Highlights

MARRAKECH - TI’ZIN TICHKA - KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU - BOMAL DADAS

Tizi n Tichka - Traverse the vast Atlas Mountains and take in the stunning scenery at the summit of Tizi N ‘Tichka pass, the highest in North Africa.

Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - Embark on a day trip from Marrakech to explore the AIT BENHADDOU and TELOUET Kasbahs. Navigate the ATLAS MOUNTAINS and follow the ancient caravan routes to the Sahara Desert. Witness vibrant villages with mud-built houses, trading posts, local art, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites featured in Hollywood films. Cross the renowned Tizi-n-Tichka, observe Berber villages, and watch the landscape transform into a semi-arid desert as the Atlas mountains create a barrier against the Mediterranean climate of the north. Take a detour to the Telouet Kasbah, once owned by the Pacha of the Atlas, the Glaoui, and abandoned after the French armies left. Admire the tiled walls, fluted pillars, painted wooden ceilings, and colored glass windows of the reception rooms. This stop is optional; if the driver halts here, you can either hire a guide (not included in our price; typically 2.5€) or explore on your own.

El Kelaa M’gouna - Journey through the Roses Valley of EL KELAA M’GOUNA.

Dades Gorges - Known as the Dades Valley in many Morocco travel guides, the Dadès Gorges originate in the High Atlas range, flowing approximately 350 kilometers (220 miles) southwest before merging with the Draa River at the Sahara’s edge. This is where you will spend the night.

DADES TOWN - GORGES OF TODRA - MERZOUGA DESERT

Todgha Gorge - The Todgha Gorges are a series of limestone river canyons in the eastern High Atlas Mountains near the town of TINERHIR. Both the Todgha and neighboring Dades Rivers have carved these deep, cliff-sided canyons over their final 40 kilometers (25 miles) through the mountains. The canyon walls can reach heights of up to 400 meters (1,312 feet) in some areas.

Merzouga - Experience unforgettable moments riding a camel at sunset and sunrise in the Erg Chabbi desert at MARZOUGA DESERT.

Merzouga - Immerse yourself in the Berber nomadic lifestyle by spending a night under the stars in a local tent, savoring an authentic Sahrawi Tagine, and enjoying Berber songs and dancing around the fire.

MERZOUGA - AZROU - IFRANE - FES

Ifrane National Park - IFRANE IS A CITY KNOWN AS THE SWITZERLAND OF MOROCCO. Take a break to snap photos with monkeys.

Fes - Arrive in Fez, the cultural capital of Morocco, early in the evening. Drop off at your accommodation or the nearest accessible point. End of service in FES.

Enjoyable - Beautiful views, long journey but comfortable with many stops for photos and for food. There was some guides that asked for money when it wasn’t shown on the guide. But overall a great experience !

Lack of information and unpleasant situations - The excursion is complete, but they omit a lot of information when you book it, which from my point of view is important. As for the driver Ayyub, he was very nice and his work was perfect. In our case (apparently no one hired him like that) they assigned us to Mohamed, a guide for the entire trip. Most of us were Spanish-speaking and he didn't speak Spanish (and a little mediocre English), so the few who knew In English we had to translate everything to the others, so that they at least learned something. Furthermore, we would have liked to know that they make stops for you to rest, go to the bathroom, eat, etc., in the places where they earn commission, so in addition to eating for free and taking a good chunk of money , it costs you double or triple as much as if you go on your own. They tell you that you are free to go and eat wherever you want but when it comes down to it they are all over you trying to convince you to do what they say. Some fellow hikers wanted to buy some scarves from a Berber man, the guide insisted several times on going to the store he wanted, and when he couldn't get it he had the nerve to ask the man for a commission on the sale, so we experienced a difficult situation. little tense in which the Berber man got very angry (and rightly so) and the guide practically had to run out of there. We understand that it is his way of making a living, but you are already paying for a complete excursion, so that later he asks you for money to take a guided tour (which was not far from reading a bit of information from Wikipedia, and which We also had to translate), and they take a commission even on every bottle of water you buy. And finally, as there were several people unhappy with this whole situation, the last day the guide spent the entire day behind us so we could give him a review, which you had to do in front of him, so you didn't have enough freedom to comment openly either. your opinion, that makes me doubt all the rest of the good comments, since we know firsthand that they will be a little coerced. The experience as such is recommended but I also considered it essential to know all these things to better choose who to go with, or at least go knowing what is really happening.
