Day 1: Cairo / Luxor Sleeper Train

Giza - A Sun Pyramids Tours representative will collect you from your Cairo hotel at 7:00 pm in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle and take you to the Cairo or Giza train station for your journey to Luxor. The trip takes approximately 9 hours and includes dinner and breakfast.

Day 2: Luxor Sightseeing Tours

Temple of Karnak - Upon arrival in Luxor, you will meet your personal Egyptologist tour guide who will take you to the renowned Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever constructed. Its ancient name, Ipet-isut, means “the most sacred of places.” This temple complex was built over more than two thousand years by successive generations of pharaohs. Within the complex, the great “Hypostyle Hall” is an awe-inspiring forest of giant pillars. You will enjoy lunch at a quality restaurant along the way.

Luxor Temple - Next, your guide will take you to the majestic Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals dedicated to the god Amun.

Colossi of Memnon - Then, visit the West Bank of the Nile River to see the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon). You will also visit the Valley of the Kings, where magnificent tombs were discovered. These tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated, and filled with treasures for the pharaohs’ afterlife. You will visit three tombs.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Continue the tour to the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary. This impressive temple, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh, rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it.

Luxor - Proceed to have lunch at a local restaurant, then you will be transferred to your hotel accommodation in Luxor.

Day 3: Luxor Sightseeing Tours/ Cairo

Dendera Temple Complex - A Sun Pyramids Tours representative will pick you up from your hotel to explore ancient sites. First, drive 80 KM to Dendera to visit the Temple of Hathor, the goddess of love and joy. The temple is located in Dendera, which is situated north of Luxor.

Temple of Medinat Habu - Then, move to the mortuary Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu, an important structure from the Kingdom period on the west bank of Luxor. Aside from its size, architecture, and artistic significance, the temple is best known for its inscribed reliefs depicting events during the reign of Ramesses III.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Afterward, return to the Luxor train station to board your Sleeper Train back to Cairo or Giza train station. The journey includes dinner and breakfast. Upon arrival in Cairo or Giza, you will be driven back to your hotel.
