Highlights

KILIMANJARO AIRPORT | SPRINGLANDS HOTEL

Moshi - Arrive at the Airport. After clearing customs, look for your driver. They will be waiting for you, holding a sign with your name. Your driver will transport you to your Hotel

LAKE MANYARA | HIGHVIEW HOTEL

Lake Manyara National Park - This morning, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Set against the steep escarpment of the Rift Valley, you’ll find Lake Manyara National Park with its evergreen groundwater forest and variety of ecosystems, including acacia woodland, grassy plains, a swampy fan delta, and – of course – the expansive lake. This diversity attracts various mammal, bird, and wildlife species. Manyara is also home to rare tree-climbing lions. The park offers excellent game viewing with buffalo, impala, giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, hippos, and many elephants roaming near the lake. Also, look out for blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and very active olive baboons.

SERENGETI | IKOMA WILD CAMP / SERENGETI WILD CAMP / SERENGETI WILDEBEEST CAMP

Serengeti National Park - Head out after breakfast for a drive to Serengeti National Park. The word “Serengeti” is derived from the Maasai language, meaning “endless plain.” En route to the Serengeti, you can visit Masaai Village, a perfect place to explore Maasai culture and even participate in tribal activities. Or visit Olduvai Gorge, known as the Cradle of Humanity. The museum is a testament to the long journey that humanity has made, from its humble roots in East Africa to its current state as the dominant species on Earth. Enjoy a game drive en route to your camp.

SERENGETI - NGORONGORO | NGORONGORO WILD CAMP

Serengeti National Park - Half-day game drive in Serengeti National Park – unequaled for its beauty and home to the Great Wildebeest Migration. The vast herds of plains game, such as wildebeest, zebra, and antelope, dominate the park, while the attendant predators, such as lion and cheetah, are to be found amongst the many kopjes scattered across the plain. Its landscape varies from open grass plains in the south, savanna with scattered acacia trees in the center, hilly, wooded grassland in the north, to extensive woodland and black clay plains to the west. Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation area (en route game drive)

NGORONGORO | HIGHVIEW HOTEL

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Enjoy a morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In the afternoon, enjoy a walking safari in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a Park Ranger, enjoy the views, and behold the wonders of this crater.

MTO WA MBU | HIGHVIEW HOTEL

Ngorongoro Crater - Early risers are rewarded with breath-taking views of the rising sun over the crater’s edge and, after a hearty breakfast, you will drive down the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO world heritage site, one of the seven wonders of Africa and most incredible ecosystems on Earth, formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano, is 610 m deep and covers roughly around 260 square kilometres. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25 000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In matter of minutes you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass. After lunch you will ascend the steep walls of the crater and head to mto wa mbu for short tour.

Mto wa Mbu - After breakfast, depart for a half-day cultural tour at Mto wa Mbu. This small village is in the Great Rift Valley, north of Lake Manyara, right at the Lake Manyara National Park entrance. Enjoy a day filled with cultural activities, and enjoy:
Chagga tribe banana beer tasting
Makonde tribe ebony wood carving
Traditional local lunch
Visit a banana farm or a rice farm
Visit fruits and vegetable market
In the late afternoon, drive to your hotel for your overnight stay.

TARANGIRE | DEPARTURE

Tarangire National Park - The drive from the Highview Hotel to Tarangire National Park takes about two hours. This park is spectacular in the dry season when many migratory wildlife species return to the Tarangire River’s permanent waters. Vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rain when they migrate again to good grazing areas. In the afternoon, drop off at the airport for your departure. After a half day in Tarangire you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled departure flight.

Much more than game drives - We are very impressed with the way Patrick arranged everything regarding our trip. His advice when creating our itinerary was very helpful and enriched our ultimate experience. The opted for luxury camp accommodations to enhance the comfort level of our evenings and quality of food, and boy this was an excellent decision. We really enjoyed the rich diversity of the parks we visited with Mariko our guide. He knew about each and every animal species that we encountered. I have been on other trips but this one surpassed all the others in the overall experience.

Incredible safari trip - We finally did our safari trip to Tanzania and it was amazing. Marko is an incredible guide, he knew everything about safari and Tanzania. We visited Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We saw all the Big 5, many other animals including birds. We are happy with the hotels we were booked in. We also visited a Maasai homestead in Ngorongoro where they live in harmony with the wildlife. The trip went perfectly and we had a fantastic time.

ust Amazing - I definitely would love to return to Tanzania for another dose of Africa adventure. Kileo of World Adventure Tours did it for us, his charm and wit made the tour so much fun. He took us to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro as our private driver and guide. The swanky 4x4 Landcruiser was great, comfortable and with room to spare. Seeing the great wildebeest migration, lions, elephants, rhinos and ...... in their natural habitat was a dream come true. Patrick somehow got passed the word about my birthday to Serengeti Wild Camp, because they surprised us with a wedding cake over dinner. The happy birthday song was so funny with the chefs and waters drumming on the pots... Just amazing
