PICK UP FROM THE AIRPORT / CITY TOUR CUSCO IN THE AFTERNOON

Coricancha -

• A Runas Trip Peru representative will greet you upon your arrival at the Cusco airport and escort you to your hotel.
• The morning will be at your leisure.
• The city tour commences at 2:00 p.m. with a hotel pick-up. The first destination is the Temple of the Sun, or Qoricancha, a sacred Inca site showcasing exceptional stonework that has withstood earthquakes over the centuries.

Sacsayhuaman -

• Next, we travel by bus to Sacsayhuaman, 3km from Cusco, offering a stunning city view. This site features massive limestone blocks and terraces arranged in a zigzag pattern.

Jirón Qenqo -

• Our journey continues to Qenqo, or ‘labyrinth,’ a site one kilometer from Sacsayhuaman with intricate stone carvings and structures used for various ceremonial purposes.

Pucapucara -

• We will then explore Puca Pucara, the ‘red fortress,’ which served as a checkpoint for the Imperial city of Cusco and marked territorial boundaries.

Tambomachay -

• Our final stop is Tambomachay, 9 km from Cusco, known as the ‘Inca Baths’ for its water sources. It is also part of the Inca trail leading to Machupicchu. The tour concludes around 6:30 p.m.
