Manjanggul Cave - Manjanggul Cave is a World Natural Heritage Site. It stretches 7,400 meters in total, with 1 kilometer open for exploration. This cave was formed by flowing lava. Manjanggul Cave is a lava tube created by volcanic eruptions from Geomunoreum near Hallasan Mountain. As the surface and floor cooled quickly, the surface hardened while hot magma flowed like a tube. It takes about an hour to descend underground. There are puddles of water, so caution is needed while walking. English explanations are available throughout the 1km path until you reach the stone pillar. After the tube-like cave was formed, lava flowed down from a hole in the ceiling and solidified, creating a long stone pillar.

Manjanggul Cave is closed on the first Wednesday of every month, and the last entry is at 17:00, so you need to arrive at the parking lot by 16:50.

Woljeongri Beach - Woljeong-ri beach is lined with numerous cafes. You can enjoy coffee while taking in the beach views, wind generators, and benches. It’s a great spot for taking photos with Jeju beach as your backdrop. Driving along the coastal road and ending the drive here is very romantic and peaceful.

Seongeup Folk Village - Located at the foot of Hallasan Mountain in Jeju Island, Seongeup Folk Village is a small village rich in culture from 1410 to 1914. The village’s cultural assets have been passed down through generations, including residential houses, Confucian shrines and schools, ancient government offices, stone statues, large millstones, fortress remains, and stone monuments. The village also preserves intangible cultural properties like folk games, local food, crafts, and dialects. Even the trees, such as hundred-year-old zelkova and nettle trees, are part of the region’s heritage.

Seongeup Folk Village showcases the unique culture of Jeju Island, with the local Tongsi being a notable feature of Jeju’s folk culture.

Saryeoni Forest Path - This 15-kilometer forest trail runs from Bijarim Road south of Jeolmul Oreum in Bonggae-dong, Jeju-si, through Mulchat Oreum, to Saryeoni Oreum in Namwon-eup, Seogwipo-si. Recent forest reclamation projects have made this a place for forest healing, nature learning activities, and experiencing forest culture. It promotes health, the value of forests, and a love for nature through tree planting. It is gaining attention as an ecological space.

Jeju Stone Park - Jeju Stone Culture Park is a museum and ecological park that comprehensively showcases Jeju’s stone culture. The exhibition hall opened on June 3, 2006, seven years after construction began. The park is large, so it’s best to visit with a leisurely schedule. Located in front of Oreum, a natural heritage unique to Jeju, the park’s entrance is marked by a castle-like structure made of piled stones. Following the viewing path, you can see various stone statues depicting the tale of Seolmundae Grandma and her son, General Ohbaek. The museum is underground.

Sangumburi Crater - Sangumburi Crater is a parasitic volcanic crater of Hallasan Mountain and the only submerged volcano on Jeju Island. The crater’s outer circumference is 2,067m, the inner circumference is 756m, and its depth ranges from 100-146m, forming a conical cliff. The floor area is about 8,000 pyeong. The crater rarely ejected lava; instead, an explosion created a deep hole, scattering material in all directions. The crater’s diameter and depth are larger than Baeknokdam, but water does not accumulate and flows out to the sea through the basalt gravel layer. This type of crater is called a maar, and Sangumburi Crater is unique in Korea, with only a few others in Japan and Germany.

Jeongbang Waterfall - Jeongbang Falls is one of Jeju Island’s three major waterfalls, along with Cheonjiyeon Falls and Cheonjeyeon Falls. It is the only waterfall in Korea where water falls directly into the sea. The waterfall is 23 meters high, and the two streams that fall along the black cliffs create thrilling sounds and stunning views. The surrounding steep cliffs and cypress trees in autumn create a picturesque landscape, recognized as one of Yeongju’s ten most scenic views under the name ‘Jeongbang River Pond.’ The words ‘Seobulgwacha’ are said to be engraved on the cliff of Jeongbang Falls.

Oedolgae - Oedolgae, the starting point of Jeju Olle-gil Course 7, is a 20m high stone pillar rising from the sea. Named ‘Oedolgae’ because it stands alone in the sea, it is also called ‘Janggun-seok’ or ‘Halmang Rock.’ Legend has it that Choi Young-gun decorated this rock like a general to cause the enemy to self-destruct during a battle with the Yuan dynasty. The legend of ‘Halmangbawi’ offers a glimpse into the lives of Jeju’s people who awaited others from the sea.

Jusangjeollidae - Columnar joints are quadrangular pillars that appear as if delicately carved with a sharp knife, forming vertical joints in basaltic lava flows. They were created by the rapid cooling and contraction of thick lava. The hexagonal stone pillars, stacked like stairs and surrounded like a folding screen, showcase nature’s mystery. The waves crashing against the pillars are a sight to behold, sometimes creating a ‘show’ over 20m high. The Jusangjeolli Cliffs along the Jungmun-Daepo Coast are 30 to 40m high and about 1km wide, making them the largest in Korea and designated as Jeju Island Natural Monument No. 443.

Yongmeori Beach - Yongmeori Coast, located at the foot of Sanbangsan Mountain, extends to the coast. Named because it resembles a dragon’s head going into the sea, the sandstone rocks have been shaped by waves over tens of millions of years, forming unique cliffs. The oyster room, hollowed out by waves, and the wave marks on the rock walls reflect a long history. The 30-50m long cliffs, curving like a meander, have been used as backdrops for commercials and movies.

Sanbangsan Mountain - Sanbangsan is a mountain in Sagye-ri, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, South Korea. ‘Sanbang’ means a mountain with caves. The mountain is 395m above sea level, with a sea cave at about 150m above sea level on the south side, hence the name Sanbangsan. The Buddha is enshrined in a small cave under Sanbangsan Mountain, known as ‘Sanbanggulsa.’ Water drips here continuously, referred to as the tears of ‘Sanbangdeok,’ the goddess.

O’sulloc Tea Museum - Opened in September 2001, O’sulloc Tea Museum features domestic and international tea-related items. It is a cultural space that blends Eastern and Western traditions with modern elements, offering a nature-friendly resting space. The museum provides a learning experience about green tea and traditional Korean tea culture, where you can enjoy all things Sulloc tea.

Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road - The Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road, located along the western end of Jeju Island, features an offshore wind farm with windmills lined up along the coastal road. The white windmills against the emerald green sea create a refreshing autumn scenery. From here, you can see Chagwido Island in the distance and various sights on the blue sea. The Sinchang Coastal Road is one of the best sunset spots, perfect for taking photos and enjoying the sunset. Driving along the coastal road, you can find a walking course called the Ecology Experience Center.

It is also a famous filming location for drama bicycles. With the sunset, crossing the bridge with the wind generator while taking pictures, and walking around the white lighthouse, you can find a path for recovery of body and mind.

Hyeopjae Beach - Hyeopjae Beach, located in Hallim-eup, Jeju-si, is a must-visit beach on the west side of Jeju Island. It is part of Jeju Olle Course 14 and is adjacent to Geumneung Beach. The sea’s emerald color is healing to look at. At low tide, the silver sandy beach with many shells stretches endlessly.

In front of the sea, ‘Biyangdo’ island resembles the image of an elephant swallowing a boa constrictor from ‘The Little Prince.’ The sunset over Biyangdo Island and the sea is another spectacular sight. In summer, the beach is open at night, allowing you to enjoy Jeju Island’s blue night under palm trees.

Hyeopjae Beach has shallow waters with a gentle slope and a pine forest, making it a great vacation spot for families with children.

Handam Coastal Walk - Handam Coastal Trail, also known as Gwakgeum Olle Trail, is a 1.2 km promenade along the coast from Aewol Port to Gwakji Gwamul Beach. It is beautiful in harmony with the surrounding landscape. The coastal road, with waves splashing right next to it, is one of the 31 ‘hidden unexplored places in Jeju City’ announced in 2009.

The trail features various lava-formed rocks and a winding path along the coast made of black rocks, adding to the walking experience. Located in the west of Jeju Island, it offers beautiful sunset views. The Handam Walking Coastal Path is a beach road where divers go to get their supplies. It has a beautiful view and takes about 20 minutes to walk. It is called the path of the divers.
