Arrival in Mwanza and Photographic Game Drive in Western Serengeti

Lake Victoria - Arrive in Mwanza on an early morning flight around 7:30-8:30. Our guide will meet you and take you to a local restaurant for breakfast. After a safari briefing, you’ll head straight to the park’s western entry gate. This will be a full game drive in the vast wilderness of the Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is home to a rich variety of wildlife, including over 2 million herbivores like wildebeest and zebra, around 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and 500 bird species. This ecosystem offers a lifetime of enriching experiences. The park’s western circuit hosts large herds of resident and migratory wildebeest and zebra during the dry season. Serengeti is home to the BIG FIVE CATS: lion, cheetah, buffalo, leopard, and elephant, along with many other wildlife species such as giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and the rare oribi antelope. You’ll have the opportunity to photograph them up close before heading to the central area for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park - The Great Wildebeest Migration in Serengeti National Park is considered one of the Ten Wonders of the Natural World and is a spectacular event to witness in Tanzania. You’ll continue with a full game drive in the central Serengeti’s vast wilderness. You’ll have ample time for an extensive game drive and the chance to encounter the big five and big cats. Serengeti National Park is home to lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, and many bird species. You’ll have a full day of photo opportunities with support from our professional guides. In the evening, you’ll drive to a government rest house for an overnight stay, enjoying the beautiful views of the Serengeti plains.

Photographic Game Drive in Southern Serengeti and Check-in at Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti National Park - After an early breakfast, you’ll begin your third day with a full game drive from central to southern Serengeti. You’ll have plenty of time for an extensive game drive and the chance to continue encountering the big five and big cats. Serengeti National Park is home to lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, and many bird species. After lunch, you’ll check out of Serengeti and spend the night at a crater rim camp in Ngorongoro, enjoying the magnificent views of the crater.

Photographic Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater and Drive to Arusha for Drop-off

Ngorongoro Crater - Wake up early, have breakfast, and get ready for your last day of photographic safari in Ngorongoro Crater. You’ll experience the spectacular views of the crater and hear the songs of various bird species. You may also see some of the big cats. Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s best-known wildlife viewing areas. The crater is about 21 km wide, near Olduvai Gorge, where many fossils have been unearthed, and is one of the largest calderas in the world. Within its walls, you’ll find a variety of animals and vegetation, including grasslands, swamps, forests, salt pans, a freshwater lake, and rich wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelles, rhinos, and reedbucks. After lunch, you’ll check out of Ngorongoro and drive straight to Arusha for drop-off at either Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport, ready for your evening departure to your home country.
