Renovated and good food - We had a small problem the night we arrived but due to the time it was and how tired we were from the trip I mentioned it as we woke up the next morning. The carpet part of my bed had some suspicious black balls (later we saw that they were bread seeds), those same balls were inside the bed and a clump of hair, and on the entrance carpet the same, hairs. The next day they left my room and chamber cleaner than a whistle. The food on this boat is very good, the pool is just right, there are two elongated parts that look like fountains, they could be filled with a little more water. We have had nightly shows and dinners with two options of a la carte dishes and the final dinner was delicious along with the wonderful chocolate dessert they provided. The truth is that the room smelled great, the air conditioning was on full blast (watch for temperature changes) It has shops inside and they don't have bad prices, in case you don't want to haggle or buy from street vendors, a few of whom appear on each excursion. This boat is renovated and has some very nice wallpaper on the stairs and rooms. You have free tea and sweets on deck at 5-5:30 p.m. The drinks have bar prices in Spain and the windows are fixed, they do not open but they have great visibility. I recommend it 100%

Excellent service - What a treat to watch the Egyptian countryside during your lunch/dinner, or from the comfort of your room. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The staff was always eager to make sure everyone is happy and having a good time. I would go again for sure, especially I know they are renovating the ship in 2019. I highly recommend the Radamis group of cruise ships.

A Very Enjoyable Cruise - We took this cruise from Aswan to Luxor in January, 2018 and found that this was a very comfortable cruise. The ship could have used a little (just a little) paint here and there, but it was very, very clean and the food was excellent. We found that it was very easy to visit the sights along the way on our own, so there was no need to purchase the guidance package, which seemed rather expensive. It is important to note that when traveling from Aswan to Luxor, passengers boarded the Radamis 1 ship at the end of the Corniche just beside the KFC Restaurant across the street from the Aswan Chamber of Commerce, not far from where the public ferry runs over to Elephantine Island, below the Old Cataract Hotel. The Radamis 2 docked at an entirely different location--near the McDonalds. In Luxor, the Radamis ships dock near the bridge that crosses the Nile, rather far from the city, but people at the front desk were helpful and called us a taxi, which took into town and brought us back for a small amount. We enjoyed this cruise and would do it again.

Home away from home on Radamis - The minute i entered the cruise and then my cabin, I instantly felt at home. The cabin was nice and neat and cozy. The staff were extremely helpful, always smiling and willing to help. I am a Vegetarian and so the staff made sure I had other options to the regular menu which was mostly non-veg. I had a huge surprise on my special day which I won't ruin for others who might be in a similar situation when on the cruise ;-) :) That was the highlight for me, so personal and so welcoming and accommodating, here I was far away from home and these "strangers" of the Radamis cruise made me feel right at home. The menu was excellent, had variety (though mostly non-veg) and hygiene was taken care of as well. I was good and full from my meals, no complaints. The cruise also organised a Galabiya party, a sun-deck dinner, a Gala dinner, an evening tea-time on the deck, a belly-dancer show so we had something or the other planned every day :) Coming tired from all the sight seeing, we all felt like a nice big family on the cruise, nice and cozy in our cabins and on the deck. Highly recommend :)

Visit with family - It is not like a sea cruise, but a reasonable size floating hotel with a big dining hall, a small pool a bar a rooftop. Most of the time, the cruise is anchored at the various sites you are visiting with access to a small market nearby. The rooms are comfortable, but the toilets and bathrooms are really small and need improvements. Not sure why there was no bath curtain as water was spilling all over the bathroom (seems like Egyptians don't like bath curtains… was missing in all the hotels and guest houses we stayed !!). At Luxor, it is worth sitting on the rooftop watching all the tourist yacht boats going around. Also one walk to a local market (about 1 Km from anchored location). Keep about 2 hours for visit. The food was decent, but we would have liked more local dishes in the Menu. Like any other old style fancy hotel, WiFi was charged ($15/day), and so was water in the restaurant… Overall a decent and good value for money considering it covers stay and transportation and food costs.

Nice comfortable ship, but not the most modern - The ship is certainly one of the older ships from the 300 odd cruise ships in Nile. Bathroom are having molds, and the furniture and carpet need to be changed. The AC vents are really dusty, so do expect an allergic reaction to the dust. At Luxor the cruise docks at a berth outskirt of the town. So if you are planning any excursions in Luxor, keep in mind the additional taxi fare you will be paying. The ones that are docked in downtown in Luxor pay a higher parking charges. Kids will have a tough time getting entertained, since apart from a small shallow pool they do not offer any other sort of entertainment. We had kids using the unattended gym machines.
