What an experience!! - Had an absolute great time, saw so many amazing sites, and had experiences we won’t forget. From initial correspondence everything was professional- with very quick communication via WhatsApp and email. Everything was taken care of without any issues. Our vacation was planned out perfectly with a personal guide and driver—had no Concerns. Guides were great, full of information not only about ancient Egypt and modern Egypt. They give you the best recommendations on extra side trips, where to eat, customs of the area etc Drivers were professional, on time, and safe. Lodging was nice and meals were more than enough to satisfy most people Highly recommend this tour company and this tour. Five stars.

Review of my 7 day trip - This trip has been nothing short of extraordinary. From arriving in Cairo it’s been extremely smooth and well put together. We (my younger brother 22years in age, myself 30yrs old) enjoyed the pyramids and Sphinx a great deal but, the real fun came once arriving to Luxor. Once we landed in Luxor we were greeted by Rocky, a very interesting and fun man to be around. He and the driver Hunni (I’m sure I didn’t spell that right, I apologize!) treated us to sugar cane juice on our way to the ship & it was delicious. Rockys English is immaculate which is very helpful, and his knowledge of the ancient Egyptians is second to none! I’ve learned so much more than I ever thought possible on this trip thanks to him. The way he tells the stories are in such good detail it’s as if there’s a Hollywood movie playing before your eyes, truly amazing! Not only does he point out and explain many many things to you at each site he makes sure you fully understand and that you leave with no questions but he does so in such a manner that it feels as if you’ve added another friend to your group. In the 3 days we’ve spent together he’s saved me well over $150 by negotiating better deals for me while purchasing items & making sure that the quality is up to par! It’s easy to say that he’s been a blessing to us on this trip. My brother and I have felt very safe and well taken care of on this trip and created many memories and made what we hope to be a life long friend with Rocky!! We’ve stayed up on the ship drinking various teas and listening to him tell stories of Egypt past and present as well as sat in local coffee shops while my brother and I were enjoying shisha pipes he would tell us great stories of his past adventures that are so amazing that you almost hate for them to end! In closing I’ll say that this trip has been extremely great and so much of that is in part to Rocky so for him making this once in a lifetime experience even better I am extremely grateful! If you’re able to have Rocky as your guide be prepared to laugh plenty and make a new friend along with expanding your knowledge of all things Egypt! Thanks again rocky and I hope our paths will cross again my friend!!

A Stunning Overview of Ancient Egypt - Our two guides, Mohammed and Refaye, were outstanding. They are trained Egyptologists and over the course of the week provided us with details and insights into the development of the most remarkable 3,000 year civilization of Ancient Egypt. They are also expert in navigating around the large numbers of tour groups who visit the sights. Be sure to ask them for guidance with food and drink and how do deal with the baksheesh system of tipping for every small service. Overall, the tour was very coordinated in a country that at times seems dramatic and chaotic. We thoroughly recommend this tour.

Excellent way to see the highlights - My husband and I just returned from a wonderful Egyptian holiday. We saw the highlights as promised (need a return to trip to get a bit more off the beaten path!), and felt well taken care of along the way. Our guide for Cairo-area (including Giza and Saqqara) attractions, Moh Sobhi, was generous with his knowledge, as well as good-humored and patient. Our guide for the Luxor-to-Aswan portion of the trip, Anton, clearly loves his subject, and was a thorough and passionate guide through the many temples and even city tours along the way. At the end of our first day, we were given a menu of options for add-on activities (sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Nile, visit to Abu Simbel, boat ride to a Nubian village, and others). We knew from several months ago that we wanted to do many of these activities, and they did not disappoint us! The only suggestion we would make would be to allow some way for tourists to bundle the cost of these activities with the base package, so that they could be paid ahead of time by card. Working ATMs are not always easy to come by, so getting sufficient cash for the extra activities, plus getting out enough for the additional ticket purchases, added some unnecessary difficulty to the trip. Otherwise, we have no complaints. We got the trip we wanted, learned even more than we expected, and met lots of wonderful people along the way! I would recommend Explore Plus to other travelers.

Trip of a lifetime! - We had an amazing trip with Egypt Deals/Explore Plus! Everything was very well organized, and at a very reasonable price. Salah sent us our itinerary and plenty of optional tours to choose from ahead of time. It was really nice to have everything - the domestic flights, tours, transfers, and cruise - all in one package, so there is no need to worry about any details. Hedra picked us up from the airport and helped us get our visa on arrival, and it was very easy thanks to him. There was a van with air conditioning and very comfortable seating waiting to take us to our hotel. We stayed at the Hilton Ramses, which has a great location right across the street from the Egyptian Museum. Mo Sobhy met us at the hotel and went through the tour itinerary, helped us set up our optional tours, and gave us a brief overview of Egyptian history. He was a fantastic guide throughout our time in Cairo and very patient with all of us, and was very accommodating with anything we needed along the way. Our Nile cruise was also amazing, and every stop along the way was more beautiful than the next. Our guide, Mohamed, picked us up in Luxor and stayed with us on the cruise the whole way to Luxor, so it was great to have him along for the ride the whole time. The cruise ship itself was very comfortable and clean, and the food was delicious! Upon our return to Cairo, we had enough time to do some more optional tours and a bit of exploring on our own until it was time to head home. We had a wonderful time and absolutely loved Egypt, its awe-inspiring history, and kind, welcoming people. Take this trip, you will not regret it!

Great discovery of Egypt and a cruise on a souless boat - My wife and I had a fascinating time discovering Egypt. The tour company was great, professional with outstanding knowledgeable guides. Sadly the boat for the cruise was tired, desperately needing re-paint and without a soul, lacking attention to detail and so many things needing to be fixed, eg: it took me four tries before I could find a sunlounger that was not broken. Still, we had a great time, thanks to our knowledgeable tour guide Antoun (Tony) and the magic of Ancient Egypt. We highly recommend this tour operator but make sure that you don't sail on The Nile Dolphin. The other irritating point was the constant request for the expected large tips for the daily drivers, tour guides and anyone else we had to deal with... a constant pain. The highlight of our trip was the Hot Air Balloon ride in Luxor...sensational and memorable!

Good at omitting things and push you to write a good review - Upsides: -the WhatsApp contact was available every time we needed it -there was always someone to pick up you at the airport -the guides are people who know about the topic Downsides: -on behalf of the agency, we have been pushed to write a good review in this website in front of one member of the staff (which, as you can see, we have rejected) -all the excursions are in a rush (you could only expect to spend a couple of minutes in those gorgeous places to "take a picture" as if that were the only thing that matters) -read carefully what is included!!! Some of the most important sight-seeings are not included (like Abu Simbel, Karnak and Luxor temples) -when it says "tipping is not included" it translates as neither your driver nor the guide are properly paid (even though the excursions are pretty expensive). They will be completely pissed off (and they could also apply pressure on you) if each person doesn't give at least a couple of dollars per attraction to each of them. THIS IS NOT THEIR FAULT!! IT SEEMS THEIR CUT IS RIDICULOUSLY SMALL COMPARED TO THE BENEFIT THE AGENCY GETS!! -we were exhausted of trying to be persuaded of booking as many activities as they could fit in our schedule (they made us feel we were not allowed to say no) -even when there was never time enough to enjoy the attraction we were at, they would always find a gap to set you in a shop for a demonstration of either parfum, stones, whatever... in order to press you for buying stuff It's a country in which many people are in need. We would have preferred to spend much more money in tipping if we wouldn't have been robbed by the prices of the agency as we feel we have been.
