Nairobi - Masai Mara National park
Maasai Mara National Reserve - After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel between 7:00 and 8:00 am and driven west to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. You’ll have lunch en route and arrive in time for an evening game drive. The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuary, home to over 450 species of animals, including many migrants. While July, August, and September are peak months for witnessing the migration of wildebeest and zebra, the reserve boasts year-round resident wildlife. The Maasai tribespeople also inhabit the dispersal area of the reserve. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp, which features hot showers and flush toilets.
Masai Mara full game drive
Maasai Mara National Reserve - After breakfast, you’ll embark on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape is characterized by scenic savannah grasslands and rolling hills. The reserve is renowned as Kenya’s best park for game viewing, thanks to its extensive road and track network that allows for close-range viewing and photography. You’ll break for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool, where you can watch for hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Masai Mara - Nairobi
Nairobi - Start your day with an early pre-breakfast game drive in the savannah grasslands. Afterward, you’ll return to the camp for a full breakfast before departing for Nairobi. You’ll have lunch en route and arrive in the evening, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
Nairobi - Arusha
Arusha - Depart from Nairobi in the morning via shuttle to Arusha. You’ll arrive at the Namanga Border for immigration procedures before continuing to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon. Check into your hotel, which is booked on a bed-and-breakfast basis, and spend the night in Arusha town.
Arusha - Manyara
Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and depart for Lake Manyara, with lunch en route. Upon arrival, you’ll go on a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite.
Manyara - Ngorongoro
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, you’ll descend 2,000 feet (670 meters) into the crater floor with your picnic lunches. You’ll spend the full day in the park, with a lunch break at the Ngoitoktok Springs picnic site. The main crater spans 165 kilometers and is home to a variety of species, including black-maned lions, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, and other grazing animals. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the campsite.
Ngorongoro - Arusha
Arusha - After breakfast and a final game drive, you’ll leave Ngorongoro for Olduvai Gorge. You’ll have lunch at the Gorge Museum and then visit various sites in the gorge to see where the remains of prehistoric man were discovered by the famous archaeologist Dr. L.S.B. Leakey. You’ll then proceed to Arusha for an overnight stay. (Dinner is on your own).
Arusha - Nairobi
Nairobi - After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and dropped off at the airport to connect to a flight to Zanzibar for a beach safari, or you’ll be dropped off at the shuttle bus to return to Nairobi, where you’ll be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight home.
