Embracing the Ancient Mystique of 6th of October City
As the year draws to a close, the city of 6th of October in the Giza Governorate offers a unique blend of ancient history and modern celebration. This weekend, as the sun rises over the city, the air is crisp and clear, inviting you to embark on a journey through time. The Cairo Tour offers a two-day private guided exploration of Cairo’s most iconic sites, starting at 8:00 AM. This tour is a pilgrimage through the sands of time, where the Pyramids of Giza stand as silent sentinels of history, whispering tales of pharaohs and ancient civilizations.
The first day of the tour takes you to the Giza Plateau, where the Great Pyramid of Cheops and the enigmatic Sphinx await. As you stand before these monumental structures, you can feel the weight of history pressing down, a reminder of the spiritual and cultural significance of this land. The tour continues to Memphis and Sakkara, where the Step Pyramid of Djoser rises from the desert like a stairway to the heavens. As the day progresses, the weather remains pleasant, with temperatures rising to a comfortable 63.8°F, perfect for exploring these ancient wonders.
“Kairo at its best - We booked this tour through the homepage because our hotel was outside the normal pick-up zone. We were picked up at the hotel in Hurghada and also brought back from the airport. We also booked a German-speaking guide especially for the children. He was a studied Egyptologist who was in Heidelberg after his exam and learned German there. Unfortunately, we did not book in time. Our plane was on its way a little later, so we did not make it to Sakara in time. Still, it was great. We had two fully utilized days. Have seen a lot and can really only recommend making this trip, although it should have taken quiet 3 or 4 days as we were ‘only’ 3 hours in the Egyptian Museum. It’s incredibly impressive. Our driver was excellent. The chaos there is hard to imagine. I also want to highlight the service provided by the agency, which has always been in contact with us. All questions were resolved promptly. Our tour operator also offered a Cairo excursion, but only for one day. We stayed two days and stayed in a great hotel. In addition, this excursion was only minimally more expensive than the offer of our provider. In short: This offer was absolutely worth it. It was an absolutely private tour. We were expertly guided and had two great days.” - Reviewed on 2024-11-24
A Tranquil Journey on the Nile
As the afternoon sun begins to set, casting a golden glow over the city, the Felucca Sailing trip offers a serene escape on the Nile. Available from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, this traditional sailing experience is a gentle reminder of the timeless beauty of Egypt. As you glide along the river, the wind in your hair and the sun on your face, you are transported to a world where time stands still, and the hustle and bustle of the city fades into the background.
The Felucca, a traditional Egyptian sailboat, offers a unique perspective of Cairo’s skyline. As you sail, you can see the city transform from day to night, the lights twinkling like stars against the darkening sky. This journey is not just a physical one, but a spiritual one as well, as you connect with the ancient rhythms of the Nile, a river that has been the lifeblood of Egypt for millennia.
“Great Find - What a fabulous experience sailing along the Nile in a purely wind-driven authentic sailing boat, no noise from engines etc to intrude on this magical experience. So amazing to see the city by day and night and to watch the sun setting over the skyline of Cairo. One of the best boat tours we have done this year, so peaceful and relaxing.” - Reviewed on 2024-11-24
