Guangzhou - The guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby around 09:00 AM. They will be taken to the renowned Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, a 30-minute drive away.

Chen Clan Ancestral Hall-Folk Craft Museum - Built in 1894 during the Qing Dynasty by 72 Chen families, this academic temple served as accommodation for juniors preparing for imperial exams. The Chen Clan Academy showcases traditional Cantonese architecture, richly decorated with wood, stone, and brick carvings, pottery, plaster, and iron engravings, both inside and outside the halls.

Shamian Island - Next, guests will travel by private car to Shamian Island to explore the European architectural area, a former British and French colony from 100 years ago. The guide will then take them to a local restaurant to enjoy delicious Cantonese Dim Sum for lunch.

Qingping Medicine Market - After lunch, guests will visit Qingping Market, located at the intersection of Qingping Street and Tiyun Street along the Pearl River. This large-scale market covers 11,200 square meters (120,000 square feet) with over 1,200 booths, offering a wide variety of agricultural products and Chinese herbal medicines. It has been visited by government officials from over 40 countries, including the United States, Britain, France, Germany, and Japan, who found it a delightful experience. Visitors can purchase agricultural products, experience local life, and witness ancient trading practices.

Hualin Temple - The next stop is Hualin Temple (Hualin Si) in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, an ancient temple with a history of about 1,400 years. Built during the Southern Dynasties (420-581 AD), it was expanded and renamed Hualin Temple in 1654. Once one of the five largest Buddhist temples in Guangzhou, it features the Five-Hundred-Arhat Hall, built during Emperor Daoguang’s reign (1821-1861), with lifelike statues of Arhats in various postures and moods. A statue of Marco Polo, the Italian explorer, is also present, along with the King Asoka Pagoda in the hall’s center.

Lychee Bay Scenic Area - Guests will then transfer to Lychee Bay, a popular tourist area in Guangzhou, known for its authentic Lingnan culture and customs. It is located in the Pantang region, west of Liwan District.

Guangzhou - Finally, the guide will escort guests back to their hotel.

Guangzhou - The guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby around 09:00 AM. They will be taken to the famous Yuexiu Park, a 30-minute drive away.

Yuexiu Park - Yuexiu Park is the largest park in downtown Guangzhou, covering 860,000 square meters (212.5 acres). It features three artificial lakes and seven hills of Yuexiu Mountain, hence its name. Visitors can see the Five-Ram Sculpture and Zhenhai Tower.

Museum of the Western Han Dynasty Mausoleum of the Nanyue King - After Yuexiu Park, guests will visit the Nan Yue Kingdom Tomb Museum, the oldest and largest Han tomb with the most funerary objects in the Lingnan area (south of the Nanling Mountain). As one of the world’s 80 famous museums, it spans 14,000 square meters (150,699.6 square feet) with 10 exhibition halls.

Canton Tower - Next, guests will visit the Canton Tower, located at the intersection of Guangzhou New City Central Axes and Pearl River. Standing 600 meters tall, with a 450-meter main body and a 150-meter antenna, it is the tallest tower in China and the third tallest in the world. The Canton Tower is more than a sightseeing TV tower; it is a new symbol and image of Guangzhou. Visitors will enjoy a unique and magnificent experience at this new landmark.

Guangzhou Railway Station - Finally, the guide will escort guests to Guangzhou railway station to board the D2842 train at 18:10, arriving in Guilin at 20:52. The train journey takes approximately 3 hours.

Guilin North Railway Station Parking Lot - Upon arrival in Guilin, guests will be picked up and transferred to their hotel by a driver (no guide).

Guilin - The guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby around 08:30 AM. They will be taken to the famous Reed Flute Cave, a 30-minute drive away.

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Upon arrival, guests will enter the underground karst cave and marvel at the stunning formations of stalagmites and stalactites. The Reed Flute Cave is a renowned karst cave with numerous stalagmites and stalactites shaped like bamboo shoots, pillars, curtains, and flowers, creating a magnificent underground palace. Inside, visitors can discover more astonishing sights, such as stone lions, miniature forests, pagodas, and crystal chambers, each with a romantic or interesting story. The guide’s vivid interpretation and lighting add mystery to the scene. The cave tour lasts about 40 minutes.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - After a two-hour drive, guests will reach the entrance to the Longji Terraces, where they will purchase Longji entrance tickets for the rice terraces in Ping’an Village. The Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces is a spectacular agricultural site with a history of over 650 years. The most striking part of the terrace cluster is the Ping’an Village Rice Terrace, the first discovered by tourists and photographers. Numerous narrow rice fields carved along the hill slopes form terraces connected by winding flagstone trails. Viewing platforms offer visitors panoramic views of the terrace fields. Guests can also experience the traditional lifestyle of the minority Zhuang people, helping them in the fields, trying on their colorful ethnic costumes, and visiting their unique stilted houses.

Ping’an Village - Upon arrival, guests will take a moderate trek along steps to Ping’an Zhuang Village, a 40-minute walk. The guide will lead a stroll around the village, showcasing the local Zhuang people’s unique wooden stilted houses. Lunch will be enjoyed in the village. After a short lunch break, guests will continue exploring the terraces to the No.2 Viewing Platform (Seven Star with the Moon), a 15-minute walk, offering a fantastic bird’s-eye view of the Longji Terraces. There will be ample time for photos and enjoying the fresh air. The tour will then proceed to the No.1 Viewing Platform (Nine Dragons and Five Tigers), a 30-minute walk along a flat path.

Guilin - Afterwards, guests will be driven back to their Guilin hotel around 5:30 PM, with free time for the evening.

Guilin - Yangshuo. O/N Yangshuo.

Guilin - In the morning, the guide and driver will pick up guests from the hotel around 07:45 AM and escort them to the Zhujiang pier to begin the Guilin Li River cruise to Yangshuo (4-star boat with buffet lunch).

Li River - Boarding is scheduled for 9:20 AM, and the journey takes about 4 hours. With the guide’s company and interpretation, guests can immerse themselves in the stunning karst landscape of rolling hills, verdant forests, odd caves, and tranquil villages along the Li River. A buffet Chinese lunch will be served on board before reaching Yangshuo at 2:00 PM.

Xianggong Mountain - After disembarkation, guests will be driven to Yangshuo Xianggong Hill. They will climb a moderately sloped staircase for 15 minutes to reach the top. Guests should inform the guide in advance if they need a walking stick. Situated between the famous Yellow Cloth Shoal and Mural Hill, Xianggong Hill is one of the best viewing platforms in Guilin to admire the Li River’s beauty. The breathtaking view of the meandering Li River making a 180-degree bend attracts countless visitors and photographers annually.

Yangshuo County - Finally, the guide will escort guests to their Yangshuo hotel, with free time for the evening. There is an option to attend the ‘Impression Sanjie Liu’ night show, performed above and on the Li River against verdant hills. The dreamlike stage effects and original singing and dancing of national minorities have earned the performance a stellar reputation among visitors. The show begins at 8:00 PM and lasts for 70 minutes, with ticket prices ranging from CNY 268 to CNY 368, depending on the seats. If interested, the guide will reserve tickets and escort guests to the site after dinner.

Yangshuo County - In the morning, the guide and driver will pick up guests from the hotel around 09:00 AM and escort them to the Yulong River for the Yangshuo Yulong bamboo boat tour.

Yulong River - Taking a bamboo raft ride on the Yulong River (or Dragon River), a tributary of the Li River, offers a relaxing way to enjoy the scenic area south of Yangshuo. Guests can enjoy the stunning scenery and views of country life on a non-motorized raft, steered by a gondolier over breakwaters past small mud-brick villages and farmlands. Once on the bamboo raft, guests can sit back and enjoy the peaceful countryside and limestone mountains. Even if they have cycled the area, the view from the river is different. The boat ride lasts for 50 minutes, one way.

Fuli Ancient Town - Next, guests will travel by car to Yangshuo Fuli Town, a 20-minute drive. In this town, they will experience local farmers’ lives. The guide will escort them to a local market, then head to the old streets to see fans, paintings, and water buffalo near the river (end of the street).

Xingping Town - Once a sleepy riverside village, Xingping has grown into a town with an old center that can be explored in about an hour. Xingping has a long history, with many buildings dating back to the Qing and Ming dynasties. On local market days, the town comes alive with locals from surrounding villages buying and selling produce. Restaurants and coffee shops offer the local specialty, beer fish, and local handicrafts, including handmade jewelry. The scenery around Xingping is magnificent, and visitors can see the view immortalized on the national 20 RMB note.

Yangshuo County - Finally, the guide will escort guests to their hotel or Guilin hotel/airport/train station, marking the end of the 5-day tour.
