Fes – Medilt - Azrou - Ziz Valley – Merzouga (Camel Ride & Night In Desert)
Morocco - Driving on the road from Fes, passing the Middle Atlas mountains and through the cedar forests well known all over the world. Cedar was already used from the Phoenician times and Roman time for woodcraft, essences and Building even ancient Marine boats. We pass through Ifran, Moroccan Swiss style of town andAzrou, typical Zayan Middle Atlas Berber village. We will cross than the valley of Ziz and Ziz gorges on the way to the Oriental Sahara Town of Erfou. From Erfoud wewe will take a rock desert trail to Merzouga. Camel riding at sunset and stay over in Berber tent in the heart of the dunes. Dinner and night will be in the luxury camp
MERZOUGA - RISSANI- TODRA GORGES - DADES VALLEY.
Morocco - If we wake up early enough, we can watch the spectacle of sunrise, when the colour of the dunes combine with the play of shadows to make an awesome sight. After breakfast we ride the camels for a couple of hours (or less; it is up to you) before leaving for Tinghir and Todra Gorges for lunch. The road passes through Tinejdad and the Todra Valley. This stunning area affords plenty of opportunities to walk, such as along the river through the gardens or up the road on the other side of the gorge. Later, we will continue to the Dades Valley and the Dades Gorges before spending the night in a hotel.
DADES - AIT BEN HADDOU - OUARZAZATE - TICHKA PASS - MARRAKECH
Morocco - We will drive in the direction of Ourzazate where we will visit the UNESCO protected Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. We will have lunch here and then visit the Atlas Film Studios.. Then we will drive accross the Atlas mountain via the Tizi ‘n Tichka pass, stopping for photos along the way and finally arrive in Marrakech. We will drive you to your riad in Marrakech.

He passed on much of his knowledge about the Arab and Berber culture of the Moroccan people throughout the trip.

2 day Trip to the desert - We booked a trip from Fes to the desert in Merzouga on a small bus.
Our trip was accompanied by a great tour guide named Mustafa Mansouri. Mustafa is a cheerful guy who made sure that we had a very pleasant trip. We stopped on the way at some kasbah's and oases and enjoyed a very nice lunch at a restaurant for locals.
Arriving at the location, Camels and their guides were already waiting for us to take us into the desert for enjoying the sunset.
Afterwards we slept in a camp with comfortable tents. A very nice set up of tents, almost a very hip festival location. In the night diner was served in a big tent and after that a traditional music session next to a big campfire.
Every tent had its own bathroom. Very luxury.
We enjoyed it.

Very Memorable and Beautiful! - This tour was amazing and very memorable. Be aware that the drive to the Sahara desert is long from Fes but the journey is worth it. The desert is stunning and like nothing I’ve seen before and the campsite is luxurious. The second and third days you travel across rural Morocco and see incredible scenery such as gorges and the Atlas Mountains. The second night we stayed in a places called dades in a beautiful riad hotel that had an exceptional view. Further to this the food on the trip was traditional and delicious, we got to try a lot of different dishes. To top it off our tour guide, Abdul, was very friendly and knowledgeable and made us very comfortable. Would definitely recommend if you want to see all the different and amazing landscapes throughout Morocco!

outstanding - The business responded really quickly and had outstanding communication. Yassine, our driver, is excellent; he drives steadily and safely. Although it was a long drive, he made sure we stopped for breaks approximately every few hours.

Fabulous travel! - 3days from Fes to Marrakesh, it's absolutely an unforgettable travel in Morocco. We highly recommend our driver Ismail, who was always very friendly and enthusiastic, explaining the historical background of the sites along the way and always giving us plenty of time to take photos at the right viewpoints.

Outstanding Roundtrip from Marrakech in December 2022 - We would highly recommend Discover Morocco tours based on our December 2022 trip. We worked with them to plan a customized round trip from Marrakech that hit Fes, Merzouga, and Ourrzazate. The key for us was flexibility and responsiveness. They were the most responsive to our requests to customize our trip, replying often within hours before we traveled about requested adjustments to our itinerary. Rachid, our planner, did an excellent job. During the trip, our car broke down on a mountain pass but we only waited a half hour while they arranged for us to go with another group to our next destination. The driver was waiting at our next stop the next morning. I was very impressed with this and our driver was always safe and careful on the road. I would absolutely use this operator again on a future trip to Morocco. Pricing was also reasonable compared with competitors.
Pro tip — be sure to ask your driver to plan a lunch at a roadside gas station. We had grilled lamb at one but I’m convinced no trip to Morocco would be complete without a gas station tagline!

The highlight of our holiday - We were a group of 7, including 4 teenagers aged 18, 17 & 16 travelling from Fes to Marrakesh. We loved the opportunity to see more of the diversity of Morocco than a city or beach stay could offer but the camel trek and overnight stay at the desert camp was easily the highlight of our holiday. We loved the magic of crossing the desert on the camels, the welcome at the desert camp,the drumming and dancing and the night under the stars. Rachid created an itinerary that offered us 3 days of sights and our wonderful driver Abdul kept us on track. We covered a lot of miles but loved every minute of it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trip.

Wonderful Trip and Extraordinary People - Without a doubt, the high point of our seventeen days long Moroccan odyssey in early June 2022 was the three-day Fez-to-Marrakesh road trip.
Booked online from USA through TripAdvisor, this trip was offered by the company Discover Morocco Tours and included: one night desert camping in Sahara, a second night accommodation in Dades Valley, entry fees and guides to world renown historic Ait Bin Haddou kasbah, plus drive through the picturesque Atlas Mountains, its breathtaking valleys and oasis.
Despite many good reviews online, there was a slight sense apprehension, until, on the first day of our journey, Mr. Rachid showed up at the doorsteps of the Riad we were staying in Fez. He politely introduced himself as our driver plus guide for this trip and we immediately felt a sense of relief. The full-sized SUV he brought was large and roomy with plenty of space for all of us plus luggage. The well-maintained, air-conditioned vehicle was also superbly clean, sanitized and comfortable. Throughout the journey Mr. Rachid was very accommodating to our needs, such as proactively stopping wherever we wanted to take pictures or spend time to enjoy the breathtaking views. We found him very friendly, remarkably knowledgeable, and often went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. As we travelled, he offered us great overviews of local cultures, the people, and their history--which greatly enriched us.
We will highly recommend Mr. Rachid to our friends, family members or anyone who wants to have a memorable Morocco trip. We wish all the very best for him. BTW, the Sahara camping and camel ride was an exquisite experience, and the traditional Riad where we spent the second night was very luxurious. Kudos to Discover Morocco Tours company for upholding such great quality and value.
