Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - Embark on a day trip from Marrakech to explore the AIT BENHADDOU and TELOUET Kasbahs. Navigate the ATLAS MOUNTAINS and follow the ancient caravan routes to the Sahara Desert. Witness vibrant villages with mud-built houses, trading posts, local art, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites featured in Hollywood films. Cross the renowned Tizi-n-Tichka, observe Berber villages, and watch the landscape transform into a semi-arid desert as the Atlas mountains create a barrier against the Mediterranean climate of the north. Take a detour to the Telouet Kasbah, once owned by the Pacha of the Atlas, the Glaoui, and abandoned after the French armies left. Admire the tiled walls, fluted pillars, painted wooden ceilings, and colored glass windows of the reception rooms. This stop is optional; if the driver halts here, you can either hire a guide (not included in our price; typically 2.5€) or explore on your own.
El Kelaa M’gouna - Journey through the Roses Valley of EL KELAA M’GOUNA.
Dades Gorges - Known as the Dades Valley in many Morocco travel guides, the Dadès Gorges originate in the High Atlas range, flowing approximately 350 kilometers (220 miles) southwest before merging with the Draa River at the Sahara’s edge. This is where you will spend the night.
DADES TOWN - GORGES OF TODRA - MERZOUGA DESERT
Todgha Gorge - The Todgha Gorges are a series of limestone river canyons in the eastern High Atlas Mountains near the town of TINERHIR. Both the Todgha and neighboring Dades Rivers have carved these deep, cliff-sided canyons over their final 40 kilometers (25 miles) through the mountains. The canyon walls can reach heights of up to 400 meters (1,312 feet) in some areas.
Merzouga - Experience unforgettable moments riding a camel at sunset and sunrise in the Erg Chabbi desert at MARZOUGA DESERT.
Merzouga - Immerse yourself in the Berber nomadic lifestyle by spending a night under the stars in a local tent, savoring an authentic Sahrawi Tagine, and enjoying Berber songs and dancing around the fire.
