Amazing jam-packed cruise! - I strongly recommend that people choose this tour! If you want to see a LOT of Egypt's sites in the South, and don't mind waking up early, then this is the cruise for you! our tour guide, Rocky, was awesome, really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The boat itself was bigger than expected but very well organised, clean and well presented. There were lots of food options for every meal. This isn't the type of cruise where you relax a lot, as the agenda is very full but for me it was perfect. We did still get some time to enjoy the deck of the boat. The details of the cruise are accurate, just make sure you read them carefully (some things are prepaid, but tips are all extra and entry to the sites are extra too). The Abu simbel trip is a really early start and a long bus journey, because of the dam location it has to be by road, but it is worth it, it was a dream come true to see it. So, bring your energy and enjoy this wonderful cruise. Thank you :)

Excellent and Highly Recommended Nile Cruise - This is a really fantastic cruise and tour. Well organised and with lot's packed into the agenda, my wife and I had a great time. The cruise ship is comfortable and the views across the river from our room were stunning. Heba at Egypt Gift Tours was super helpful and communicated with us over WhatsApp as soon as we booked online, walking us through the options for the cruise and helping us decide which package was right for us. Once we arrived, Eslam, our guide, was very knowledgable and made the trip a true delight. This cruise will certainly keep you on your toes with some early starts to see all the locations on the agenda, but it is worth doing and overall this is a great way to see the key historic sights along the Nile that Egypt is famous for. Highly recommended!

Great but packed trip - Cruising up the Nile is a must do, and there are many companies. I'm not certain the difference in each of them, so my review will be partly on the experience in general. However, when I was booking, many other companies (at least 5) said they had departure options available and only after I booked they came back and said oh no, we don't have that - you have to leave a different day, you have to pay more, etc. So this was the only company which did not change the availability and price on me after booking. The challenge was the cruise ship is split into groups, and each group doesn't do the same thing - so depending on which group you are is what you'll do, not only the boat. Also not everyone in our group had the same thing - so it was just a bit annoying. Would have been a better experience if everyone had the same options and information. Also they provided the itinerary- but like most things in Egypt then it kind of changed around a bit. We did everything it said in the end, but not necessarily when they said. It also wasn't super clear when things would happen and how. For example, I didn't realize (maybe if I had more time to look into it - plus seems the same for all) the first night we didn't actually go anywhere on the boat, so that night of "cruising" wasn't really part of the cruise, so it included a 4am trip to Abu Simbel, I wanted, but had I known, I maybe would have done that separately, as being on the cruise didn't make that part easier and it was optional. Other than those small logistical snafus, the cruise and people were very pleasant. The sites were amazing. It is a busy schedule though. Only one day we had to sit on the boat and cruise for a few hours. To note - shopping on the boat seemed better prices than from the markets and from the smaller boats who come along and throw stuff up at you. Was a great experience.

Complete Rip Off - In summary, the trip is and a complete rip off. 1. Shi-tty Rooms The rooms we got look nothing like in the pictures. Worse, the bed is bended in the middle, the pipe in the bathroom is broken, and the duvet simply is dirty. I highly suspect that the operator has put us on a lower rank cruise and did not notify us in any way. I find this tour operator dishonest. Once you are in Egypt, you will note how low the prices are here. A large bottle of water is EGP15. We paid more than US$2,500 (for 4 persons) for the 4-day tour, which, according to the price level in Egypt, is a complete rip off. The tour operator also offered a tour to the Nubian village for US$40/per person. We did not go as the price simply does not make sense. Instead, we rented a boat and paid a local kid to take us around in the Nubian village for a total sum of EGY500 (for 4 people). 2. Asking for tips all the time Since the moment we joined the tour, the tour guide has been non-stop asking us to pay tips here and there. He gaslighted us the whole trip, saying stuff like you cannot buy anything with EGP100 nowadays, EGP100 is practically nothing... he has put his daughters in international school and the tuition is very expensive blah blah blah. Frankly, whether we tip or not should be entirely up to us. If the service is outstanding, I will be very happy to tip. But we felt that we were forced to tip. Also, I do not see why we, the tourists, should foot his daughter's tuition bills. If you cannot afford it, then don't put the kids in international schools - that is my advice! 3. Rushed tours When I booked the tour, what I have in mind is what plays in "Death on Nile" --- the cruise slowly approaching the temples and you are breath-taken by the view. No.. that is simply not what was. There are usually at least 4 - 5 cruise ships docking at the pier at the same time. And just imagine, 400 people going into the temple at the same time and you are only given 30 minutes to tour around the temple (which by the way is packed with people)! The tour is so bad, we eventually decided to drop out one day earlier and did our own tours in Luxor for 2 and half days. And guess what, we had a great time! We took our own pace and could sit down and relax at the cafeterias. We managed to go around with taxis for EGP500 per day! With the rest of the money, we stayed at Sofitel Winter Palace, which is so comfortable and beyond luxurious. In conclusion, I would not recommend taking this tour at all. But if you, having read this review, are still interested in taking a river cruise on Nile (to be fair Nile is beautiful), just take the shortest one. Also make sure that you have the name of the cruise when booking. A lot of people feel unsafe going around in Egypt. That is not the case. You just have to be firm on the price you will pay and be firm about what you want. Hope this review will help you make an informed decision.
