Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Tizi M’zik – Tamsoult Waterfalls – Tizi Oussem
After enjoying breakfast in Marrakech, the journey begins with a 1.5-hour drive to Imlil, passing through Tahnout, Moulay Brahim, and Asni. Upon arrival, the guide and mule team will be ready to assist. Once the gear is loaded, the trek commences with an ascent to Tizi Mzik (2500m), offering breathtaking views of the Imlil and Azzaden valleys. Lunch will be served under the shade of juniper trees, with stunning vistas of the Atlas Mountains. Post-lunch, the descent leads to the region’s highest waterfalls. The path is then retraced to the road over Tizi Mzik, through juniper forests, until reaching the village of Tizi Oussem (1850m). Here, a photo opportunity awaits to capture the unique Berber landscape and traditions. The day’s trek involves 7 hours of walking, with an overnight stay at a Berber guest house.

Day 2: Tizi Oussem – Id Issa – Tizi Oudid – Mattat – Marrakech
The trek continues from Tizi Oussem, descending along the valley to the village of Id Aissa (1800m). The route then heads eastward over the Tizi Oudid pass (2010m), providing ample time to admire the views of the Imlil and Azzaden Valleys, as well as the Berber villages nestled into the mountainsides. The journey proceeds for another hour, passing through Mattat Village, before reaching a spot near the river at Agersioual Village (1600m) for a relaxing lunch under walnut trees. In the afternoon, transportation will be arranged to return to Marrakech. Today’s trek involves 5 hours of walking.

Travel from Marrakech through many little hamlets and Berber villages to the magnificent Western High Atlas Mountains. Trek past the villages of imlil and Mzik. Visit a village in the Assif N’ait Mizane, overlooking ancient irrigated terraced fields of fruits trees and vegetables. Get over Tizi M’zik mountain (2479m). And descent through juniper trees.
