Absolutely recommend - Our driver was so attentive to what we needed. We were promptly picked up from each stop and he even helped me get the cartouche I so wanted from this trip. I would gladly use this service again especially if you want to visit places on your time not a tour guide pushing you along. Such a great experience!!!

An education through Egypt - I recently took an amazing tour led by Salwa, a highly knowledgeable and licensed guide in Egyptian history. Despite a lot of walking, her insights made the experience enriching and worthwhile. Both Salwa and our driver ensured we stayed hydrated in the warm weather, adding to our comfort. The tour exceeded expectations, providing a deep dive into Egypt's rich culture. I highly recommend this tour and Salwa as your guide.

Old Cairo, the museum and churches/synagogues/Mosques - We had a tour guide Abdou who was excellent. Our tour started in the Museum of Civilisation- which takes you through the rulers of Egypt from 5000+ years ago to the present day as well as allowing you see the Mummies (all 20 of them ) Abdou explained the history - we did this at the end of a week long tour having completed Saqqara, Giza, Aswan, Luxor etc it really brought the tour together and I would highly recommend it. We moved I’m on to the hanging church and then the church under which sits the cave where Jesus and his parents were meant to have stayed when they had to flee Herod and so went into Egypt - it was stunning. Next we visited the synagogue (one of the oldest) this was built were Moses had resided as a prince of Egypt before he helped the Slaves escape. Finally we visited two mosques so we transitioned through the religious life of Egypt. We completed our tour with a bit of the oldest Market in Egypt. I loved this tour and Abdou brought the history to life once again I highly recommend him 10/10.

The tour fine, but bad conditions - The museum as such is spectacular especially if you go with a good Guide that progressively takes you throughout the history of Egypt. But all this is completely detracted from the suffocating heat it was. Just a few isolated fans in some rooms. The heat was unbearable as the rooms also have no other ventilation. It was our wish that this torture would end quickly. We couldn't enjoy it at all. It was supposed to be an Ace visit, but it turned into a nightmare. They are in the phase of taking everything to another building, but in the meantime they had to adopt transitional measures such as putting air appliances that do not need installation in all rooms and in large numbers. The bazaar is fine. All made in Chinese but haggling with traders is fun. You always take something. The old quarter nothing special except the. St George's Church which is worth the visit.
