Cusco one week solo travel trip review with Sandro and Saul - I traveled to Peru mainly to see Machu Picchu but Sandro and Saul showed me how much more Peru had to offer. This was my first big trip outside of the United States by myself and it didn’t take long to not feel alone, if you’re looking for the two best tour guides in all of Peru, these are the guys. I went to Peru alone and left with family, they have a passion for their visitors and their country unlike anyone else and i can’t wait to come back and see them again.

A top 3 travel experience of ALL TIME - First - a general recommendation - DO THE 1 DAY INCA TRAIL + HUAYNA PICCHU HIKE. It was top 3 travel experience for me from the 15 countries I've traveled to. I've never seen such natural beauty nor have I ever been so astounded by human ingenuity as I was during this experience. Being able to see Machu Picchu from three different vantage points (from the Sun Gate, on the ground in the ruins, and from the top of Huayna Picchu) contributed greatly to the awe I experienced here. I was shocked that Machu Picchu was able to surpass my expectations, because it is so hyped up from many travelers. Now, to discuss the tour itself. Domingo was such a joy to be around. He was easy to talk to and did a great job accommodating us during less than ideal circumstances (he was very patient with me during the hike when I didn't feel 100% and when the train to Ollantaytambo was delayed, and he kindly moved his train back further when my husband had a mild case of food poisoning the morning of Day 2). I will say, I thought the tour of the ruins themselves was pretty short and I didn't learn as much as I had hoped, but I think that was in part due to the late start we had on day 2 due to my husband's stomach. The one thing I really appreciated about Domingo was a new perspective that he offered me. I told him how much I had read to prepare for the trip and all the theories that historians had, and he encouraged me to make my own opinions based off the things I see and the people from the region. He definitely motivated me to change my opinion on what Machu Picchu was. For that, I am grateful for the time I had with Domingo.

Wonderful experience with our guide Sandro! - A wonderful experience! We did the 2-day Inca trail with our guide Sandro and it couldn't have gone better. Although it seemed that the weather was not going to be with us, we were able to have a spectacular view of Machu Picchu through the fog. Sandro was always attentive and gave us explanations of everything we saw along the way.
