Highlights

Itinerary time: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Bayon Temple Group, Banteay Srei Temple & Banteay Samre)

Bayon Temple - Morning, visit Angkor Thom. The giant stone faces of Bayon are among the most iconic images of classic Khmer art and architecture. There are 37 standing towers, most featuring four carved faces oriented toward the cardinal points.

Baphuon Temple - Baphuon Temple is a three-tiered Temple Mountain built as the state temple of Udayadityavarman II, dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva.

Terrace of the Elephants - The Elephant Terrace is an impressive, two and a half meter tall, 300-meter long terrace wall adorned with carved elephants and garudas, spanning the heart of Angkor Thom.

Terrace of the Leper King - The Palace & Terrace of the Leper King is a double terrace wall with deeply carved nagas, demons, and other mythological beings. The terrace was named after the statue of the ‘Leper King’ that sits on top.

Preah Palilay - Preah Palilay is a picturesque sandstone and laterite tower in a cool, shaded forest setting. The eastern gopura displays some particularly nice Buddhist-themed carvings.

Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant in the Angkor area.

Banteay Srei - In the afternoon, head to Banteay Srei. The temple translates to ‘citadel of women,’ a modern appellation likely referring to the delicate beauty of the carvings. Banteay Srei displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art.

Banteay Samre - Banteay Samre is a large, flat temple displaying Angkor Wat-style architecture and artistry. There is a legend connecting the naming of this monument with a farmer who mistakenly killed the king and then ascended the throne.

Pre Rup - Optional: Sunset at Pre Rup Temple. It is an architecturally and artistically superior temple-mountain with beautifully carved false doors on the upper level and an excellent view of the surrounding countryside.

Itinerary time: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Angkor (Wat, Ta Prohm, Tanei Temple & Rolous Group Temple)

Angkor Wat - Morning, visit Angkor Wat. Cambodia’s ancient temple city is one of the wonders of the oriental world. Masterpieces of decorative details and architectural style, its awe-inspiring ruins are a testament to the spectacular achievements of Southeast Asia’s greatest civilization. It is a replica of the universe according to Hindu mythology, composed of Mount Meru, surrounded by the continents and the oceans. Its extraordinary bas-reliefs describe some Khmer epics and myths. Angkor Wat’s five famous towers rise into the sky, a geometrical arrangement of numerous galleries adorned with bas-reliefs and stone images of celestial Apsara dancers, as well as portals, chambers, and courtyards. Then, continue to Ta Prohm Temple.

Ta Prohm - Ta Prohm is a quiet, sprawling monastic complex only partially cleared of jungle overgrowth, offering some of the best “tree-in-temple” photo opportunities at Angkor Complex.

Ta Nei Temple - Ta Nei is a jungle temple reminiscent of Ta Som, displaying classic Jayavarman VII artistry. Some of the Apsara and lintel carvings can be seen there.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near the Angkor area or return to the hotel for lunch.

Bakong - In the afternoon, visit Bakong Temple. It is the most impressive member of the Roluos Group, sitting at the center of the first Angkorian capital. Lolei, ruins of an island-temple built in the middle of a now dry Baray, Indratataka, the first large-scale Baray constructed by a Khmer king.

Preah Ko - Preah Ko (Sacred Bull) is one of the first major temples of the empire, located at the early Khmer capital of Hariharalaya.

Lolei - Lolei consists of ruins of an island-temple built in the middle of a now dry Baray, Indratataka, the first large-scale Baray constructed by a Khmer king.

Psar Chaa - Old Market - After finishing the Roluos Group, continue to the Old Market. The old market is the most visited, offering the deepest selection of souvenirs and curios of any traditional market. There are souvenir vendors offering silks, silverworks, carvings, statuary, art, and handcrafts. Artisan d’Angkor is a training ground for unschooled rural youth between 18 and 25 years of age, teaching them skills that allow them to make a living from handicraft production.

Itinerary time: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Koh Ker Temple & Beng Mealea Temple)

Koh Ker Temple - Morning, head to Koh Ker Temple, 113 km from Siem Reap. It was constructed during a period of internecine strife within the Angkorian Kingdom and became the temporary capital of King Jayavarman IV. Then, enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant near Koh Ker Temple.

After lunch, travel through villages on the outskirts of Siem Reap to the mysterious Beng Mealea Temple.

Beng Mealea - In the afternoon, visit Beng Mealea. It is a Hindu temple located about 60 kilometers from Siem Reap town. The jungle covers over a 1-square kilometer area of the temple, which was built around the end of the 11th century before Angkor Wat. There is no inscription, and details are unknown. With very little restoration, you can walk through mysterious archaeological sites with a sense of adventure. There may be no great sculpture, but it’s a great way to immerse yourself in beautiful archaeological sites.

Pre Rup - Optional: Sunset at Pre Rup Temple. It is an architecturally and artistically superior temple-mountain with beautifully carved false doors on the upper level and an excellent view of the surrounding countryside.

Unforgetable 3-Day Tour, the Historical of Khmer in Siem Reap, Cambodia - Our guide Mr. Veasna was amazing. We are so happy we chose the private tour option, it was just my husband and me and we had the best time. Mr. Veasna and his driver picked us up exactly at the agreed time, Veasna showed us around beautiful temples and went above and beyond to make sure we got great pictures. He always made sure we knew the history behind each place we visited (which is way better than just randomly walking around). We always had water and cold towels available from the driver and he made sure we got enough bathroom breaks at very decent places. If you are considering the private tour option I highly recommend it. We usually do group ones but having a private one here is really worth it. And, if you get a chance, I highly recommend you request Mr. Veasna as your tour guide.

Excellent guide, with excellent tour progrm. - I decided to use this company after hearing from other travelers how well they were looked after. I was not disappointed. I wanted a mix of visiting the important temples and looking at the countryside around. Visited magnificent Angkor Wat and other temples (which have all been reviewed many times) and yes they are impressive and all different. As a change from visiting temples saw the big local market in town - very interesting to see all of the local produce and went for a boat ride through the floating forest at Kampong Phlouk. Worthwhile as you get to see the local village which survives on fishing. The silk farm is a must a as they use hand looms not machinery, very nice products for sale in the shop onsite. My guide, Sophia, speaks excellent English and was able to fill me in on all of the history around the temples. Using a comfortable 4wd air-conditioned vehicle made travelling easy. Highly recommended.

Best private tour in Siem Reap. - Booked through Expedia and completed this tour on March 2022. We are a group of 6 persons. We had an incredible day in Siem Reap, starting with on time pick up at our hotel at 8am. Mr. Vandy the driver and Mr. Vutha as our tour guide. Communication was perfect, we chatted through WhatApp with the Tour Company to make sure we got picked up in the right hotel location. The Tour Company let us know exactly the name of the driver and the tour guide, so I could easily identified them when they arrived at our hotel. Mr. Vutha showed us the temples with his amazing knowledge to explain some important and interesting details of the temples. He took many photographs for us with his amazing skills and we had some of the best angles of pictures taken by Mr. Vutha. He was patient to guide us through the temples; he let us know the budgeted time so we could complete all of the tour in 3 days. We were not felt rushed. We felt that it is worth to pay more for the tour with a guide in a cool AC vehicle to appreciate more of the temples and enjoyed the trip. If we visited on our own, I do not think we could have accomplished much like what we were shown in by the tour guide. Mr. Vutha took care of us when my parents needed to go back early to the vehicle and when they were not in the van, he checked the other side of the entrance for us. Mr. Vandy helped my mom got into the van often since it was difficult for her to climb the van. We were all happy with the trip to Siem Reap and would recommend anyone taking the tour with this company.

Excellent Three-Day Tour. - We recently did a three day tour of the various temples around Siem Reap with Hidden Angkor Tour. Our guide was Mr. Veasna and our driver was Vandy. Veasna was a very knowledgeable and accommodating guide (we were able to customize the route and timing of our tour) with a strong passion for what he does. He provided the right balance of knowledge (without being overwhelming) and local insight. Often Bomey would approach a site from a different direction allowing us to avoid crowds or bottlenecks but still get to see everything from the best vantage point. In addition, as a novice photographer, I greatly appreciated him showing me the best spots for beautiful pictures. Lastly, the car was clean, comfortable and always ready with a cold bottle of water. I highly recommend using Veasna and his team.

Great tour with amazing service. - We booked the 3 days tour with Hidden Angkor Tour and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Right from the time I sent them a mail inquiring about their tour; Thavin was quick to reply to all our questions and very helpful. We had Veasna as our guide for all three days and he made our experience very enjoyable. He is a cheerful person and knows his stuff very well and explained to us all the temples nicely. He also showed us the right spots from where to take great pictures and helped us take our pictures at each of the spot. On the last day when we finished our itinerary early; he offered to take us to more place not in the itinerary without extra cost and did that for us. The cars provided were clean and comfortable with plenty of cold water and cold towels to beat the heat. Drivers were also very friendly and willing to help. Overall we really liked the service provided Veasna and Thavin from Hidden Angkor Tour, and they made our trip to Angkor a nice experience. Great Job and Thank You

Excellent tour guide and driver. - We are a family of four! Our children are 6 & 9 year Old. We recently traveled to Siem Reap and we had the great luck to have Mr. Sophea from Hidden Angkor Tour as our guide for 3 days! He is incredibly knowledgable and very professional! He answer all my questions without any hesitation about every temple we went. He was very patient with us as traveling to these places with young children is a bit challenging 😊 The driver Vandy drove us to the temples in a 4 wheel drive so I felt my children were very safe on the road! Vandy is a very good driver. Vandy and Sophea also were always on time! Even us not easy to wake up at 4.30am to do the sun rice at Angkor wat. If we go back to Siem Reap we definitely contact them again! We recommend them a lot!!!! Also Sophea is absolutely a great photographer! He took great pictures of all of us an he knows where to take the best pics at each temple!!!! There is always a plus you have a guide that can capture the magic and perfect moments with you family! Perfection tour. - When I decided to make a 3 days trip to Siem Reap by myself last month in the early December 2021, I contacted several tour agents looking for itineraries and Offer. Mr. Thavin the tour manager of Hidden Angkor Tour was very professional, clear, detailed and quick in his replies, even his prices were better than others, I booked him without any advance payment. For personal reason, I had to cancel my trip and Mr. Thavin did not make me feel guilty with his kindness. I contacted him again late of December to plan my trip in early Jan 2022 for 3 days tour. with Mr. Sophan the Driver and Mr. Veasna the Licensed Guide. The car was very clean and comfortable. Mr. Sophan was very kind, patient and helpful. Mr. Veasna with amazingly professional with his perfect English and long experience in his field. They made me have the best trip in my life and I highly recommend their services. Thank you everyone at Hidden Angkor Tour. Highly recommend!!!
