- 5 Bd Nicolas François Billecart - Be welcomed at 10:30am in Mareuil-sur-Ay at a typical Champagne House in the middle of Champagne vineyards (Le Clos Corbier). During the visit of the cellars dug in the 1850’s, you will start with the discovery of a traditional press and learn all about the secrets of the champagne making process. Take a seat and enjoy your tasting class with a champagne quiz then train your nose to identify the different aromas and flavors that can be found in champagne through an olfactory workshop. Get competitive as you get to identify blindly 3 different champagnes from small wineries all while eating some local snacks. Immerse yourself into the french lifestyle with a casual lunch which consists of homemade regional specialties like pâté en croute, Langres, or pink biscuit cake paired with a variety of champagnes. You will also get to taste the local red wine Coteaux Champenois as well as the regional liquor Ratafia. (the lunch can be adapted to allergies or specific diets). Your Champagne experience ends after lunch around 01:30pm.

A great experience - An experience with many good impressions that bring the champagne and its formation close. The subsequent meal successfully completes the visit. Super nice guide!

Great way to learn about Champagne - We received a tour of a small champagne producer including an excellent explanation of the champagne making process, followed by a quizz which was a lot of fun. We then did a tasting of three champagnes, complete with aroma test and taste test. Again, a lot of fun and we learned something about champagne as well. This was followed by a very tasty lunch that was accompanied by more champagne and the local digestif, ratafia. The total tour lasted three hours at a single winery and we would say it was a very worthwhile experience, both educational and fun.

Champagne tasting and nice lunch - Small scale champagne chateau. Very nice and personal experience giving a good basic lesson about champagne. And during lunch we met some other nice people.

Champagne tasting at Clos Corbièr Epernay - Much information of Champagne making, good guide and great food with exellent wine tasting. We travelled from Paris by train and it was very convinient. It took only 1 h and 17 minutes from Paris.

Fantastic introduction to champagne - We feel extremely lucky to have booked this tour - the amount of information of the history and traditional method for making champagne was spot on. The tasting, identifying the blending smells and questions at the end was thoroughly enjoyable! We learnt a lot!! This was followed by a delicious lunch. Brilliant and a fantastic price - you won’t regret this!!

Very individual and relaxed. - Beautiful ambience. A family winery under reconstruction. The tasting course was very educational. Mathias led our small group very nicely in English and answered questions individually. Super tasty lunch, although there was only 1 glass of champagne and 1 glass of red wine, also from Champagne. Absolutely recommended if you don't need the luxury feeling of huge companies like Moet.

Memorable Champagne Tasting & Tour - The tour and champagne tasting were great. Charlotte explained everything about Champagne in detail. It was a pleasant and memorable experience. The cheeses were very nice, but we did not like the other food very much. We loved the Blanc de Blanc!
