Arrival. Welcome to Baku + Panoramic Evening Tour

Heydar Aliyev International Airport - On the first day, after a warm welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel, guests will experience the unique evening charm of Baku from various vantage points, including panoramic views from Highland Park and key attractions such as the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, Baku Conference Center, Boulevard, Little Venice, Carpet Museum, and Flame Towers:

  • Pickup from Heydar Aliyev International Airport
  • Transfer to the hotel and check-in
  • Free time at the hotel

Highland Park - The tour begins with a visit to Highland Park (3 Flame Towers, Martyrs’ Lane, Eternal Flame Monument). Guests will also see Baku Crystal Hall, Flag Square, and the Baku Ferris Wheel. Drop off at the hotel and overnight stay in Baku.

Baku City Tour

Baku Old City - On the second day, the tour covers the historical, contemporary, and future aspects of Baku. This guided city tour will take guests to Azerbaijan’s most captivating sites such as the Old City (Icherisheher), Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, Highland Park, and Baku Boulevard, providing insights into the city’s evolution from the 5th century through the Soviet era to independence.

We start in the Old City, visiting the House of Baku Khans, Multani Caravansarai, Maiden Tower, St. Bartholomew Church, Juma Mosque, Muhammad Mosque, Aga Mikayil Bath House, Miniature Books Museum, Palace of the Shirvanshahs, and more.

Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center - The next stop is the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, where guests will explore the museum and its newly designed exhibitions.

Baku Boulevard - The tour continues to Baku Boulevard, where guests will visit the Carpet Museum and Little Venice.

Nizami Street / Tarqovi - The final destination of the day is Nizami Street and Fountain Square. The tour concludes here, followed by a drop-off at the hotel and an overnight stay in Baku.

Shamakhi Tour & Transfer to Gabala

Diri Baba Mausoleum - The tours on the third and fourth days are ideal for nature and history enthusiasts, offering different features and activities depending on the season. This tour is perfect for those who enjoy snowy landscapes and winter activities, as well as those who prefer greenery and cool weather in other seasons. On this day, we offer two options: the Shamakhi - Gabala Tour or the Guba & Gusar Shahdag Tour:

  • Pickup from the hotel in Baku
  • Stop at Diri Baba Mausoleum

Juma Mosque - The next stop in Shamakhi is Juma Mosque, the first mosque of Azerbaijan.

Gabala - Drive to Gabala, drop off at the hotel, and overnight stay in Gabala.

Guba-Khachmaz Region - If guests choose the Guba Tour & Transfer to Gusar-Shahdag Tour option instead of the Shamakhi Tour & Transfer to Gabala, the itinerary for the third day will be as follows:

  • Pickup from the hotel in Baku
  • Besh Barmag Mountain
  • Qechresh Forest
  • Chenlibel Lake
  • Drive to Shahdag and drop off at the hotel
  • Overnight stay in Shahdag

Gabala Tour & Transfer to Baku

Nohur Lake - On the fourth day of the tour, we pick up guests from the hotel in Gabala and first visit Nohur Lake.

Tufandag Mountain Resort - The next stop is Tufandag Mountain Resort for a cable car ride.

Yeddi Gozel Waterfall - The final destination of the fourth day is the Seven Beauty Waterfall. The tour concludes here, followed by a return to Baku and drop-off at the hotel. Overnight stay in Baku.

Shahdag Mountain Resort - As part of the second option, if guests choose the Gusar Shahdag Tour & Transfer to Baku instead of the Gabala Tour & Transfer to Baku, the itinerary will be as follows:

  • Pickup from the hotel in Shahdag
  • Shahdag Mountain Resort
  • Return to Baku and drop-off at the hotel
  • Overnight stay in Baku

Gobustan, Mud Volcanoes and Ateshgah-Fire Temple, Yanar Dag – Burning Mountain Tour

Gobustan Rock Art - The fifth day tour explores the lifestyle of prehistoric people, dating back thousands of years, and delves into the history of hand-drawn petroglyphs in the Gobustan State Historical and Cultural Reserve, the bubbling Mud Volcanoes, the Ateshgah castle-like religious Fire Temple used by Hindus, Sikhs, and Zoroastrians, and Yanardag - Burning Mountain on the Absheron Peninsula, where natural gas fires blaze continuously on a hillside:

  • Pickup from the hotel
  • Stop at Gobustan Museum
  • Stop at Gobustan Petroglyphs

Mud Volcanoes - The next destination in Gobustan is the Mud Volcanoes. On the way back to the city center, we will stop at Bibiheybat Mosque and Oil Well.

Ateshgah - Fire Temple - The tour continues to Ateshgah-Fire Temple. The pentagonal complex, with a courtyard surrounded by cells for monks and a tetrapillar-altar in the middle, was built during the 17th and 18th centuries.

Yanardag State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve - Our last stop is Yanar Dag - Fire Mountain. The tour concludes here, followed by a drop-off at the hotel and an overnight stay in Baku.

Transfer to the Airport

Heydar Aliyev International Airport - Check-out from the hotel, pickup from the hotel, and transfer to the airport.

Guests will visit Baku, Gobustan, Absheron, Shamakhi, Gabala or Guba, and Qusar Shahdag regions.

You can enjoy the evening from different views, dig into the past, present, and future of Baku and experience the lifestyle of prehistoric people, discover the Mud volcanoes, admire Zoroastrians in Azerbaijan and the natural wonder of the state-protected conservation area of the mountain Yanar Dag and see the nature and visit one of Azerbaijan’s oldest cities and newest resort town.

You will travel into the Azerbaijan Mountains from Baku to explore Shamakhi, Ismayilli and Qabala. Or you can enjoy the Guba and Gusar-Shahdag excursion, which is ideal for travelers who enjoy mountains and wildlife.

  • General tour durations is 8-10 hours for each day except the first day and final transfer day with driving distances and visiting sightseeings. The first day only transfer and Panoramic evening tour. Rest of the time will be spent in the hotel or free activity wil be there for the first day

Great , greater ,greatest - What to write a review , words will be short , videos will not justify the trip, pictures cannot speak about the place . Mr Valleh of VLA Tourism has done a great no an excellent work with an excellent itinerary made by him.
