Athens - Departure from Athens

Delphi Archaeological Museum - The oracle of Delphi was dedicated to God Apollo and Pythia, the High-Priestess, was the medium to deliver to the interested people the prophecy. Delphi, as it was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, gathers a large number of Greek and foreign visitors all year long.
Visit to the Treasure of the Athenians, the sanctuary of Apollo, the amphitheater, the stadium. The Archaeological Museum of Delphi, one of the most important in Greece, exhibits the history of the Delphic sanctuary, site of the most famous ancient Greek oracle. Its rich collections are comprised primarily of architectural sculpture, statues and minor objects donated to the sanctuary. These reflect its religious, political and artistic activities from its early years in the eight century BC to its decline in late Antiquity.

Lamia - As we drive we will pass near Lamia city.

Kalambaka - Arrival in the afternoon in Kalambaka town about 19:00, where we will overnight in our hotel. Free time

Meteora -Ancient Olympia

Meteora - Meteora offers the unique experience of nature’s grandeur in conjunction with history, architecture and man’s everlasting desire to connect with the Divine. From the early Christian times, the Meteora vertical cliffs were regarded as the perfect place to achieve absolute isolation, to discover peace and harmony and, thus, to support man’s eternal struggle for spiritual elevation. Meteora is a truly inspiring and sensational setting of overwhelming rock formations, but one must also be prepared to expect that this trip is much more than merely visiting an exquisite landscape.
At 09.00am we will leave hotel and drive up to the rocks where today there are 6 monasteries. With our local guide visit in 2 of them and we will see the other monasteries as we drive in the area of Meteora.

Metsovo - Aften 1 hour drive from Meteora arrival in Meteora town. Metsovo located In Pindos mountains in an altidute of 1000 m. above see level. Free time in the traditional town.

Ioannina - Drive on the highway and pass near Ioannina city

Rion-Antirion Bridge - Passing from Central Greece to Peleoponese driving over bridge Charilaos Trikoupis

Olympia - In the afternoon around 18:00 arrival in Olympia. Free time and overnight in a hotel

Ancient Olympia - Mycenae - Nafplion

Archaeological Site of Olympia - Visit with our local guide to the archaeological site of ancient Olympia which is located in a landscape that enchants with its beauty and tranquility, in the green valley between Alfeios and Kladeos river. Here were born the most important games of ancient Greece, the Olympics, which took place every four years in honor of Zeus, an institution with pan-Hellenic radiance and brilliance from antiquity to the present day. The Archaeological Museum of Olympia, one of the most important in Greece, presents the long-standing historical development of one of the most glorious sanctuaries of antiquity, which was dedicated to the father of gods and men, Zeus, and was the cradle of the Olympic Games.

Argos - Drive through Argos town and the orange groves of the Argolis region

Archaeological Site Mycenae - At 15:30 with our local guide, visit to the “Golden Mycenae”, the kingdom of the mythical Agamemnon, first praised by Homer in his epics, is the most important and richest palace center of the Late Bronze Age in Greece. Their name has been given to one of the most brilliant civilizations of Greek prehistory, the Mycenaean, and the myths associated with their history spanned the centuries with the Homeric epics and the great tragedies of the classical era, while inspiring and continuing to inspire the world intellectual creation and art. The mythical tradition bears as the founder of Mycenae Perseus, son of Zeus and Danae, daughter of Akrisius, king of Argos, descendant of Danaeus. Mycenae was founded between two high conical hills. On a low hill that dominated the Argolic plain and had control of road and sea communications. Guided tour in the archaeological site and to the archaeological museum

Nafplio - Arrival at 18:30 in Nafplio town, one of the most romantic town in Greece. Walking tour in the traditional town of Naplio through the narrow streets and the small squares. Enjoy a dinner in one the restaurants in the old town

Palamidi - Ancient Epidavros - Isthmia - Athens

Palamidi Castle - At 09:00 visit to the fort of the Palamidi with our local guide. The hill of Palamidi, which takes its name from the Homeric hero Palamidis, does not seem to have been systematically fortified until the second Venetian occupation. The construction of the fort was basically carried out during the time of Venetian General Superintendent of the Fleet, Agostino Sagredo, from 1711 to 1714, marking the fort not only as a major feat in terms of its fortifications, but also in terms of the speed with which it was constructed. Guided walking tour in the fortress from where you will admire the view of Nafplio town and Argolic gulf.

Ancient Theatre at the Asclepieion of Epidaurus - At 10:45 with our local guide, guided tour in the archaeological site of Asklipieion where is the ancient Theater of Epidaurus. The Asclepieion of Epidaurus was one of the great pan-Hellenic sanctuaries of antiquity. It belonged to Epidaurus, a small city-state of classical times located on the nearby west coast of the Saronic Gulf, on the site of the present-day settlement of Old Epidaurus. The buildings of the Asclepieion - temples, sports facilities, theater, baths, etc. - were spread in a narrow, mountainous valley surrounded by mountains that leave only one way out to the sea.
