Fun hike through the night forest - Great time - the guide was pleasant and entertaining, and explained things as we were walking. Of course this isn't a zoo, so the wildlife could be hit or miss, but we saw a good variety of birds/mammals/reptiles/insects. One of the highlights was stopping on a clear hillside, turning the lights off, and seeing the beautiful, starry night sky spread out in front of us. Highly recommended!

Best night hike option in the Monteverde area - Worth the 15 min drive in the dark from Monteverde town center. Saw several kinkajous, a Mexican porcupine, 2 armadillos, an eyelash viper, and several sleeping birds. Clear night with many stars and Jupiter with its moon in the sky. Also got to taste their artisanal coffee and learn how it was farmed, peeled, roasted, etc. Our guide was the coffee farmer and so fun, friendly and knowledgeable about everything from the plants to the animals to the astronomy of the night. We are nature lovers who did several guided hikes in the area, including 2 night hikes. This was the best one.

Amazing night walk! - My friend and I really enjoyed this night walk experience. Junior was such a great guide, sharing his endless knowledge and making us giggle the whole way. We saw a sloth super up close with her baby!!! An armadillo, a baby viper, and lots and lots of birds and frogs! I highly recommend booking this experience. It was the perfect addition to our trip. Thank you, Junior!

Junior is a star! - Junior was an incredible guide for this experience. We saw so many animals and he took his time to find them all and tell us all about them. The sights included two sloths, two armadillos, an opossom, a tarantula, bugs, frogs and two eyelash pit vipers. We also spotted an elusive puma (I mean house cat...). Could not recommend this tour enough.

Best night tour in monteverde - Junior could not have been a better tour guide. We had so much fun with him and such an enriching experience. He went above and beyond to show us so much and teach us even about coffee making process. He and his business partner are such kind good people. I highly recommend this night tour- it is local, small, intimate and we thoroughly loved it. Would book 100x again. We are so appreciative. Their coffee is amazing too- highly recommend buying a bag. We saw a baby and mom sloth, snakes, bugs, frogs, armadillos, toucans sleeping, gazed at the stars. Muchas gracias por todo!!!

Cafe Ancestor coffee and night tour - Our family booked a coffee tour and night tour. It was great. We connected with Greyvin for transportation from our hotel. I would definitely recommend getting transportation given the small roads in the mountains and driving at night. The coffee tour was great with a ton of information on the process. We visited the farm, got to press some cane juice which tasted fantastic. We tasted different types of coffee and my kids loved buoyed making and tasting the chocolate over some fresh pineapple. The night tour was also nice, we saw a tarantula, scorpion, 2 viper snakes, a sleeping toucan and a couple different frog species. Our guides were Junior and his daughter Crystal. They were great. Would recommend.
