KATARAGAMA - NUWARA ELIYA
Ravana Ella Falls - Drive to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit Ravana waterfall and Cave.
Rawana Waterfall is a legendary waterfall that goes back to the era of Ramayana. It is told that King Ravana, kidnapped princess Sita and kept her hidden in a cave located behind the waterfall.
Seetha Amman Kovil - Visit Seetha Amman Temple. This is believed to be the place where Seeta lived most of the time of her captivity according to the historical Legend of Ramayana.
NUWARA ELIYA
Gayathri Peedam - Visit Gayathri Peedam, the first and most important temple built for Gayathri Amman in Sri Lanka. It is said to be the place from where King Ravana’s son Meghanath propitiated Lord Shiva with penance and worship, before he was granted supernatural powers by the mighty god.
Nuwara Eliya - Proceed to visit Ashok Vatika, a garden located in Seeta Eliya. According to the historical Legend of Ramayana, Seeta was kept in this garden as she refused to stay in Ravana’s magnificent palace.
