Highlights

Safari game drive Arusha National Park - Africa Safari Lake Manyara\n\nArusha - Start your safari adventure from Arusha, the starting point of all safari holidays in Tanzania. You will be picked up from your place of stay or the airport by our driver-guide. From here you will make your way to Arusha National Park.\n\nArusha National Park - Enjoy a safari game drive in Arusha National Park, the home of Mount Meru, alkaline lakes and a highlight for birders.\nArusha National Park is one of the smaller national parks in the northern circuit and located at the foot of Mount Meru in Arusha. This beautiful park is mostly known for the rare black and white Colobus monkey that is often seen here. An amazingly gracious animal to see swirling between the trees with its long arms and long black and white fur. The park consists of mountain areas combined with rain forests and lakes. It is a paradise for bird watchers since you can find many tropical species here that are rarely seen anywhere else. Examples are the Greater flamingo and the Silvery-cheeked horn-bill. \n\n### A day for relaxation or optional activities\n\nManyara Region - The following day is a day for relaxing. You can for example sit back and relax by a pool with a cocktail, visit our spa or book an additional excursion from our broad and varied list of activities we offer in the area of Lake Manyara. Some examples are: Visiting a traditional Maasai Boma, going on a mountain bike tour through the farms and village of Mto Wa Mbu, visiting the Maasai market, exploring the village of \nMto Wa Mbu on a tuktuk tour and many more! \n\n### Enjoy a full day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park\n\nLake Manyara National Park - Enjoy a full day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, offering a large ecological variety in a small area. The alkaline soda of the lake appeals to impressive numbers of birds thriving on its water. More than 400 species have been identified and one of the highlights are the thousands of strolling flamingoes. From the entrance of the park, the road winds through a groundwater forest area where baboon troops can be seen hanging about on the roadside and in the trees. On the grassy banks of the lake, the wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and the large buffalo can be seen grazing the day away. The mahogany and acacia trees are inhabited by the famous tree-climbing lions, if you’re lucky you might spot them lazing on a tree branch.\n\nEnjoy your lunch in the middle of the National Park, while admiring the amazing view of the lake. \n\n### Full day game drive in Tarangire National Park\n\nTarangire National Park - Enjoy a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park, also known as the home of the elephants. Tarangire has the highest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti National Park, and is a fun and easy park to explore. Wildlife is abundant and exposed due to the park’s more compact and open terrain making it easier to see wildlife both up close and from a distance. It is 2850 square kilometers making it the sixth-largest park in Tanzania. Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants, which can be viewed at close range. Other animals likely to be seen throughout Tarangire are; wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, warthog, impala, python, lion, leopard and over 50 species of birds. \n\n### 150 corners route - Karatu (optional activities)\n\nKaratu - Today you will enjoy a scenic drive up the escarpment (the 150 corners road) on your way to Karatu. When arriving at Africa Safari Karatu in the afternoon you have the possibility to relax or book an additional tour, such as a coffee farm tour or visiting the Hadzabe tribe (one of the oldest tribes in Africa!). \n\n### Enjoy a full day game drive in the magical Ngorongoro Crater\n\nNgorongoro Crater - This day you will enjoy a full day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, worlds largest intact volcanic caldera. This is the best park to get the chance to spot the Big 5!\n\nNothing can prepare you for the breathtaking beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater. When you stand at the lookout and gaze into the crater, the clouds hovering around the tip of the rim and the cool mountain breeze in the air, will make you discover the true power and divinity of Mother Nature. This visit to the crater will probably be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. Due to the natural rims of the crater, there is an abundance of wildlife throughout the conservation area that is home to the Big Five.\n\n### End of your safari adventure, transfer back to Arusha.\n\nKaratu - Today, after breakfast, your driver guide will be ready to bring you back to Arusha, which is more or less a 3 hour drive away.\n\nArusha - Once arriving in Arusha, your driver guide will drop you off in the center of Arusha, your place of stay or the airport.

An unforgettable experience - The safaris organized by Paradise and Wildernes at the end of January/beginning of February were an indescribable experience. Thanks to the excellent driver Justin and the friendly, German-speaking guide Hamis Abdul, we were able to see a variety of animals: the "Big Five", giraffes, herds of zebras, wildebeests, flamingos, monkeys, antelopes, hippos...... and take unforgettable impressions home with us. The days that followed in Zanzibar at the "Dream of Zanzibar" hotel were a lovely end to the trip.

Lots of animal sightings, great route - This tour was included in a package tour from the tour operator Eurotours. The travel time at the end of January/beginning of February was ideal for animal sightings - especially in the South Serengeti/Ndutu plain with the large herd migrations. Our driver did an excellent job, as the journeys through the partially muddy ground were a challenge. Together with the young, committed tour guide Hamis Abdul, the two made a good team. Hamis is diligently learning German and is happy to be taught by his guests 😊

Amazing - The trip was extraordinary- we saw so much more than we expected. Your driver, Stanley, made our safari so special. He knew all plants and animals (and even spotted them all the time while driving) and his kind and caring way made us feel very comfortable. Thank you Stan, without you it would have been half the fun!

Great Safari week with our guide Khalid - We did a 7 day (partially customised) Safari that went through Terengire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. The parks are just amazing, with an enormous number of animals everywhere. Only negative point of the trip was a 2 days (1up, 1 down) from center Serengeti to north and back. As it was not the right period, those places were pretty empty. Be sure to check carefully when you plan the trip and challenge your sales representative in order to have the best options for it. We were also glad that the travel office proposed to rearrange our day to Ngorongoro to be on a morning (as first activity) and not at the end of the really long (and really bumpy) road back to Lake Manyara, as it was originally planned. In all lodges people were extremely nice, kind and helpful. Most of them are really close to beautiful views and nature. This would have been a 4 stars review, but the 5th star is all because of our guide Khalid Talib. He was really knowledgeable of all wildlife, willing to answer all questions, sharing all his knowledge about wildlife and Maasai culture. He exceeded our expectations and he went the extra mile to try to show us what we wanted to see (especially the last minute leopard). If we have the chance to come back, we’ll definitely ask for him!

Excellent experience and adventure - We had simply put the best Safari with our Guide Shabani. We did a seven day tour which included Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and ngorogoro crater. We filled this with a week in Zanzibar. The Safari was excellent and Shabani was full of information and able to give us loads of knowledge on the animals as well as local culture and traditions. It was a very personalised experience. Would highly recommend Shabani and beach and safari to anybody booking a Tanzanian adventure.
