Highly recomended especially for Solo women travelers - Had a fantastic Varanasi Tour experience with Tour guide Abhishek. Driver Was kindly and save driving all the time. After Monsum time in Summer Ganges was high Level on Water. No boat ride. But never mind. City is Worth seeing at any time of the year. There is plenty of Things to Do. Aarti fire Show and Ghat burning will take place on upper terrace Level in case of high Water, no problem. Guide is flexible to Do the Things you will ask him to do. I stayed in varanasi only 48 hrs. Therefore it is the perfect Trip. I recomend you also check on You Tube before arrival to make clear your Favorite spots to Tell the guide to See. It is Not a good idea at all to Go on a Solo Trip through the City without an official Tour guide agency programm. Traffic is crazy, you would get loose your way on the Small arrow Lane galley. Not all Tuktuks Rikshas Driver on the street speak Hindu. I found the Tour was a bit to Western high pricy since it is in india. But for beeing guided save it was Worth every Cent. As the guide briefling informed me After tour never speak to strange people on the street. They will pretend to Show you sights for free catch you to sell you something. Could be fun at the first Moment but could case serios trouble if Not paying them afterwards. Be careful. For Not being able to go on boat my guide even came to Pick me the 1st day afternoon 2hrs earlier than arranged to Start the tour. We made plenty of Things. I decided Not to get up at 5 in the next morning since also need some sleep and Rest time for big tourism Trip. When Arriving in the City for beginning of Tour we directly walked to biggest Varanasi Temple Kashi Vishwnath Golden Tempel. It's sich a good feeling Vibe, Best way to enter the City. Guide knows how to bring you Quick in Tourist line to enter the temple. As you can read on the net, no chance to find the entrence without seroius guide.all hindy language. Temple was really impressive and big place with Mantra music outside and Best beautiful ganga view. Went to Further big places and Ghat for Aarti Evening Show. Blue Lassi is a really yummi Shop which you could ask to Go without any Belly worris. Red durga Temple and other Temple Programm the buildings were really impressive. Just wish to have even more time and bit more explainings. Make Sure to bring much really Small exchange money for Temple Rituals donation and Toilet Like 10 rupies since there often will be no change. Toilet for women is easy to find every where. Other good street food/Drink is sugar cane and coconut, really yummi. Bedzzz Hotel Downtown is really good place. Can reach the golden Temple, Ghats and old town with in Minutes. Also good access by car to reach Airport. Would Not stay at the old town Small street hotels or Brijrama Hotel since there is no car acces for the Driver to Pick you with the lagguage. Other hotels Like Hilton radisson might be good But to dar outside from the Cities Main attractions, will cost you Time. Guide also helped me to buy the stuff I needed for Further travel. Thank you for that and for All amazing Photos. BHU University town is really impressive, much Green and Temple and all univerity faculties to study. Also went to the silk town in the City. Really musst See how They fabric the silk and how the workers live. I bought silk afterwards. I love this colours staff, one of the Main reasons to love india. I already have much of that at home. But bought some more over there to respect the workers for their hard and great work und poor conditions. Driver was there on time for the airport Pick up. Guide took also care to be back in time with the Driver depending on flight times. Same would be if you would Like to come on train. I Just missed free Water at the car. Varanasi is a really nice underrated place, could be even more instagram people on there since there is plenty of Things to See and Do and make Photo of. Will come back when the cable car in the City is finish built and in Winter when is travelers Best weather. Have fun and enjoy this wondeful experience.
