Highlights

SAN CRISTOBAL – FREE AFTERNOON

El Puerto - Today you will arrive to the airport of San Cristobal, one of the Galapagos Islands. You will be picked up at the airport and transferred by private transport with an English speaking contact person to your hotel in the town Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore the town, or walk to the interpretation center, the beaches or Tijeretas.

KICKER ROCK

Kicker Rock - Today you will have a day tour to Kicker Rock, your first activity in the Galapagos Multisport adventure. Here you will be able to spot different shark species (sometimes even hammerheads!), turtles, rays, and more. In some seasons you might encounter jellyfish which can sting, however a wetsuit will be provided when this is the case. After snorkeling you will continue to Manglecito or a similar beach. This white coral beach offers the opportunity to walk around and relax and swim in shallow waters before returning to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. You will have a box lunch on board.

  • It is also possible to dive at Kicker Rock (two immersion) if you have your PADI certificate (+ $ 80) including equipment.

SAN CRISTOBAL PADDLE BOARDING – PM BOAT TO SANTA CRUZ

Playa Mann - In the morning you will have a paddle boarding excursion around Playa Mann. Here you will sea lions and it is the perfect way of disconnecting. After this sporty activity you have time to go to the Loberia or Tijeretas by yourself (small hikes of about 20 minutes). In the afternoon at 3 PM you take the public speedboat to Puerto Ayora, where you will arrive around 5.30 PM.

SANTA FE

Santa Fe Island - Brace yourself for an encounter unlike any other. Today you will either visit Santa Fe or Pinzon Islands. This will depend on the Galapagos National Park Regulations and will be decided on the day the tour operates.

If you visit Santa Fe, you will discover a pristine bay with crystal-clear waters for a thrilling snorkeling adventure. Following this, a wet landing awaits at Playa Escondida or the Garrapatero Beach on Santa Cruz Island, giving you ample time to explore this mesmerizing beach.

Alternatively, the Pinzon Island tour unveils an amazing display of marine iguanas and playful sea lions. La Fe, is a picturesque beach cradled by mangroves and rocky terrain, showcasing an array of captivating marine life from sea turtles to small sharks and colorful fish. During this specific day tour, you will also have the opportunity to experience “Pezca Vivencial” which is translated as “experiential fishing” focused on the enjoyment and personal connection, rather than just the catch.

SANTA CRUZ BIKING HIGHLANDS – PLAYA GARRAPATERO

El Garrapatero - Today you will have full mountain biking day with an English speaking guide. You start in Puerto Ayora and you will go the highlands of Santa Cruz to see the giant tortoises in their natural habitat. After a short visit to one of the ranches where you can come very close the giant tortoises you will bike to the Garrapatero beach. Here you can enjoy a refreshing dive into the sea. From here you will bike back to Puerto Ayora.

SNORKELING IN LOS TÚNELES

Los Tuneles - Early in the morning (7AM) you take the public speedboat to Isabela island. Upon arrival you have time to drop your luggage in the hotel and after that you’re off to the Los Tuneles excursion. About 45 minutes by boat from the dock you will find Los Tuneles. Together with your bilingual guide you will walk through this incredible landscape and you will have the opportunity to see blue footed boobies, sea lions, penguins and the landscapes. Then you will head to El Finado, just 10 minutes from Los Tuneles. El Finado is one of the most spectacular places for snorkeling in Isabela as the water is shallow, clear and calm, giving us chance to see sea horses, parrot fish, hog fish, wrasses, in their mysterious habitat. In the early afternoon you will return to Puerto Villamil.

KAYAK PUERTO VILLAMIL - BIKING WETLANDS SELF GUIDED

Playa Puerto Villamil - Today you have two activities; you go biking to the “Muro de las Lagrimas”/”Wall of Tears” by yourself and you go kayaking around Los Tintoreras and Puerto Villamil with a guide. The kayaking trip takes around 2-3 hours and in the afternoon you will have your bike to get to the “Muro de las Lagrimas”. This route is beautiful with beach view, chance to see Flamingo’s at the lagoons and of course the chance to see giant tortoises next to the dirt road that takes you to the Wall of Tears.

Rebecca Travel is outstanding and organized a magical and memorable experience for us - An amazing trip and Rebecca did an outstanding job organizing everything for us. We picked Rebecca since it is a smaller company that hires local people. Before our trip, we were wondering if we should have bit the bullet and paid for a cruise. We are so happy that we did the land option instead. Why? 1. you have time on your own to stroll around the islands and discover on your own. 2. experience locally owned restaurants for dinner and lunch/snacks/drinks. 3. Meet a variety of different people since your itinerary is based on you as opposed to a large group. 4. Stay in locally owned accommodations Lodging: The three hotels we stayed in were clean, friendly, breakfast provided and provided purified drinking water. Casa de Nelly (San Cristobel) Hotel Coloma (Santa Cruz) Hotel San Vincent (Isabella) Hot water, good water pressure Body wash and shampoo provided Fridges in most rooms Clean beds/sheets Comfortable pillows Air conditioning Helpful and knowledgeable staff Each hotel was locally owned with a sense of pride, a nice change from large chain hotels. Tours: Kicker Rock Kayaking Paddle boarding Los Tuneles Mountain Biking Tortoise breeding centre Sierra Negro All tours were outstanding. Well organized, passionate and friendly guides. Family friendly. We can’t say enough about the tours Rebecca organized for us. Rebecca was very responsive to our questions. Each afternoon Carlos sent us a message via What’s App regarding the next day’s itinerary along with what to bring for the excursion. We met people who were in other tour groups and they did not receive the same experiences as we did on the tours organized through Rebecca. Examples to name a few: Isabela Island - Sierra Negro hike. Our guide provided hiking poles and purified water/lunch was provided after our hike. We were also taken to a local produce farm. After speaking to people who hiked with a different company, hiking poles and water was not provided, nor did they visit a farm to taste different fruits. Snorkelling Los Tuneles: Amazing guide and Captain - he videoed the snorkelling excursion so we could bring home memories of sea life - we met others who went to Los Tuneles and they did not get this added touch of the videos. Transportation: Rebecca organized our ferry rides between the islands thank goodness and someone representing Rebecca met us at each pier helping us to embark or disembark. They were really helpful and all knew our itinerary. We were so pleased with Rebecca Travel and would highly recommend this company to help organize your trip to the Galapagos.

Great trip, full of attractions - Really enjoyed our trip with Rebecca Travel. The hotels were very nice, the activities really good and everything was organised well (well, almost everything - more on that later). Everything was on time and we didn't have to worry about organising anything. All the excursions were great, with very knowledgeable and friendly guides. They all spoke English very well. The only suggestion I would have is to improve the communication a bit. On the first island we were met by a representative who told us what exactly we will do in the next couple of days, what time will we be picked up etc. We were missing that on the next two islands, we just had to rely on the itenerary which was not perfect - on one day we were supposed to have a self guided cycle tour, instead we had a guided hike. Not a massive issue, as it was probably an even better activity - as I said, the guides were awesome. But we would at least prepare better (proper boots). All in all, a great trip, highly recommend!

Land Tour - We normally do not do guided trips, but I am so glad we chose Rebecca Travel. There are a lot of logistics getting around the Galapagos and it was so much easier to have them coordinate a land trip. They customized the trip we wanted. The guides were really nice and easy going. There is so much to learn from them and I’m glad they were there to give as much information as possible. I also felt the price was very good for what was included - hikes, scuba, snorkel, lunches, snacks, nice hotels, etc. This was truly one of the best trips we ever had and besides the beauty of the islands, it was also due to Karina and the team at Rebecca Travel.
