Great memory for short A Coruna stay - I’m in A Coruna for two days and felt this would be a great way to meet some locals, meet travelers from other places, learn about the area and just enjoy. It was a total pleasure to experience David and Anna’s warm hospitality and cooking lesson. Irish, German and me the American made a lovely group. Much fun.

Memorable - Exceptional experience. Visit to the Point of Sale supervised by David, was fantastic. Then we went back to the kitchen workshop and cooked all our purchases. We especially tasted this little seafood “Percebe” very $$$ and that Galicians eat at Christmas only, tapas, mussels, everything was remarkably delicious. I strongly suggest this unique experience. Thank you David and Ana.

Amazing experience filled with food, passion & laughs! - There isn’t enough character spaces to comment on how great this was. Ana & David were amazing hosts with so much attention to detail and a passion behind their mission of teaching elements of Spanish cooking by teaching not just how but why. The paella event was a blast and so much delicious food for the group to enjoy. The market walk was very informative and made you feel like you were a local. One of our attendees has a fish allergy and they completely went above & beyond making a non-fish based option with even special broth to ensure their experience was equally memorable in making their own paella & being part of the entire experience. Ana & David are great, their place is super cute and I would 100% frequent them regularly if I lived in La Coruña. 10 stars + fireworks. Will highly recommend to others.

Delightful and delicious! - David and Ana were perfect hosts and made this a fun and delicious experience. They are so welcoming as well as their adorable shop and event space. I appreciate how helpful (and patient) they were in helping us navigate the train from another city.

An amazing experience and meal! - What an amazing afternoon with this couple who used food to help tell the story of Spain, its culture and people! Both David and Ana were kind, knowledgeable and kept us engaged with not only the how but also the why of the food prep. Going to the local market and selecting the seafood, cheese and bread was an adventure within itself and great fun. And the meal (read feast) we had wan soooo delicious! I hope everyone gets a chance to spend an afternoon with David and Ana at Pencil & Fork

Fantastic market-to-table experience - We always look forward to a culinary class experience with locals when we travel around the globe. Today’s market-to-table lunch at Pencil and Fork was an amazing experience. We shared the kitchen/dining experience with a couple from Long Island and our hosts, David and Ana. Our day was filled with delicious food, wonderful wine and great conversations. Mary Jo baked this delicious almond cake for our dessert! If you’re looking for a great experience in A Coruña, check out Pencil and Fork

Highly recommend!!! - We recently attended the Market and Cooking Class with David and Ana at Pencil and Fork, and it was a fantastic experience! The day began with a visit to the local market, where we had the opportunity to see and select fresh ingredients. David and Ana were excellent guides, providing insights into the best produce and sharing their passion for food. After gathering our ingredients, we headed to the cooking class where we prepared a delicious meal that included paella, a wonderful appetizer, a fresh tomato salad, and almond cake for dessert. David and Ana's instructions were clear and engaging, making the cooking process enjoyable and educational. The hands-on experience, combined with the friendly and knowledgeable guidance from David and Ana, made this class truly special. If you're looking to immerse yourself in the local culinary culture and learn to cook an amazing meal, I highly recommend the Market and Cooking Class at Pencil and Fork.

Nice afternoon! - The hosts are delightful people and their facility is terrific. We had a lovely afternoon and appreciated the small group size (6 students, 2 instructors). Food safety/hygiene raised some red flags (how raw meats were handled, shrimp were not cleaned or deveined, etc) and we would've loved to see individual spices vs a packaged seasoning mix for the paella. We had alot of fun but unfortunately didn't feel that we learned anything about Spanish cooking.
