Trip of a LIFETIME - Trip of a LIFETIME. This was our first time to Africa and Duma Explorer went above and beyond putting this trip together for us. Stacy answered numerous questions via phone calls and emails and created the most detailed itinerary. My dad (71) mom (61) and myself (29) felt absolutely safe while adventuring on this 10 day safari. Every night while looking at pictures we’d ask ourselves “how can this get any better?” And it DID! We experienced everything the Serengeti had to offer and more! Our guide, Sifuni, truly became our friend and we admired his respect for the Serengeti, his knowledge of the wildlife at each location and kept us safe at all times.

Amazing safari in Tanzania with Duma Explorer! - We just returned home from our trip to Tanzania - we did a safari at Ngorogoro Crater and the Serengeti, followed by five nights in Zanzibar. Stacy at Duma Explorer planned the trip for our group perfectly. Our safari with Duma Explorer's Tanzanian partner Alika Africa was fantastic - our guides were incredible, as were the places we stayed both on safari and in Zanzibar, I honestly wouldn't change a thing. Duma Explorer was spot on with all their recommendations and bookings. Everything ran smoothly, from airport and hotel transfers to check-ins and everything in between. We all had a wonderful time and we will never forget this amazing experience! Thank you!!

What an amazing experience - The 5 day safari was very interesting. Ebenezer was my guide and his 30 years of experience made it so wonderful. He was able to show us the interaction between animals. For example, he found a lion walking with his new catch of food, and then explained that a hyena tracks it to try and steal the lions food. Sure enough, a hyena shows up looking for the lion. The zebras were all watching as it happened. We were able to see first hand how the circle of life unfolds. Ebenezer could spot and find animals so easily and had so much knowledge about each animal, bird, flower and the history of each area we visited. He was a treasure and I hope he’s paid very well for what he brings to tourists with his years of knowledge. He was a very conscientious driver which made us feel very safe and he was very respectful to make sure the animals were not disturbed by our presence.

Amazing experience in Northern Tanzania! - This was my third safari with Duma Explorer/Alika Africa. Stacy at Duma Explorer/Alika Africa planned a memory-packed, fantastic experience of a lifetime for my family (6 of us) and friends (8 more)! Stacy arranged all of our pre- post- and on-tour accommodations, and they were second to none! Every staff provided service that was over-the-top! They made us feel like family everywhere we stayed. Tumbili Lodge and Rivertrees Lodge were fabulous pre- and post-tour places to stay – gorgeous suites, delicious meals and beautiful grounds! While on safari, the Tarangire Safari Lodge provided spectacular views, Sound of Silence Camp had incredible, cozy tents that felt like we were living on a Hollywood set, and Lion’s Paw Lodge provided glamping at its best! All had in-tent hot showers, flushing toilets, sinks and vanities, comfortable beds and attentive staff members. We snuggled into our professionally turned-down beds, after 5-star meals, and listened to the animals sing us to sleep every night. And then, of course, there was the actual safari! Most of the people with us were experiencing safari for the first time. They were all hoping to see A zebra, A giraffe, AN elephant, and A lion. Their first-timer wow-moments, gasps, awe-inspired expressions, and daily most-memorable moments were so fun to experience with them! Our guides, Joseph and Ebenezer were so knowledgeable and patient with all of our black-rock rhino, dirt-mound lion, lumpy-tree leopard, wart-hog cheetah sightings:) I’m sure we wore them out with our questions, but they never quit answering them or educating us with their knowledge from their years in the bush. What an adventure we had - we will be talking about it for the rest of our lives. While I thought this might be my third and final trip to Tanzania, I find myself already yearning for my return to the most amazing place on Earth. And, of course, I will be contacting Stacy at Duma Explorer/Alika Africa to help me plan my next Tanzanian expedition!

A dream come true! - Joseph and Ebenezer were our two guides for our group of 14. Amazing trip into the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. We started out slow and then bam! Animals everywhere. We have a birder in the group and she had a list so long at the end of the trip. We watched a lion escape from hyenas with the leg of a zebra, pools of hippos, a bunch of crocodiles, thousands of zebras, many giraffes and quite a few elephants..the list could go on. The keen eye of our guides made sure that we were maximizing our time on Safari. Joseph and Ebenezer are so friendly and such safe drivers, we never felt in uncomfortable at any point of our trip. Bravo Alika Tours and Duma Explorers for making this dream come true.

Safari of a lifetime! - We had a wonderful 5 day safari, visiting Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Central Serengeti. We saw so much (including two rhino!). A particular highlight was catching the wildebeest migration and a river crossing, and we also loved seeing the families of giraffes and elephants! We would definitely recommend the hot air balloon safari experience at sunrise- the views were incredible. Thank you especially to our amazing safari guide, George, for all his knowledge and stories, he made our trip incredibly special.

A once in a lifetime experience with a fantastic tour group and guide! - My partner and I had the most amazing time on our safari with Duma’s Tanzanian partner Alika Africa. We did a 6 day tour of Tarangire, different parts of the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro crater. Our tour guide Justin was phenomenal. He was friendly and kind and incredibly knowledgeable. He knew every single bird, animal, and plant that we asked about and could tell us so many interesting facts about their habits and life patterns. We saw an astounding variety of animals - Justin was excellent at finding them and making sure we crossed off every animal on our bucket list. Every lodge and camp we stayed at was delightful - the amenities were fantastic and the people very friendly. We had a hot shower and a delicious meal each night. Overall this was an incredibly special experience and we are so grateful to Alika for making it the best trip ever!

Welcome to Paradise - Everything was organize perfect. The game driving, the accommodation, the food, especially our gide George. He managed to show us the big five (including the verry rare Five leg elefant) as well as dramatic scenes of a cheetah hunting at full speed and catching an antelope.

Ebenezer was amazing! - A completely unforgettable experience. You don't need me to tell you how cool a safari is, so I'll just tell you to ask for Ebenezer. We truly couldn't have asked for a better guide. Incredibly knowledgeable, great at spotting animals, and a safe driver (very important on those roads). He's a great guy and very funny; a seriously great addition to the trip! We felt very taken care of and properly on an adventure!!! Thank you Ebenezer!!!

Unforgettable Safari experience with the best guide we could have asked for, Msangi! - We have just finished the best week of safari with Duma Explorer and Alika Africa. Our guide, Msangi, was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about all the animals, kind and generous. We have seen all of the big 5 and the wilderbeest migration, a once in a lifetime experience and Msangi knew the best places to find the animals! He went above and beyond for us and even took my sister to pick up supplies in Arusha as she was due to climb Mt Meru the next day. Duma Explorer and Alika Africa gave us very helpful advice when it came to planning the trip and were very quick to respond. We honestly cannot recommend Duma Explorer and Alika Africa more - do not hesitate to use to plan your safari!
