- Giza Plateau - Your tour begins with a pickup from your Cairo hotel by our guide, followed by a transfer to Giza City in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Start your day by visiting the Giza Pyramids, where you’ll see the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Cheops is the largest pyramid ever constructed. Next, visit the Valley Temple, where bodies were mummified, and get a close-up view of the Sphinx, a massive funerary complex guarded by a lion’s body with the face of King Chephren. The Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx are among the world’s most famous tourist attractions, even during Roman times. Each of these magnificent structures served as the final resting place for a king of the 4th Dynasty (c.2613–2494 BC). The Great Pyramid of Giza was built for King Khufu (c.2589–2566 BC), with the other two for his son Khafre and grandson Menkaure.
- Great Sphinx - The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, stands by the vast funerary complex.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of King Khufu is a three-inch-high ivory figurine found in a later-period temple ruin at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were discovered in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Information about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents, such as the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th Dynasty.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple contained several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, and others during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.
- Old Egypt For Fine Art - Visit Old Cairo, known as Christian Coptic Cairo, one of the most significant locations visited by the Holy Family. Despite their brief stay, the spiritual impact of their presence is still felt. The Governor of what was then Fustat, enraged by the falling idols at Jesus’ approach, sought to kill the Child. They took refuge in a cave, above which the Church of Abu Serga (St. Sergious) was later built. This area, including the Fort of Babylon, is a pilgrimage destination for Egyptians and Christians worldwide. The district exudes an air of piety and devotion. You can also visit the Church of Abu-Sergah, St. Barbara, the Hanging Church, and the old Jewish synagogue, Ben Ezra Synagogue.
- Cairo Citadel - Visit the Citadel of Saladin and the Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque.
- Khan Al-Khalili - Conclude your day with a visit to the Khan El Khalili Bazaars, renowned for fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques, and more. At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to your hotel.
