Qorikancha - Welcome to Peru! Your journey begins with a warm greeting in Cusco City. Your local expert guide will meet you at your hotel for a walking tour of this archaeological city, starting at the Santo Domingo convent monastery. This former colonial monastery was once the Qoricancha Temple, also known as the “Temple of the Sun” or the place where the gold shines. It was one of the most significant temples dedicated to sun worship. Chronicles say it was covered in gold leaf and filled with golden representations of nature.

Plaza de Armas - Enjoy this incredible space with your native tour guide. Cusco’s main square, Plaza De Armas, is a bustling and lively area that marks the colonial heart of the city. Walking through the main plaza with your guide, you’ll learn about the history of our ancestors. The plaza features wide stone pathways and well-maintained colorful gardens and is home to two iconic buildings: The Cusco Cathedral and the Church La Compañia De Jesus.

The best way to learn more about our people and traditions is by visiting our local market. The streets become noisy and crowded as you approach the San Pedro Market Cusco, a place where (almost!) everything can be bought. This market can keep you entertained for hours.

SACRED VALLEY TOUR & CHINCHERO

Complejo Arqueologico Chinchero - Enjoy this experience by taking a sweet selfie with baby alpacas and llamas. Your expert local guide and private vehicle will pick you up from your hotel and drive you first to Chinchero, guiding you through the fertile Sacred Valley, once the spiritual and commercial heartland of the Inca Empire. We will also visit the beautiful colonial church, unique for its artwork. Continuing, we will participate in a wonderful exposition of Andean weaving art. During the weaving, we will become familiar with the wisdom of Andean weavings, as they have been maintained long before Inka times.

Moray - Next, we will stop in Moray, where we will explore amazing Inca terraces for some light hiking in these spectacular landscapes. It has been proven to be an experimental center for understanding the various climates and temperatures of different crops or agricultural plants, perhaps even used for the domestication of different crops.

Salinas de Maras - After exploring Moray, we will descend to the salt mines of Maras, an important production center dating back to pre-Inca times. Here, over 3,000 salt pools are carved into the mountainside, filled daily by water seeping from the Earth, which we call the tears of Mother Earth!

Finally, we enjoy one of the best sunset experiences from the Andes of Chinchero.

FULL DAY MACHUPICCHU - PRIVATE EXPERIENCE.

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to the train station of Ollantaytambo. Then we board our train to Machupicchu town.

Once we arrive at the Machupicchu citadel, your private guide will take you on a comprehensive tour of the site, bringing it to life by detailing its history, significance, and myths, as well as taking you to hidden corners and the best viewpoints.

After we have fully enjoyed Machupicchu, we return to Aguas Calientes town to enjoy a delicious lunch.

Finally, we board our train back to Ollantaytambo, and then our private transfer will take us back to Cusco city.
