Memorable Experience - We had a very memorable experience on the Nile Cruise. Our guide Ahmed Salaama was very punctual from the time he picked us up at our hotel till drop off at the end of the trip. He was very knowledgeable, eloquent and provided good humour throughout the trip. We are very glad we got him as a guide on this trip as some of the other guides we had prior to the cruise weren’t as good. We found booking the experience with Egypt Unlimited easy and the package is tailored perfectly to manage all the highlights needed between Aswan and Luxor. I would definitely recommend booking the optional Abu Simbel. The site is extraordinary and could very well be our favourite.

Amazing Tour! - The tour was fantastic. Everything on the itinerary was covered in great detail and we really enjoyed our time. Our tour guide, Amr looked after us for the entire trip and he was one of the best tour guides that we have ever had! His knowledge of Egyptian history was incredible and we learned so much. His English was also great and there was no issue at all with communication. Amr also made sure we were safe and comfortable during the trip. I would absolutely recommend Amr to any other tourists visiting Egypt.

Egypt's greatest hits without the hassle! - This is an excellent tour for anyone wanting to see all the main sights of ancient Egypt within a short time frame. We booked a private tour and our guide Sayed was brilliant - he clearly had a deep knowledge of Egyptology and seemed to know all the hidden tips n tricks at each of the tomb sights. We also really appreciated that he tailored the tour to our style - allowing us time to walk the sites by ourselves and at our own pace after first providing a thorough overview. There was also zero pressure to buy anything during one of the shop stops. Given there is very little information provided at most of the main sites beyond the occasional billboard - having someone like Sayed is essential.

Egypt made easy! - We had an amazing experience exploring Egypt with Sayed as our guide! He is really considerate and enthusiastic about Egyptian history with a wide breadth of knowledge. As a non- English native speaker, it would have been impossible for me to fully understand the different sites without him there.

Pleasant cruise on the Nile - We wanted to go up the Nile from Aswan to Luxor thanks to a cruise. So we went through Egypt Unlimited Tours. Everything was perfectly organized, from our care to our arrival in Luxor. We had the chance to meet Ragab Salama an Egyptian Francophone Guide of exceptional kindness and kindness, and with an exceptional level of knowledge about Egypt and the period of the Pharaohs that he shared with us. He knew how to make every visit captivating. We have learned so much in so little time.... One of the best guides in Egypt. We encountered a small problem in our room and Ragab settled everything in a few minutes. We recommend this cruise. The staff is kind, the buffets are good and quite varied. The rooms are nice and spacious, even if you feel that the boat is not very young. Only small disappointment: we finally sailed only one afternoon and one night, that is about 1 day and a half. The rest of the time the boat is docked.

Our guide the truth improveable, I didn't want to much and made it very obvious and was correct.

Horrible. Lie and scam. Only the Award is 5 stars. - Awarded this excursion with Private Guide given the good reviews but we regret. what a hell. If you still choose to go to this country and book in advance with this tour. Insist on not having the Al HAMBRA boat and the Rejuvenated Guide. Otherwise you'd regret it. Remember that they are very good at lying. Good luck! CONCLUSION: Horrible trip, I do not recommend at all! Upon arrival, our Pension in Cairo and Aswan, they offered us the same cruise excursion for 250 dollars (List Award) so the real Award if you go to see an agency directly on site would be 150 or 200 dollars. A lot of lies, scams and begging in Egypt!! They will force you to tip them for poor or even bad service. At no time did I have the Impression of getting what I paid for or being in a 5-star boat. The first day we made comments to make things better and then we understood and gave up. We were just waiting for this "cruise" to end. Really everything was a lie, begging and scam.( Agency/boat/employees/locals) What a horrible experience! I recommend neither the country nor the agency. AGENCY: property owner was friendly and even took us back from Aswan Airport to our Pension a day before for free (it started well). He was asked via WhatsApp and he agreed. But the Award is extremely expensive compared to the actual Award and the quality of the service offered... you have to know that all boats in Egypt sound 5 stars..... 5 Egyptian stars is not even worth a French star... the only thing 5 stars is the Award! CRUISE: Boat AL HAMBRA what a horror and what a scam! For 4 days cruising, it is only two days in truth. The first and last day the boat is docked.. We go back to the rooms the towels were grey (they were probably white 10 years ago). No wifi because down. No elevator because it broke down. Anything they want from tips and they will force to get them. Looks of a heaviness.... The windows in our room wouldn't close. Beggars will come in canoes screaming down your window for you to give them money in the middle of the Nile. You want soap, shampoo, toilet paper you have to ask them every time and give them tips, tips. Drainage of the blocked sink Swimming pool: green standing water that reaches the knees. No filtration system BUFFET: the starters were not good. Resistance dishes always taste the same. Desserts were bad. No fruit, no yogurt,... No drinks are included. (no water, no juice, no coffee , no tea , nothing ) And of course, on the boat the Awards are three times more expensive if you are thirsty. Juices are industrial juices taste chemical. It doesn’t look like a 5-star buffet at all, but like a regular buffet from a lambda Pension in Europe. If a product is finished, it does not replace it. It is necessary to make the remark to them so that it is replaced... Guide: we took a Private Guide because we really wanted the top.... We had Rajeb. He speaks French and Arabic. For each temple we were given the same explanations: dimensions, number of beams and who builds it. That is all. at no time does he tell us what is written on the walls or tell us historical anecdotes. We could see the other guides, a laser in hand exploding hieroglyphics on the walls and ours unable to tell us about them. The colossus of Memnon, he explained to us from the car. Surely he did not want to go down. There's no point in taking a Private Guide because half the temples they can't go home with you. Yeah, you read that right. Your Guide will stay outside, for Abu Simbel, the tombs of the Valley of Kings and so on. THE TEMPLES: personal review: the only temples of interest were those of edfu and karnak. Abu simbel is expensive and not worth it. Neither do the rest of the temples and tombs. Toilets are charged, even if you have already paid admission. SECURITY: no security in Egypt. Every 10 meters from army checkpoints. At the entrance of the boat there is a man armed with a kalashnikov and policemen in civilian clothes traveling with you. I advise you not to leave your boat or Guide to walk alone. ORGANIZATION: all boats / buses / cars arrive at the same time and leave at the same time. So there's really no point in taking a Private Guide. TIPS: you almost have to tip them (a large sum) even though the service is poor or bad. (Driver, employee of the boat, guardian of the tombs, ...) any Egyptian actually. Set aside an additional $200 in tips/rackets. At the end of the trip you will just have a bitter taste of being ripped off. this is the kind of country you should avoid.
