• reach Montegrotto Terme by train. The railway station “Terme Euganee Abano-Montegrotto” is located in Montegrotto Terme (near the Euganean Hills), and is connected to Padua (in 10 minutes) Venice (in 45 minutes) Verona (in 1.5 hours) Treviso (1 hour) and Bologna (1.5 hours) by train.

• Parco Regionale dei Colli Euganei - The Euganean Hills are a group of hills of volcanic origin that rise to heights of 300 to 600 m from the Paduan - Venetian plain a few kilometres south of Venice. Here you will find beautiful landscapes of vineyards and olive groves, alternating with castles, villas and small medieval villages. You can discover this beautiful landscape by following the easy cycle paths in the area.

DEPARTURE FROM PADUA OR ABANO / MONTEGROTTO TERME
Embark on a tour to Cittadella, where you can stroll along the ancient walls that once served as an impenetrable barrier for medieval armies. These walls boast an average thickness of 2.10 meters and feature four access gates aligned with the cardinal directions: Porta Padovana, Porta Bassanese, Porta Trevisana, and Porta Vicentina, each named after the city they face.

Upon descending into the city center, you will have the opportunity to admire its significant monuments: the Captain’s House, home to the Captain of the Guards, adorned with original 16th-century frescoes; the Tower of Malta, infamous for the gruesome tortures during the reign of the tyrant Ezzelino III da Romano, even mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy; the Praetorian Palace, the former seat of Padua’s city powers; the Teatro Sociale, with a façade attributed to the renowned Giuseppe Jappelli; and the Cathedral with its Art Gallery.
