Cozia Monastery - Monastery Cozia is known as one of the oldest and most complex historical and art in Romania , Cozia Monastery is situated on the right bank of the river Olt , in Calimanesti . Built between 1386-1388 and in 1393 this monastery is one of the most important foundations of Mircea cel Batran . In the nave are the tombs of Mircea cel Batran and Teofana nun , mother of Michael the Brave , a nun after her son’s death and who died in 1605. Cozia is the most visited monastery in Romania , the monastery museum is the only one with free entry. Worth a stop at the monastery to light a candle for our soul .We feel much closer to God.
