Highlights

Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Zagora

Tizi n Tichka - Your adventure to the desert begins from your stay in Marrakech.

We will drive through the Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tichka Pass.

The views along the way are quite spectacular. We will make 2 or 3 stops for scenic views and photography.

Ouarzazate - Arrive in Ouarzazate for lunch before crossing the Draa River to continue to Zagora, which has given rise to a vast oasis stretching for 200 km at the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains.

Zagora - Enjoy dinner and spend the night at a hotel in Zagora.

Zagora – Mhamid – Erg Chigaga

Zagora - After breakfast, we will start our journey to Mhamid El Ghazlan.

Tamgrout - We will have the opportunity to visit one of the oldest Quranic libraries in Morocco, located in a nearby kasbah known for its pottery factory.

M’Hamid - We will have lunch in M’Hamid, the last village at the edge of the largest desert in the world, located on the African continent.

Erg Chigaga - After lunch, we will depart for Erg Chigaga in the afternoon, passing through various desert landscapes including ‘Erg’, ‘Reg’, ‘Hammadas’, and oases. In the remote sand dunes of Erg Chigaga, there is only silence, far from civilization.

Riding a camel in the Sahara Desert will allow you to witness dramatic sunsets over the color-changing dunes. After dining under the stars next to a campfire, local nomads will entertain you with their traditional music. Overnight at your Sahara desert camp.

Great and unique experience on real Sahara Erg Chigaga. - If you can afford it, take the 4-day lux trip and enjoy the real Sahara at Erg Chigaga. The other 3 day tours is pretty much “you expending 90% on the road” with a bunch of others and going to the tourist traps at every stop the driver will decide to take you. Erg Chebbi is the largest dunes in Morocco, there you will hear the true silence and walking on the soft sand and espectacular views is a unique experience. Our driver Hamid was very attentive to our experience and needs all the time. He is very knowledgeable and he grew up on Sahara and knows lot of the culture and can make your tour a learning experience. If I would do it again I would go with same company. Hotel reservations and arrangements were done as planned, I felt Hamid was a personal concierge helping in any needs we had. Thanks for the great experience !!!

Real life begins in the Sahara - The trip to Morocco with the driver-guide Hamid was an extraordinary experience that will certainly remain in my memory forever!♥️ You will know that Hamid is an excellent driver after the first kilometers, and with each kilometer you will appreciate his help, kindness and big heart. He will take care of every detail, from water supply to fruit snacks to turning on the air conditioning, risking his own health in the process. Morocco is beautiful, full of changing landscapes, colors and delicious food, but my heart was stolen by the Sahara.🏜️♥️ I was afraid of the desert, but it captivated me. Wild, exotic, hot and dangerous. But Hamid was with us, and he knows and understands the Sahara perfectly. We were safe with him. Hamid, thank you very much! 🙏 I will definitely return to this fascinating country. To kind, warm people who after a few days are friends. Yes!, it's hard to believe, so you have to experience it. They will always help and tell you about the history and customs of the region. Thanks to this, I not only admired the beauty of the places we visited, but also understood deeper contexts and meanings. If you are planning a trip to Morocco, I definitely recommend it! You will be delighted, and Hamid will make your stay in this country unforgettable. I would highly recommend. Listen to him carefully and you will see real life.

Great Sahara trip with experienced guide - We had a very great trip with Ahmed! He showed us beautiful locations on our way to Sahara and knows a lot. He is fluent in English and French. We were very happy to have booked his private tour with 4x4 and private accommodation. It is really worth the money so we can recommend to everyone. We would like to go back to see more of Morocco and would book a tour with Ahmed again!

One of a kind experience! - This was an incredible adventure made all the more possible by our incredible tour guide, Hamid. Friendly, experienced, and accommodating, he perfectly understood what sort of experiences we were after and catered to them as soon as we set off - I'm a keen photographer and he made sure to stop at various photo stops along the way, as well as some off-the-beaten-track locations and local artesian towns that were the real deal. His local knowledge made all the difference too, making the fact that while yes, there was a decent amount of driving, it didn't feel long at all thanks to Hamid :) As for the tour itself, it was brilliantly spaced out and the journey was great. The desert was a real highlight, and we were lucky to have the camp to ourselves and were able to spend some genuine downtime away from all distractions in complete peace. It was also a stunningly beautiful location, and waking up to see the sun rise is something I'd definitely recommend. All in all, an amazing journey and an incredible recommendation for our driver Hamid!
