Highlights

The classic Golden Circle and the Kerid Volcanic Crater

Thingvellir National Park - Your first day starts by driving from Reykjavik to the historic site of Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet which creates an amazing feeling having one foot in each world!

Geysir - You will then travel onwards to the world famous site of the hot spring Geysir. Known throughout the world for it´s power and beauty, Geysir has become a synonym for this amazing show of nature. Strokkur, another hot spring, sits nearby and is very active, erupting to heights up to 30 meters every few minutes. In the Geysir area you will also have time to buy lunch.

Gullfoss Waterfall - Next on the agenda is the waterfall Gullfoss – the golden waterfall. One of the most popular tourist attractions is Iceland, Gullfoss will amaze you with it´s raw power and beauty, plummeting down 32 meters into a rugged canyon.

Kerid Crater - These three attractions complete the classic Golden Circle – but to add even more to your experience – we also stop at the spectacular Kerid Volcanic Crater. This 3000 year old crater is 55 meters deep and offers a unique view of the Icelandic nature. Admission to the Kerid is included.

Hveragerdi - Hveragerði is packed with famous greenhouses powered by green energy, horse farms and even a Geothermal Park

Black Beach, Waterfalls and Glacier Hike

Seljalandsfoss - Experience this waterfall right up close as it crashes off the side of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano from a height of 60 meters. There is also a path leading behind the waterfall, that is open on most days during spring and summer.

Gljufrabui Waterfalls - A hidden waterfall falling into the cave, which most visitors miss. We’ll tell you where to find it!

Skogafoss - Skogafoss is one of the most iconic waterfalls in the world, and even featured in “Game of Thrones”. Because of its south-facing position, it is often covered in rainbows as the 60-meter cascade of water produces a lot of spray! Skogafoss is one of the most popular sights in the country and it’s possible to climb to the top of the falls to see it from there too

Solheimajokull Glacier - Solheimajokull is part of one of the largest glaciers in the country, Myrdalsjokull. Solheimajokull glacier is part of a much larger glacier, Myrdalsjokull, ice-sheet in the Katla UNESCO Global Geopark, and you will have a chance to walk across this ancient blue-ice glacier. Accompanied by a qualified guide and with all the necessary safety equipment provided, including ropes, crampons, and helmets, you’ll be able to really appreciate the sheer scale of the glacier and explore the crisscross of crevasses, ice tunnels and other glacial features here.

Reynisfjara Beach - It is now time to visit the world-famous black sand beach at Reynisfjara, where beautifully-shaped basalt columns hug the cliffs, volcanic sands are pounded by powerful Atlantic waves and the starkly shaped sea stacks of the Reynisdrangar tower just offshore

Diamon Beach, Glacier Lagoon and Amphibian Boat Ride

Vik - The third day starts with short stop in Vík Village that offers stunning views over Black Sand Beach and hills surrounding this small settlement

Eldhraun Lava Field - A barren and desolate wasteland filled with moss-covered lava formations.

Hofskirkja Church - Hofskirkja was the last church of this type to be built in Iceland, dating back to the 19th century. Deep layers of turf make up the roof of the church here, which is also surrounded by moss-covered burial mounds

Glacier Lagoon - Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon is truly an extraordinary place, a bucket-list location featured in several Hollywood movies, but also very peaceful and tranquil too. The scenery is stunning, and always changing too, as wind and tides pull the icebergs in different directions all the time. Here you will have an option to take a thrilling 45-minute amphibious boat tour among the bergs, getting up close to these icy giants and maybe even seeing a seal or two as well.

Fellsfjara - Just a few hundred yards away from the Glacier Lagoon you will see the Diamond Beach, that gets its name from the countless sparkling fragments of multi-colored icebergs found here. They are slowly being sculpted into fantastic shapes by the wind and the waves on this black sand Atlantic beach.

After enjoying the magic of the Glacier Lagoon, it will be time to return to Reykjavik, with a drive first to Vik for a rest stop and then continuing onwards to your drop-off in the capital city.

Glacier hype - Christine's full professionalism was an inseparable element of the hike. Walking on a glacier that shrinks with every second and although it is powerful reminds us that everything passes. it makes everything that happens there unique and unrepeatable. something amazing.

Excellent tour - What an amazing experience! Did not disappoint, but in fact exceeded expectations, Thor and Siddi ( shortened names of course to help us all to say them ) were our guides. Both were informative, very helpful and went out of their way to help make the tour memorable. Even doubled back for one of the guys on the bus who had lost their phone at one of the waterfalls. Highlight for me was the diamond beach and the glacier hike! I would happily recommend Nice Travel and would use them again.

A Memorable Holiday - My boyfriend and I were beyond impressed with our three-day tour of Iceland. Every activity highlighted the diverse beauty that makes Iceland one of the most stunning countries to explore. The natural landscapes were truly breathtaking. We were fortunate to have two fantastic tour guides: Bart, who was incredibly personable and insightful, and Thor, who charmed us with his guitar playing, making our tour one of the most memorable vacations we've ever had. We felt we received excellent value for the experience. We definitely recommend this tour and plan to use their services again in the future.

Excellent! - We had a great experience on the 3 Day Golden Circle, South Coast, Glacier Lagoon and Glacier Hike Tour. Filip was our guide for the first day (Golden Circle) and Gulli was our guide for the second and third day. Both of them were fun and full of great information. Gulli, in particular, was incredibly knowledgeable about history, culture and volcanoes. Filip curated a great playlist of music that complemented the stories and scenery. The guides on the glacier hike and amphibious boat tour were also excellent. The hotels were clean and comfortable, with great breakfasts. The bus was comfortable and the WiFi worked very well. We highly recommend this tour!

Great way to see a lot in short amount of time - This tour is the best way to see all the highlights of south Iceland. Highly recommend. Great guides and made several short stops that were not on the itinerary which made it even better. This tour company was easy to get ahold of if you had any questions or issues.

Expert Guide...incredible value - This tour was incredible! Our guide was so knowledgeable and pivoted to make sure that we saw as many sights as we could...things most people don't know are there! When we had a sunny afternoon, he shifted our itinerary to make sure we saw things that were best in "good light!" The hotels were nice. Great value...highly recommend.

Fabulous 3 day tour of south Iceland! - This 3 day tour packed in so much and then seemed to add more! Our guide Guli was both a really good driver and an interesting and informative guide. Riding in a comfortable small bus, he kept us informed and entertained during the longer bits of the drive. We saw so many beautiful wonders and had time to do a bit of hiking or walking at all the important ones. From waterfalls, to Iceland’s old faithful geysir that irruption about every 8 minutes, to lava crater lakes, glacial lagoons…it was great! The hotels we stayed in were very comfortable, with good breakfasts and friendly staff. A wonderful way to see the wonders of the south—I would do another Nicetravel tour in a heartbeat!

Fantastic Iceland Tour— highly recommend!! - Our adventure in Iceland was amazing!! Mika, our guide, was fantastic. We never felt rushed, had a fun time, and got to see so much more than advertised. Additionally, Mika kept apprised of the weather, and reordered tour stops to enable us to see and do more. We had a wonderful time.
