditional Hmong house. The adobe structure, surrounding a stone-paved courtyard, was, in a former life, an opium emporium, and more recently featured in a Vietnamese film.
Lung Cam is located 25km west of Dong Van. If you don’t have your own wheels, you can flag down any of the buses that connect Dong Van and Tam Son.
Dinh Vua Meo - Visit the mansion of the Vuong family (King of the Hmong people): Coming here, you will truly admire the life and culture of the H’Mong people. In the late afternoon, under the last sunlight of the day, you will get the most authentic experience of the architectural exchange of three cultures: H’Mong, French, and Chinese.
DONG VAN town – MA PI LENG pass – NHO QUE River– MEO VAC – MAU DUE – HA GIANG city.
Ha Giang - On this day you will also stop at the famous Ma Pi Leng pass where you can see the Nho Que river underneath. This pass is well known and most tourist call this the most beautiful part of the loop. Just after the pass you will take another road back to Yen Minh. This road takes you through equally beautiful landscapes as the first day. From Yen Minh the route takes you back to Ha Giang City. During the tour you will see the different cultures and hill tribes such as the H’mong tribe living in the Ha Giang province. Their beautiful clothes are easily recognizable. You will be impressed along the way by all aspects of the trip, the stunning views, fascinating countrylife and beautiful cultures. The whole trip is an immensely rewarding experience and will give you life-long memories.
Ma Pi Leng Pass - Visiting Ma Pi Leng Pass allows travelers to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region while also experiencing the rich cultural heritage of the local ethnic communities. The journey along the pass is an adventure in itself, with numerous opportunities for hiking and motorbiking.
Nho Que River - The Nho Que River in Ha Giang is an absolute must-visit for avid travelers seeking an unforgettable experience in the misty wonders of Northeast Vietnam. If you are looking to capture breathtaking photos during your upcoming trip to Ha Giang, be sure to include a stop at the Nho Que River.
Meo Vac - If you’re coming from Dong Van, the highlight of your trip to Meo Vac is likely to happen as soon as you cross into the district, namely the jaw-ping Ma Pi Leng Pass.
The road running through the pass is carved right into the side of the mountain, and as you climb to the 2000 meter high peak, you will witness some of the greatest panoramic views Vietnam has to offer.
