Unforgettable Honeymoon: Kilimanjaro, Serengeti + Ngorongoro, & Zanzibar - We had the most incredible honeymoon experience with Habari Adventures! From the initial planning stages to the actual trip, everything was seamless. The communication was always clear and easy, making the entire process stress-free. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that every detail was meticulously handled. We were even surprised with a visit from Stan, the owner, right before we left for our safari. Meeting the man behind the magic was a highlight, and it only deepened our appreciation for the care and dedication that went into planning our adventure. We felt completely looked after throughout our Kilimanjaro summit, safari, and Zanzibar vacation. Coming back home felt like we lived in a dream for the past two weeks. It was truly a dream come true, and we can't recommend Habari Adventures enough! Sharing some details from the trip below: Kilimanjaro 6 Days Machame Route: We chose to start our marriage with the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro because we believed that if we could conquer this together, we could face anything life throws our way. Abdi and Benson, our lead guides, were nothing short of amazing. However, everyone on our team quickly became like family. Each person played a crucial role, and when we share photos of our hike, we make sure to name every team member so we never forget them. The service and kindness we experienced were unparalleled. The team was always ready to answer any questions we had about the mountain, the local wildlife, what it's like to live in the area, and their personal stories. Coming from Denver, we had prepared for Kilimanjaro but still had concerns about summit day and our gear. Before we began the hike, Abdi and Benson conducted a thorough gear check to ensure we had everything we needed. Anything we lacked could be rented from Habari Adventures, and I highly recommend renting a portable toilet—while it’s an extra cost, it was a luxury on the trail. We were well-fed (thanks to mpishi ;), encouraged, and supported every step of the way. Our health and safety was the number one priority. Each night we would get our pulse and oxygen level monitored and if something wasn’t right, they would know what to do. No picture can truly capture the beauty and emotion of the experience. When we reached the summit, we all shed tears of joy, knowing we had just accomplished one of the hardest things we've ever done. Accommodation: BruBru Lodge & cute 2 room tent Safari- 3 Days Serengeti & 1 day Ngorongoro Crater: Octavian completely blew us away with his incredible wealth of knowledge and kind heart. His genuine passion for safari truly rubbed off on both my husband and me. We were delighted to be surprised with a "Happy Honeymoon" Jeep and a bottle of wine to celebrate our adventure. Each time we spotted an animal, the excitement was shared by all of us, and it only fueled our enthusiasm to continue the journey. We were incredibly lucky to spot all of the Big 5, which we know is extremely rare. ** Accommodation: We stayed at the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge and the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, both of which offered stunning landscapes. At Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, the staff went out of their way to make our stay special. They decorated our bed with flowers, left us a heartfelt note, and even prepared a beautiful flower arrangement at our table. Every employee knew we were the "honeymooners" and made us feel truly welcomed. The buffet was also one of the best I've ever had. Zanzibar: Although we had to book our own flights to Zanzibar from JRO, the process was a breeze. Octavian dropped us off at JRO, and our driver seamlessly picked us up and drove us to the Mahali Zanzibar Hotel. After the excitement and early mornings of the past few days, we were thrilled to finally sleep in. The lodge was extremely comfortable and inviting. We spent our days walking along the beach, sipping piña coladas, and relaxing by the pool for hours. The only excursion we chose was the Blue Lagoon snorkeling, which was absolutely perfect. We were so content with our low-key stay that we didn’t feel the need to do more, although I’m sure we would have enjoyed the other excursions as well. Thank you Habari Adventures for making this an unforgettable honeymoon. We can’t wait to bring our future kids back to Tanzania one day!

6 days Machame - Habari Adventure is very responsive and welcoming from the beginning of planning to the end of the adventure. We were a team of nine people, the Habari team adapted to all our needs and desires. We did a six-day trek along the Machame route, followed by a charity run and then a seven-day safari. The management and planning team often responded to our questions and concerns within minutes of asking them. There is a lot to say about the guides, the cuisine, the porters, the safari service, etc. from Habari, they are all great. They have helped us make the most of our stay every day in Tanzania. A special thanks to Caroline, the planner and contact person from day one to the end. She has given us all the attention we needed and provided all the little details to ensure our trip went smoothly. They are fully aware of life in the mountains and what it takes to reach the highest point possible. I highly recommend Habari's service for those who may be interested in a Kilimanjaro trek and safari near or far. Thank you Habari Team for all the effort and the great moment. My solo trip to Kili - I did the 6 day Machame route and really did have a trip of a lifetime only made possible by the amazing service, knowledge and support from Habari Adventure. The service, from the airport, throughout the whole trip was amazing and could not be doubted. The guides were excellent giving us the benefit of all their experience on the mountain as well as their love of Kili. I was really impressed with the organization of everything from the airport to trip planning to meals and entertainment by the crew. I have lifelong memories of my trip up Kilimanjaro! With Habari Adventure, I always felt special from camping facilities, food (it was delicious), having my own toilet. The porters and guides have maximum respect and this is evident throughout the hierarchy of staff with the whole team. The porters were truly awesome and inspirational! I could not doubt Habari Adventure and they really did make my trip to Kili a once in a lifetime experience so thank you so much!

Machame Route Feb 2024 with great team - We booked our Kilimanjaro trek with Caroline at Habari Adventure about 4 weeks before our trip began in the middle of Feb. She was helpful and professional from the beginning, making sure to keep me informed about how to trek, what we would need, and what the trek price included. We arrived in Kilimanjaro Airport and one of the staff of Habari Adventure was ready and waiting for us with a bottle of water, Juice and cold Coca. The Hotel was extremely nice to stay at before our trek- working with Caroline we added an extra two days at the beginning. The trek was physically difficult and also mentally challenging. When the trek became more difficult our assistant guide, Abdi, would say something or try to sing a song to us. I went with my partner and he and I are more shy. The trek was specifically catered to us with our guides paying attention to how we reacted to each individual thing. The entire group was incredible- we had a guide, an assistant guide, a chef, a waiter, a camp manager, and six porters. They were all very helpful, the food was incredible and that is saying a lot because I'm a vegetarian, and they would interact with us although many of the porters did not speak English. The waiter started to teach me Swahili and would quiz me on different words at meal times, which ended up being really amazing! I would not have been able to summit without the full support of Abdi and Evance. At times they would take both of my hands to help support me. It was physically difficult but I was healthy enough to summit, and their constant encouragement helped me accomplish one of the hardest things I've ever done. The one tip I would give is to make sure to bring USD when you come- we were not able to as we were traveling before, and Habari Adventure did go above and beyond help us to get US dollars when we arrived in Tanzania, but it was a much longer, difficult, and expensive process than it would have been at an airport. Additionally, one of the main reasons we chose Habari Adventure was because it is a locally owned business in Moshi and because it has a reputation of treating porters well, which from our observations and interactions was true. Overall we had a great experience with talented and attentive tour guides and staff. I would highly recommend Habari Adventure for outdoor activities in Kilimanjaro.

My son 16th Birthday on rooftop of Africa - Climbing Kilimanjaro is not easy but Habari Adventure made sure that we were as comfortable as possible. The equipment and tents were of high quality, the guides and crew took utmost care of our health and ensured we submitted safely. The best local guides for the safe and comfortable hike - Would 100% recommend Habari Adventure! Our team leader was Evance who was exceptional in organizing sing the team to assist our group of 8 on the expedition. The other guides we had helping us were amazing, and were Michael, Innocent and Jose. The overall team of porters and chefs were incredible, always with a smile on their face. The food was excellent and they catered to our dietary requirements. The team adjusted the pace for our group to make sure we were all comfortable. They answered any questions we had about the mountain. We learnt so much from them in terms of not only the mountain itself but also life philosophy too. Summit day was a big challenge for us, however the team motivated us and we all managed to summit. In particular Evance, Michael and Jose struck the right balance in terms of pushing us to our limits and enabling us to succeed. We were also told by many members of the team that Habari Adventure treat their staff very fairly and they were all happy to work for them.

Wonderful Kilimanjaro trekking hosted by Habari Adventure - We had most memorable trip to Kilimanjaro via Machame route in early March 2024. We were a group of 9 and we all made it to the top, we had an awesome Kilimanjaro experience. Everything was smooth and well organized from the time we stepped off the plane until the day we sadly had to leave. The guides and porters were simply great during the whole trip. They watched us very carefully throughout the climb and made it a point to talk to us constantly to make sure we were ok. They also checked our health status twice per day and assist us when we needed assistance. Some porters joined us during the summit day and they assist us so much. We were also impressed by the works of porters; they carried so much more stuff than we did on their heads. And they were able to run ahead of us and set everything up so we literally didn’t have to do anything at the camp. Our success is contributed by the wonderful staff from Habari Adventure. The climb was tough and I hated it at the time when I was tired and when it was too much cold but after, I felt a great sense of accomplishment. It’s a beautiful mountain a most pleasant experience and I will cherish the memories forever. I had experience of a lifetime. Thank you so much Habari Adventure.

6 days Machame route with Habari Adventure - I just went on a 6 days trek with Habari Adventure through Machame route, this was the best decision I’ve ever made. This company exceeded my expectations, they give quality services and their priority was to give me an amazing experience. The driver was nice and very professional. They provided pick up and drop off service to and from airport as well as to and from my hotel to Habari Adventure office. In the office I met Habari Adventure representative Caroline who gave me short briefing, checking my gears and make sure I had all the equipments I needed. They offered a rental option for very reasonable prices and I was shocked when they took me to their storage space, they have everything and plenty of different choices. The next day morning I met my guide Michael ready to start my trip. He was incredibly helpful, funny and knowledgeable. He was constantly joking and encouraging in difficult times. The team that came up with me was absolutely incredible. They were all friendly and helpful; they did some singing for me at the camp and after the trek at Habari Adventure office. I t was great to have such a strong and bonded team and I’m so grateful for them and what they did. The food was delicious, I was really wondering what the food will be like and I was blown away. I ate well on the mountain than I did before I started my trip. The chef was Remy and he was extremely creative and talented in making delicious soups, breakfasts, lunches and everything. I didn’t know if I could make it up to the summit, but I know for sure that I couldn’t make it without this wonderful team. They are the support system that allowed me to persevere and I will forever be grateful for them. Habari Adventure was wonderful and I will never go with another company.

Perfect organization for our Kilimanjaro climb and Safari - We chose Habari for the 6-day ascent of Kilimanjaro via the Machame route. Excellent contacts with Stan before the trip with very good responsiveness. They were able to adapt to the fact that one of our bags did not arrive by renting us the missing equipment. Léon and Joseph, our two guides, were perfect in making this challenge a success, as were all the other 6 members of our team (chef and porters). After the ascent, we went on a 3-day safari with Habari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro, which was also perfectly organized and Nasser, our driver, led us perfectly to help us discover as much of the wildlife as possible. We highly recommend!!
