Metekhi Cathedral - You will make a great journey into the history of Tbilisi - I will talk about it easily and fascinatingly. Relive the past will help key attractions.
Let’s start from the Metekhi Plateau: admiring the panorama of the Old City and Narikala Fortress, let’s talk about the origins of Tbilisi. You will learn about the first settlement that existed here before the arrival of Vakhtang Gorgasali, and about the affairs of this king.

Meidan Bazaar - Having gone down, we will go towards Meydan Square. In this ancient place you will present the lively shopping Tbilisi of the Great Silk Road and learn about the underground bazaar.

Abanotubani - After we go to the Sulfur baths, where there was still Marco Polo. I will reveal to you not only the legend of the falcon and the founding of Tbilisi, but also less well-known details: for example, why there are 15 left from 65 baths and why they have such names (from simple number 5 to the elegant Tsarskaya and Motley).
In the same area, you stroll along the Figyra Gorge to a real waterfall, and admire Tbilisi’s elegant balconies along the way - I’ll tell you why they served in different eras and why it was impossible to find two identical patterns.

Rike Park - We will not ignore the modern Tbilisi buildings: you will cross the Peace Bridge and learn about its beautiful symbolism, as well as what the locals think of a glass skyscraper and unusual pipes in Rike Park.

Sioni Cathedral Church - Places of faith
My route through Old Tbilisi will cover the main religious buildings of the capital. In the 13th century Metekhi church on the plateau of the same name, you will learn about the architecture and types of Georgian churches, as well as about the prison past of this place. In Sioni Cathedral we’ll talk about the main Georgian saint, Nino, because her cross is kept here; about the saved icon of the Virgin and why it is possible to step on burials here. In even deeper antiquity you will be immersed.

Anchiskhati Basilica - Anchiskhati church, where I will talk about the miraculous icon. A spiral staircase and narrow alleys will lead to an elegant juma mosque.

Bridge of Peace - The Bridge of Peace in Tbilisi is a pedestrian bridge and one of the most famous tourist spots in the city. It connects district of Tbilisi Old Town with Rike Park over a river of Mtkvari. This bridge is relatively young, it was opened for public just in 2010.

Kartlis Deda - From Narikala (or the top cable car station), you can take a scenic walk west along the Sololaki ridge. The main landmark is the statue of Mother Georgia. This 20m-tall aluminium symbol of Tbilisi holds a sword in one hand and a cup of wine in the other – a classic metaphor for the Georgian character, warmly welcoming guests and passionately fighting off enemies.

Jinvali Water Reservoir - Jinvali Water Reservoir, 40 km to the North from Tbilisi, Tbilisi Georgia
Zhinvali, also Jinvali, is an artificial water reservoir located on the river Aragvi in Georgia. The building of the hydroelectric dam formed the Zhinvali Reservoir. The dam has been built in 1986.

Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble - Ananuri fortress: a story in stone On the coast of Aragvi you will be met by the only fortress of Georgia that has reached us in its original form. Walking through the territory of the Ananuri defense complex, you will feel like a resident of the Middle Ages and learn about the glorious past of the Aragva eristavi (heads of the people). And we will definitely pay attention to the Assumption Church of the 17 th century, whose facade is decorated with interesting bas-reliefs, and each element of the decor carries a hidden meaning.

Kvemo Mleta - You will find the confluence of two rivers (White and Black Aragvi), breathtaking views at the Arch of Friendship and an unusual mineral spring resembling a golden river.

Gudauri - Friendship Arch. on the edge of the mountain near Gudauri. This is the highest point of the pass and the perfect place to submit to the mountains forever!

Gergeti Trinity Church - Gergeti Church and Ananuri Fortress

Signagi - Sighnaghi: little Italy and big lunch
The warm and hospitable nickname of Sighnaghi “the city of love” appeared by right: here you can get married at any time of the day and here the artist Niko Pirosmani strewn flowers for the beloved (the song “Million Scarlet Roses” about this story). You will walk along the streets in the Italian style, see the longest fortress wall in Europe and enjoy the panoramas of the Alazani Valley. After that, you will relax during lunch in a hospitable home restaurant where the owners will tell you about the traditions of the Kakheti feast and allow you to participate in the preparation of khinkali.

Telavi - The city of Telavi, where Mimino is known to live, is famous for its wines, Kakheti flavor and beautiful architecture, which is especially pleasant to admire after the restoration

Telavi -  In the present capital of Kakheti - Telavi - you will find yourself among the lush greenery of plane trees and mulberries. In the central part, I will introduce you to the Batonistsikhe fortress and show you the famous 900-year-old plane tree, near which several shots of Mimino were shot.

Mtskheta-Jvati-City Gori-Uplistsikhe: stories and panoramas

Jvari Church - St. Nino is a preacher who persuaded the Georgian king Mirian to convert the pagan country to Christianity. We will talk about the spiritual path of Sakartvelo in the ancient temple of Jvari - it proudly rises on a hill near Mtskheta. You will learn about its architectural features and admire the panorama that Lermontov immortalized in the poem “Mtsyri” - the merger of the “rivers-sisters” of Aragva and Kura.

Svetitskhoveli Cathedral - From here you will see the 11th century Svetitskhoveli temple, to which you will go next. To the shrine, we will walk along cozy streets past tents with traditional Georgian souvenirs. In the ancient walls of the temple you will hear legends about St. Sidonia and the Pillar of Life, read the ancient frescoes and you can touch the main shrines of Georgia.

You will learn about the trade of Uplistsikhe with the ancient states of Urartu and Media, about its heyday and decline. Here, marvelous panoramas of the Kura Valley will open.

Stalin Museum - In the second part of the trip, at the request of the group, you can visit the Stalin Museum in his hometown of Gori (this is not far from Uplistsikhe). In the halls of the entire museum pantheon you will see the preserved sculpture of Stalin, his personal belongings and furniture - a guided tour will be given by the museum guide.
