Best trip ever! - The safari organised by Robert at explorer Kenya was exceptional from start to finish. And what can we say about Sammy our safari guide? He was a blessing. We were a family of 4 with a 9 and 7 year old. Safari requires a lot of patience as you drive around and much of what you see is pot luck. But not only did sammy keep our kids entertained (with singing Kenyan songs!) but his years of experience ensured that he knew the best places to go to have a chance at seeing the rarest of animals. But the end of the morning session on day 2 we had seen lions, cheetahs, a leopard, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes. We felt so lucky to go with this company and have Sammy as our guide. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Safari - We had an incredible experience with Encounter Africa Safari for our 5 day safari in the Masai Mara National Preserve. Solomon was our guide who was made the trip truly wonderful. He was patient, kind and extremely knowledgeable about all the animals in Masai Mara National Preserve. We loved talking with him on our game drives and missed him once we left. He is a gentle and caring soul, I would request him if you can. Working with Encounter Africa Safari was easy as they had excellent communication and were able to tailor the trip to our needs. Every step of the way was smooth and stress free. We would highly recommend them. We also value their ethical background which is primarily why we chose them in the first place for our honeymoon.

Amazing Safari with Samuel!! - The safari was perfect. We saw the Big 5. We highly recommend our guide. His name is Samuel Ndungu, and he was fantastic!!!

10/10 experience - Our driver Antony was incredible. We felt totally comfortable the entire time and got to see all of the big 5 animals. The resorts were very nice and the staff were so kind and helpful. This was our first safari so didn’t know what to expect but it still exceeded expectations. Great experience.

The trip of a lifetime! - This was a trip we will never forget. The service was impeccable, beginning with Mr. Keranji in Embu. Communication was prompt and efficient. They picked a great camp for our stay (Matira). And I do not have enough positive words for our guide, Godfrey. He was truly amazing — knowledgeable, super friendly, relaxed, great sense of humor, and really kind. He made every ride a winner. We would absolutely use Explorer Kenya again — and hope to soon!

Sammy is hands down the best driver and guide we could have asked for. His skills behind the wheel were unmatched as he navigated us through Masai Mara diverse landscapes with ease, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey throughout. Sammy's ability to spot wildlife in the Masai Mara was truly remarkable. He seemed to know exactly where to find the animals, and his expertise in positioning our vehicle for the best views and photos was exceptional. A Most Amazing Safari - Explorer Kenya helped me and my loved ones experience safari in a way we will never forget. Our guides, John, Martin, Simon-Peter, and James, were all helpful, kind, and informative, each and every day. They shared their wealth of knowledge with us, about the Maasai Mara and Amboseli, and their expertise made for extraordinary game drives and incredible sightings! Jambo Kenya - A safari to remember ! - We had booked for a 3 Day safari in Masai Mara with Kenyan Explorer and our first African safari was spellbinding and definitely has set the bar for our future safari trips! From the word go, our queries,concerns and requirements were handled well by Ms.Purity and we were met by Mr.Martin at our hotel in Nairobi. We had a 6 hour ride through the Rift Valley to the Ashnil Mara lodge inside the Masai Mara. This ride is truly beautiful and mesmerising and the climate is lovely. From our entry into the Masai Mara Reserve, we witnessed some amazing views of the wild life - gazelles, cheetah, giraffes, zebra, ostrich, hyenas, lions, lionesses, badgers, mongoose, elephant, hippos, crocodiles and variety of birds...thanks to our very efficient guide , Mr.Martin who took the time to ensure we got a photo-op of the animals in their moment. Our guide, Mr.Martin, was knowledgeable about the park and ensured we got to see the animals. He was concerned about safety, adhered to the rules and was patient and quick in spotting wildlife. In fact, on our first day, we saw a family of mother cheetah with her four cubs fighting hyenas over a kill. The next day, we got to see 2 lions right on the road crossing across. We had the opportunity to learn the names of so many types of deer and antelopes.... We saw some beautiful sunsets. Our stay at Ashnil Mara was Lovely. On our return we visited the Masai village which was an eye opener into the lives of a Masai. Our safari in Masai Mara was truly a memorable one. We recommend Explorer Kenya and our guide Mr.Martin was remarkable!
