Visiting the stars in the Desert - A most enjoyable holiday. Younes allowed us to tailor the tour to our needs and Mohamed was the best driver we could have. We even changed plans on the go.
I’d do it again!

A fantastic experience all round - Can not speak highly enough of my experience with Younes and the team. As a solo traveller I was nervous to book a private tour for such a long trip to Chigaga, but from day one I was made so comfortable by my driver Abdel, a local Berber with expansive knowledge of the whole route, and a very skilled driver in the sand. The hospitality at the hotel in Zagora was exceptional and the food was some of best I had in Morocco, including at the desert camp. I really recommend this company for a great value option for private tours. The fact that they have their own hotel and desert camp is a real bonus too as it's very personal and you get to meet everyone at the company.

Unforgettable experience, fantastic guide and organisation. - Caravane
Travelling through Morocco, we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to visit the Atlas Mountains and the desert (Erg Chigaga). We contacted Caravane du Grand Erg for advice and suggestions. Younis was incredibly helpful and prompt and clear with his replies. We decided on a 3-day private trip Marrakesh to Erg Chigaga. We are super glad we booked with Caravane du Grand Erg.
On the trip itself: Ibrahim picked us up. His enthusiasm is infectious. He introduced us to the region and culture. He is a fantastic driver, knowledgeable and was attentive to our needs. He introduced us to some great music. He is well and truly fab!
There are too many highlights to mention. However the part in the desert: just wow. We went in low season (Sept) and we were the only ones staying in the desert camp which made it special. I recommend star gazing!
Accommodation both nights were good.
All in all, we are incredibly happy with our experience and would 100% recommend Caravane du Grand Erg and Ibrahim as the person by your side when you take the trip.

Wow....wow... - What an amazing experience from start in Marrakesh to the rolling sand dunes of Erg Chigaga with Youness and our guides.
We were a family group of 10 adults so we knew it could be a logistical nightmare but Youness did everything to make us comfortable.
We went in July during Eid el Kabir..we knew it would be hot and our guides did everything to help us keep cool. The roads were empty which made the journey easier, we stopped along the way to give trest to the children for Eid, their happy faces receiving sweets and gifts from strangers and we were offered tea and hospitality from their parents which was special.
Youness and his team gave lots of information about the trip and kept us entertained
with music and singing throughout the journey.
Our first night was in Zagora in an Auberge. The facilities were authentic and the hospitality was excellent. We had wonderful food during the stay and it was my husbands 40th birthday which was made special with balloons, decorations and lots of singing. I csnt thank them enough for making it a special night.
The next day we left for the desert stopping to buy some head scarf for protection, it was an amazing ride through the desert until we reached camp. The facilities we great and very clean, all had en suite showers. Despite the 40 degree heat we felt okay, even with a small sand storm during the evening. The camel ride into the dunes were just magical, even with one naughty camel in the party wanting to have a day off....then we had an lovely evening meal of several different tagine and of course more singing and dancing.
I cannot state how wonderful everyone was at helping us make such great family memories.
I wish to thank Youness and everyone for everything they did, truly a once in a lifetime trip.

Amazing Journey into Desert - The staff were all incredible, and always went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The food and accommodations were all top notch. The desert was beautiful from the sand dunes to the stars at night.
We felt very special and cared for during our stay. We plan on telling everyone we know about this trip and the wonderful company that provided it.

Highlight of our Morocco trip. 3 days 2 nights tour with a crazy fun guide/driver - We had a brilliant 3 days with 4x4 in the end of October. From Marrakech – Ounila Valley - Ait ben Haddou - Ourzazate – Draa valley – Zagora – Tamgroute – Mhamid – Erg Chegaga Desert Dunes – Foum Zguid – Tazenakht – Marrakech.
The guide and driver Bokhari is one of the craziest guy i met, he is super fun, energetic, he brought us to lot of nice places along the route to Chegaga, you can stop anywhere to experience, not just take a photo. And we played traditional music + some random music in the car + culture exchange. My friend and I are vegetarian, the team arranged us vegetarian choices, yummy vegetable Tajin & couscous etc. The stay in the desert was unforgettable. We had drum music around the fireplace, and riding camel in sunrise in the early morning to see the desert. Definitely enjoyed the trip and I feel like we are going with friend to explore together. Thanks !! Shukran !

Average services for the trip but a wonderful country - In general a good opinion about this trip but few negative highlights:
- Trip was sold with a ‘’native English speaker’’ guide but the guy barely speaking English. We are fluent in French so no much issues but for the other passengers was more complicated.
- Sold as a private trip but we had to share the 4WD Toyota with another 2 persons. So we were 6 passengers in a car. Not very comfortable for us, car was very crowded.
- Guide was not a guide, just a driver and he did not explain anything we have seen.
- First night accommodation sold as 3-4 stars hotel but we stayed in a very ugly camping, lot of works around, no heating inside (December at 3 deg. C outside) and no hot water. I don't think is honest to sell this this as a 3-4 star hotel.
- Second night in a tent in desert- the highlight of this trip, New year night at a camping fire and sleep under a tent. A bit cold (close to 0 deg. C inside the tent ) and wake up frozen but hey, that's the spirit. Bonus, sunrise on a back of a camel... what a beautiful morning
