From Entebbe transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Wildlife Ranch

Rhino Fund Uganda - Start your day with an early breakfast at your hotel, followed by a meet and greet with your guide driver. After a brief orientation, you’ll transfer to the Ziwa Rhino & Wildlife Ranch. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a rhino tracking adventure, experiencing one of Africa’s Big Five on foot. Established in 2005 to reintroduce Southern White Rhinos into the wild, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see these endangered animals in their natural habitat. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at the sanctuary, with the possibility of rhinos or other wildlife like antelopes and warthogs visiting the restaurant area. Later in the afternoon, you’ll transfer to Masindi for an overnight stay at Masindi Kolping Hotel or a similar accommodation.

Chimpanzee Trekking Budongo Forest, Murchison Falls National Park.

Budongo Forest Chimpanzee Tracking - After an early breakfast, you’ll transfer to Budongo Forest for chimpanzee tracking. Guided by knowledgeable ranger guides, you’ll trek through the forest, spotting various tree species like mahogany, as well as monkeys, snakes, and birds. After the trek, you’ll head to the famous Murchison Falls to witness the Victoria Nile forcing itself through a narrow crevice before plunging 43 meters down. Continue to Paraa, and if time permits, enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge. Overnight at Gipir & Labongo Safari Lodge or a similar accommodation.

Murchison Falls National Park - The Murchison Falls in Murchison Falls National Park are both impressive and spectacular. After rhino trekking, you’ll proceed to the top of the falls for the best viewing spot, spending about 1-2 hours there. Afterwards, you’ll head to Murchison Falls for a brief game drive before checking into your lodge.

Game Drive & Boat Cruise Safari Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park - Begin your day with an early breakfast before setting out on a morning game drive in the peninsula between the Victoria and Lake Albert Nile. This area boasts the highest concentration of wildlife in Murchison Falls. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise to the base of the majestic Murchison Falls, where the earth trembles from the power of the falls. Watch crocodiles basking in the sun with their jaws wide open before returning to your lodge. Overnight at Gipir & Labongo Safari Lodge or a similar accommodation.

Murchison Falls National Park – Kidepo Valley National Park

Kidepo Valley National Park - After an early breakfast, you’ll journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. Upon arrival, if time allows, you’ll embark on an evening game drive. Kidepo Valley National Park is home to unique wildlife not found elsewhere in Uganda, making it a prime location for wildlife viewing. This untouched park offers a wealth of experiences for tourists. Overnight at Kidepo Savanna Lodge or a similar accommodation.

Wildlife Safari to Narus Valley, Kidepo Valley National Park

Kidepo Valley National Park - After an early breakfast, set off for a 2 to 3-hour morning game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park. This park is one of the best places in Uganda to see big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. While the focus will be on spotting these cats, there will also be opportunities to see other big game. Return to the hotel for lunch and relaxation before the afternoon activities. In the afternoon, visit the Karamojong for a cultural experience and enjoy another game drive filled with wildlife sightings. Overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge.

Game drive to Kidepo Valley & Hot Springs.

Kidepo Valley National Park - Spend a full day on a game drive to Kidepo Valley and the hot springs near the Ugandan border with South Sudan. Highlights include sightings of ostriches, hot springs, and other wildlife in the park. Return to the lodge to conclude the day. Overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge.

Kalamojong community and transfer to Gulu.

Gulu - After breakfast, join a local community guide for a traditional Kalamojong experience, followed by a transfer to Gulu City. The Kalamojong culture is rich and unique, similar to the Masai people of Kenya and Tanzania, known for their pastoral lifestyle. They use a variety of traditional instruments like jewelry, spears, stools, bows, knives, and beads. Overnight at Acholi Inn or a similar accommodation.

From Gulu transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe.

Entebbe Crafts Village - After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll begin your journey south back to Kampala, marking the end of your 8-day Kidepo Valley NP & Murchison Falls NP Budget Tour. Your guide will drop you off at your planned hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, or transfer you to the airport for your outbound flight.
